Elena's Point Of View

"Darius what are you doing here?" I asked, looking at him.

"I'm here to see my son," he said, looking at me.

"What son?" I looked around, hoping no one was listening in on our conversation.

"Elena, I have apologized to you many times," he said. I didn't want to witness the look on his face. It was that of sadness. "I know I made a huge mistake by rejecting you, when you were pregnant with my son." He breathed out.

Was he trying to emotionally blackmail me?

"It's been eight years, eleven months and thirty days..." he cried out. "And I have not been the father I should have been to Justin. But you can't deny, he is still my son, Elena. I love him."

"Stop... stop crying," I said. I have never seen him this broken. I have never seen this pain in his eyes. And I couldn't stand it. I didn't want to feel like a monster. I swallowed hard.
