1 Chapter 1 The Abomination

"Can you hear me?"

Those are the first words I remember, everything else is hazy. I think I remember a village but that might have been a dream.

"Hmm, it didn't react to audio stimulus. Is this another dud?" The being said while poking me with a strange rod.

I recoil at this, unsure of who this creature is. let alone what it was, or what it was attempting to touch me with. It grinned at me, a oh-so sinister grin. It stared down at me with expectant eyes. Those unblinking abnormal yellow eyes which seem to peer directly into my soul. After what feels like 30 minutes of watching each other it opens its mouth.

"So you're not as brain dead as the rest of your "siblings". Intriguing, I'll have to check my notes to see what I did differently with you compared to the setbacks."

The being smiled, what I felt was an unnaturally wide smile. My eyes couldn't seem to adjust to the light, everything felt too bright and it hurt to look at anything so I closed my eyes, which caused the thing to erupt in laughter.

"How interesting you are my new creation. If you understand this move one of your many limbs, I am doctor Henderson and I am your creator"

It never seemed to blink, "Doc" just kept staring down at me watching, waiting for me to move.

Part of me now wishes I never did, that I just never moved that day. I'd surely be considered another dud and he'd just throw me out like the rest of my "brothers" but then I would have never met her…

needless to say, Doc seemed to be ecstatic from my movement.

"So it does understand! Or it's testing its limbs. Even so, this is progress."

Doc began to mumble to itself. My eyes haven't completely adjusted to the light but I could make out what looked like a stone slate floor. Tools hooked onto the northwestern side of the wall, along with something I could only describe as lobed-off meaty limbs some were even strung together to make what seemed to be a congealed mass of flesh and bone-shaped to have the likeness of a...Chair? Hooks were lining the western wall, some of the hooks decorated with limbs and torso of creatures both human and not. The southern wall had what looked to be storage but parts were strewn all over the floor and on the workbench. And what looks to be an exit right behind the tall being known as Doc.

While it was distracting I started moving towards "salvation". I now know he let me go. I fall from the table and slam into the floor. I'm not harmed at all, sure it wasn't a long distance between the top of the table and the ground but for a normal toddler they would be crying now.

*Squish~*

The sound of me falling scares me, but he is still mumbling and now has taken to shuffling his notes. I wiggle and writhe my way to the exit.

Back then my brain wasn't as developed and due to this I hadn't thought that the door wasn't designed for something like me was meant to use

The tall rectangular exit had a handle, I in contrast didn't even have hands. Not even legs to stand on.

- the urge to leave. grab the handle.-

my body reacted to those urges.

~Creek-Pop-crack-Rip~

With intense pain I saw my body combined all of my useless arms into one long arm, or would it be considered a tentacle?

That aside with my new actually useful appendage I open the door.

I could feel it. His gaze bearing into me.

Through a mix of uncertainty and anguish, I leave the foul-smelling lab, with the creature known as Henderson within.

The outside of the lab is surprisingly clean. Unsure of my new surroundings, I decided that more than one limb would be needed.

~Tear-Creak-Snap~

Breaking down one limb hurt more than multiple limbs breaking at once surprisingly. But now I have four pairs of short legs to get away from danger.

It took a few minutes for the pain to stop and could feel my nubs

I start moving through the stone corridors and see scrapes on the wall and floor that look like they were made by a scared desperate creature. The marks aren't deep nor wide enough to be an animal. These scratches are along the walls and floor.

As I was scuttling around the halls I saw signs with words I couldn't read. When I went into sroatge 1 I saw these strange beings in green liquid. They looked similar to Doc but different. One was blonde, another had brown hair, one looked stranger than the others. It had no hair and looked identical to the chair inside Doc's lab. Its flesh was a raw pink muscle protruding out of its skin. Bone jettisoning out of its dermis. And an eye stock with a bloodshot eye at the end of it.

It must be one of my "siblings".

After looking at the grotesque being I decided to leave sgotare 1 and explore some more.

Scurrying along I hear something moving above me or maybe the place was settling because it seemed to have stopped as soon as I noticed it. As I was listening and pondering I heard another noise… it sounds like, the gnashing of teeth against bone and muscle. I froze, I felt the presence of a hungry predator but I knew better than to let it know I was there.

Morbid curiosity is a surprisingly strong force even enough to override my survival instincts it seems.

I slowly and as quietly as I could turn the corner I saw it. A mound of flesh and bone, the sound seems to emanate from the mass. I couldn't see what it was devouring, it sounded fresh due to the wet slurps of bone marrow being sucked from the bone after I heard the thing finally break the bone.

My curiosity wasn't sated but I knew if it was danger would ensue so I was slowly moving away.

*i sMelL FlEasH, I SmeLl foOd*

I could hear it sniffing the air, I could hear its phlegm-filled lungs intake air and release it back into stagnant surroundings.

"Curiosity killed the cat. But what if you weren't a cat would you live?"

Those words flowed into my head, the reason for that escapes me even to this day. Nevertheless, I am writing this diary entry to recount the day of my birth, not to wax philosophy.

I immediately started scurrying away from my hungry assailant. The mound unfurled six long spider-like appendages from within its body and I knew I would be outmatched when it came to speed.

The heap was slow to get up and even had a little trouble standing upright, however that changed when that abomination made the revolting sound of regurgitation.

Curiosity is a dangerous thing, I halted and turned to see that thing spitting up its meal onto its legs, and the mass of flesh melded into its legs making them sturdier and worse of all making it easier to catch up to me

I may not be able to increase my mass, I can however can rectangle my limbs to suit my needs

~Creek-Pop-crackle-snap~

I reform my nubs to four crab-like legs but I also try to make myself smaller and make my legs denser.

*sÖ Mÿ fÖöD wÄñtŠ tö fïGhT BÄčk!¿*

What semblance of a voice sounded guiltier now, most likely due to it spitting up its nourishment.

I didn't want to give it the chance to close the distance so I immediately tested out the new legs hoping they wouldn't fail me. Even though they were numb due to the pain I powered through and stabbed my legs into the side of the wall and started climbing.

I would have noticed the pain of flesh piercing and scraping against metal if not for the numbness of my limbs and adrenaline.

Once I was upside down I felt safe. My "sibling" had other plans, however, as I saw its thick spindly legs curl, then extend outwards. Launching itself directly at me. I saw a lump in the creature's abdomen move from the bottom towards the throat and violently escape its mouth. That mysterious lump was its tongue, if you could even call the long sharp tentacle of meat exploding out from its mouth a tongue.

I quickly let go of my grasp of the ceiling, my dear "sibling" following suit. As soon as I landed I began sprinting in the direction of it. By the time it landed, I was behind it fleeing the in prompto feeding.

The ceiling began making a lot of noise and moving a lot but due to the hungry wall of flesh behind me, I didn't get a lot of time to dwell on that. It was moving at a frightening speed, far faster than I could run the only thing I had going for me was the fact that I had a head start.

Turning a corner I found myself in the worse possible situation. A dead-end

*hŪñgrŸ fÖøD*

Its cracked lips curved into a grin once it saw the predicament I found myself in. It's mouth began to water as it began to move closer to me, slowly advancing.

*NœWHęrë tø rÜŃ, ÑÒó whēRĖ tÔō hĮdé*

It opened its jaw unhinged, its maw wide as if to swallow me whole.

Back then part of me thought Handerson would save me. Then I was swallowed whole
