Victor's Failure

Within an hour Aoi and I collected 18 items from the chests that required answering questions. The treasure we collected were letters, jewelery, weapons such as kunai, rusty dual knives, smelly herbs, small paintings of legendary figures, pottery vessels that looked centuries of years old and a lot more. All in one big brown bag. We got bored and decided to go outside after all.

Fugo, Takeshi, Xavier and Nayeli were dominating outside from our class. Xavier shot a basketball fifteen meters away and still scored, that caused one chest to open. Fugo and Takeshi worked together to move a boulder out of the pathway. Surely they will receive a valuable item by doing something so back breaking. The performance of the other classes were poor compared to ours. We had the right people doing the right tasks. Class 1A are filled with intellectuals but none of them have above average strength, speed or flexibility. This is where they will suffer miserably. 1C and 1B both have capable leaders like Sue and Xavier but 1A's leader is a guy who is not even present at school today. Xavier gave Nayeli and Alisa directions to the gymnasium, there was a question there he was already familiar with. He wanted those two girls to attempt them since they are most suited for the task.

Xavier brought Aoi and I along with Tetsu together. First Xavier scolded us for coming outside but after he saw how many treasure we gathered he decided to let it slide. The four of us stood before a group of 1C guys. They all looked built for combat so I pushed Aoi away. No words were needed for what was about to go down. The Class 1C guys have a big bag filled with treasure just like us. We are about to use force and take it from them. Six against three, fair odds if you use quality over quantity.

Tetsu charged one guy and grabbed him by the throat. Another guy tried to jump Tetsu but he was upper cutter by Xavier. He proceeded to jump kick the bastard that Tetsu held onto him. As for me, I try my best not to get hit. I know how violent I can become if I'm not careful. Would have to impale someone again after what happened to Nayeli's big brother.

CRACK!!

I accidentally elbowed a guy so hard his nose broke. That's gotta hurt. Xavier's swift movements with Tetsu's strong grip eventually gave us what we wanted. While we beat up the 1C boys, the only girl of Class C was staring our way. She was impressed by Xavier's display of strength, she could not hide her bright smile while looking at him. Her classmates however, she quickly shifted gears and gave them an intense glare. All of a sudden she looks scary.

Her disappointment did not last long though because there was one guy who approached her either double the amount of treasure we had. He was not even a part of her class yet he gave her a huge load. Victor Cruz, our newly appointed Class Captain is helping Sue. She made sure to give us a smug face while collecting the treasure to top it all off.

"Hehehe". Xavier let out a short laugh deliberately to show he is not fazed by this. Since Xavier is not bothered, nobody decided to question Victor's action just yet. For some reason Xavier has full confidence that he is winning this hunt. After giving Sue a huge load of treasure, he bowed before us in apology.

Xavier patted his head and put him to the direction of the school gymnasium. What is wrong with them? Victor most likely has his reason for why he's helping Sue. Perhaps it's blackmail or a secret relationship between them. But Xavier, why is he taking this so lightly? Is the papers he had this morning that useful? I will get to the end of this by lunch break. Fugo and Nayeli soon arrived with medium sized bags of their own. Most of Fugo's treasure came from one chest. The one where he had to lift a boulder with Takeshi. Nayeli looked like she killed it in the gym section as well.

Xavier pointed me Fugo, Tetsu, Takeshi and himself to do a difficult task together. Meanwhile he gave Aoi and I a precise location where we would be useful on the outside. In the school garden, there were treasure chests that weren't open yet. One chest wanted us to get the Stephano's fingerprint. Aoi made haste and went to the student council room while I stayed and protect the chest from anyone who dares to approach it. All the treasure Aoi and I accumulated was with me of course, if they stuck with Aoi then they would have been gone by now. There are many beasts out there, waiting to see prey.

Speaking of beast, a member of Class 1C walked up to me. Sue was right beside him while he stared. I could already tell what was going to happen, I'm about to get jumped by this guy. Sue spanked the man on his bottom then rubbed his chin. That alone made the guy fired up and charged at me. Sue left before the outcome of our fight. I bet she's confident in her aroused boy. The guy who attacked me is named Saihara Konami. We are basically the same build, so the fight can go either way. He stomped on my left foot then drew me in for a wicked head-butt.

