Chapter ４１

"Your parents will notice me strange."

"They're my parents, and I miss them. And they'll love you, David."

David  grabs my chin. I know what comes next.

I melt when David kisses me. My lips separate and electric impulses rush from my mouth to all other areas of my body. Instead, I throw my arms around David's , and straddle his waist on the snow.

He wiggles me out of his arms just before he kisses me again

On our way back to my home. Neme is with us, I sat in the pilot seat, while Neme sits in the back. Hunter doesn’t go with us because he has a urgent patrol task to deal with.

We've been in the Car for about three hours with Neme. And we seem to be talking about everything.

When a strong, warm hand softly places on my denim clad knee, I look away from the hazy pine woods. I look up to David's mesmerizing eyes.

"Will your family like me?" David asks, his eyes show he is worried about my parents' rejection.
