16 Chapter 15- Video

Buying a server for the game is quite easy, there was a list of contacts provided from the last contest which were mostly from companies to some services and there was a few companies selling servers.

So Tanaka contacted them, asked about their servers and after talking for a while, Tanaka chose a server that has fast connection and has petabyte storage, and it was also fast enough to not be laggy and store a lots of player accounts.

Though, it was only a server for japan, as for overseas, Tanaka decided to halt it for now since its not translated yet and so Tanaka decided to focus on his own country yet, no, he is not nationalistic, releasing games overseas is actually much difficult than you think.

Anyway, the server will be delivered on an apartment that Tanaka had rented, it was also near the school so Tanaka will be able to check it every time, next is the customer service, this one is also important, well, not that actually important but the ones on customers service will be the ones who will receive all the curses from the players so its quite a difficult job.

So Tanaka hired a big company and hired them for a year for 2 and a half million Yen, after that, all were done, Tanaka now only has to do the In-game purchasing, it was very important for the game since Clash of Clans is a 'Free to Play' Game, which means its a pay to win game, no, really, Genshin Impact is a free game :D

Anyway, this was actually where all the income of the game comes from, after all, Clash of Clans has no kinds of ads, ads destroy the fun of the game and Tanaka didn't like it too and was not really necessary for clash of clans.

But Tanaka was sure if players will actually pay for the game, I guess, it comes more to willingness? And reasons to pay for it? It isn't like those collectable games like card games or gacha games, CoC actually have little reasons for players to pay for it, but for some reason it still earned billions.

And Tanaka knew it's because of the Clans, yes, the most important fun of the game, Creating Clans in CoC is showing the others that you and your friends are the best, and if you want to show you are the best, you must be smart and have a strong base.

For Example, Tanaka used the developer's control to make a maxed base with strong defense then attacked the others, they couldn't do nothing as their base were decimated by maxed level troops, they also can't take revenge against him because their troops aren't even strong enough to destroy his defense.

Though he got gnawed by the others after that, this showed how powerful a base is if it has a higher tier than the others, but still this reason isn't enough for other players to pay for it, so Tanaka just hoped some big whales will take interest on it and pay.

Anyway, Tanaka created the in game purchases the same from his past life, though, the prices are a little bit more expensive but no one will know about that, so anyway, it was the next day that the game officially finished and will be released at all game platforms soon.

As a celebration for finishing the game, everyone decided to go enjoy themselves and go play at a theme park next sunday, everyone was very excited with this and Shinomiya will choose the place for them and no one rejected since its just choosing the theme park right? She seems more knowledgeable about this.

Since the schedule was next week and Tanaka still have a lot of time, Tanaka was already posting the Clash of Clans online, one is in play store for mobile and for the PC platform, Tanaka didn't do any PC platform since most of the Game Distributors were asking for too much.

Such as 60% of the profit from the game and even the rights to buy the game from the developer, its just a pit for developers so Tanaka just ignored the PC platform for now, and went for the mobile platform which is controlled by the Games Japan Association. Which is the government that was in charge of Game Developers, and they don't take any cuts from the game so Tanaka was happy to know this.

Who are they kidding? CoC might earn him billions, you know.

Well, that is for another time, anyway, Tanaka created a promotional video for the game and posted it on his Game Dev account in Metube, it was just a 1 minute 3D animation.

Yes, a minute worth of video that took 3 weeks to make, it's called Ride of the Hog Riders.

Then on another account which is almost like a vlog account, Tanaka posted another video but this time, it was behind the scenes of how the game was made, he also added a lot of humor and teaching lessons on the video, yes, this was the same as 'Dani' way of promoting his games.

Anyway, at the end of these videos, the official release date is shown which is in a week.

Now, all they have to do is wait and enjoy themselves on their upcoming trip next week.

But just then, he felt his phone ring and when he looked at the message, it was a message to their group chat and the message came from Shinomiya.

It said that they could bring their families along next week, and theres no need to bring foods, and they can also bring extra clothes as there is a swimming pool there.

"Oh, seems like she found a good theme park"

Tanaka was amazed, anyway, after Shinomiya's message, the group chat became lively and everyone started chatting with each other.

Tanaka then sent the links of the metube videos that he posted to the group chat and closed it off.

Naoto: Haha, thank you, but we really didn't do much, it was Tanaka-san who made everything, we just helped in some parts.

They then watched the next video which was the behind the scenes video with Tanaka's funny commentary.

The video started with Tanaka's avatar appearing on the screen.

"Hi, My name is Tanaka and I love playing games"

Tanaka spoke in a very calm manner, his voice was very attractive, a little bit seductive and manly.

"and so I started making video games"

The scene changed and this time, Tanaka appeared to be inside a room, even though Tanaka is a virtual character, his appearance didn't fall out of place, his avatar blended very well to the reality.

"Hi, My name is Tanaka, I am an G- Grade Video Game Developer, as of now, I have only created a single game and that is the Angry Birds"

After Tanaka finished speaking, the trailer for the angry birds appeared for a bit of time before going back to Tanaka.

The main idea of COC is fortifying your base, defending it from invading players, and raiding the bases of others in order to gain resources.

Gold, Elixer & DARK Elixer are the main resources here.

The PRIMARY OBJECTIVE of the game is- BE THE PERSON WITH MOST TROPHIES BY ATTACKING OTHER'S VILLAGE OR BY DEFEND SUCCESSFULLY AGAINST AN ATTACK.

FIRSTLY, You have to set up your village in the best possible way. Your builders build and you need to use GOLD to upgrade defense units and elixers to upgrade barracks,army camps and troops.

As Townhall improves,you will get new units for offense or defense.

It is basically a strategy, 'Time consuming', 'patience' , 'Addictive' game.

Other most interesting thing is clan war. Clan is something like group of villagers (players) who battles each other (clan vs clan).

There are other things which you will eventually come to know as you proceed.

Tanaka made the explanation as simple as he could while also not spoiling too much about the game, then scene changed once again and saw Tanaka along with some more virtualized characters drawing on their own.

Yes, it were the art club members but Tanaka virtualized their characters, as they were drawing, Tanaka who was drawing stopped and turned towards the camera.

"Here, we are drawing the characters of the game, we need to be a little quiet as the others doesn't want any noise when working"

Tanaka made a come with me gesture and they started looking around, the camera followed Tanaka as he showed what the Art Club members were drawing, one is drawing a skeleton, the other is coloring a Level 5 Dragon, while the others were drawing some building structures.

The tour lasted for about 5 minutes, where Tanaka showed the drawings to animations before the scene changed once again. Now, they are inside a studio with Tanaka handling the equipment and two people are inside the recording room, and just like the art club members, these two also have their own virtual characters.

Inside, they were making some noises and Tanaka will make a gesture if they should repeat or it was good.

"Aha!"

One yelled, yes, it was the voiceline for the archer. Tanaka listened to the voice before making the voice actor repeat it again. This went on for 3 more times before Tanaka was satisfied, and then he turned towards the camera.

"We are now doing the voices of the characters, though, they don't really say any words, we still have to give them voices"

Tanaka then started explaining things about the voice acting and how the other sound effects were made, this was a little bit longer than the drawing scene but Tanaka kept the video interesting.

Anyway, after they finished the recording scene, it changed to another scene once again, and Tanaka was mostly in the vids as he explained things to the viewers. He has good humor and is very clear about what he teaches, even Ishigami who was part of the ones who edited the video was so engaged to the video that he watched in total focus, this was the same for the others.

They have never seen a video being so interesting before and so before they knew it.

The video lasted for 45 minutes before the video finally ended.