Next he tried to choke me but I backed away before hus arms reached. The second he charged at me again his face greeted my left foot. Two kick in the face should let him settle down.

SLAAAAMMM!!

I thought Saihara was about to fall on the ground, it should have been over now. Ouch! Owww! My head was held from behind and bashed into the hard concrete floor without mercy. I looked to see who it was and as shocked as I was. It made sense, Sue left way too early. She gave me the impression that she was overconfident of the outcome and left. How untrue that was, she simply left my sight to catch me off guard. To bash my head in herself.

She lift my head again to show her cute smile...Cute is not the right word, this girl is a menace. The malice I feel from her is unreal. Despite her small and frail looking body, she can actually fight.

SLAAAAMMMM!!

Once again she bashed my head into the floor until my nose bled and my forehead burst. Hehehe, no wonder our school nurse showed herself today after all this time. We're gonna need her. I swear, the second I get the stand up she's a dead bitch. Count on it.

Saihara took my bag with all the treasure inside then left with Sue. After I stood up, I tried giving chase but then I noticed seven guys staring at me from every angle. Settle down Aphrodite don't do anything stupid. I had to tell myself that repeatedly to stop the chaos. When Aoi arrived here with the president Stepheno, they were shocked to see me in my beaten up state.

Thankfully Aoi did not attack me for losing all of our hard work, instead she was relieved I was not injured worse than I was.

With Stephano's help, we claimed two rings from the chest. One was shiny and sparkling while the other was very old and dusty. Only one and a half hour remained, any other treasure we collect we better be close to our fighters or else we'll be in danger of losing it.

For the rest of the treasure hunt Xavier gave all of his classmates directions on where to go. No student disappoints in getting treasure because they were all given spots suited to them. Out of everyone the two students with the largest amount of treasure is unquestionably Sue Fong from 1C and Xavier Foster from 1B. 1A is not even in the competition anymore. Later on Sue and some of her minions were provoking the hot tempered Fugo. Unlike with me, they did not try to engage a fight with him. Fugo would violate them all no question. They persistently got in his way until Fugo blurted "Move out of my way!!" three times.

Zaaap!! Just like that Fugo got disqualified and all the treasure he accumulated meant nothing now. That idiot!!

When only half an hour remained, the competition between 1B and 1C began to look one sided. At first our class were keeping up with them, I dare say we were in the lead thanks to Xaiver. Close to the end game, things begin to change. Class 1C has been focusing more on taking treasures from others while leaving one genius to accumulate treasures the proper way. Fugo and myself lost a large amount of treasure to them, same went for Takeshi and Sayaka soon after. Victor also gave them an edge. Nobody noticed until today but Victor is an all-rounder type of guy. Smart, fast, strong and talented at many things. His help truly sealed Class 1C's victory.

Aoi and I were desperate for more treasure. We did not have at least half the amount stolen from us. Stealing back from Class C is no easy feat either. Every boy has a strong desire to not let Sayaka down, they aren't easy to deal with.

"Doesn't look good for us" I told Aoi. She nodded agreeing with me. "Heh, I was hoping that you wouldn't agree".

As we walked around aimlessly, we bumped into a huge crowd by chance. At the back of the school grounds was a gambling center. Victor was the one hosting the gambling event.

Students were willing to gamble their treasure in order to attain a large amount of treasure. Gambling is very risky, but at this stage. When time is almost up, risks must be done to turn the tables.

"We dony have much treasure. We should try our luck and gamble for a bit" I suggested to Aoi. Once again she nodded agreeing with me. "Hmm, I was hoping you would disagree. We are risking it all you know".

Victor approached us with a worried look on his face. "You're not planning on gambling your treasure away are you?".

"Yeah, what choice do we have".

"All the games here are rigged to Class C's favor. Don't waste the little treasure you have left". Aoi thanked him for the warning then pulled me away from the gambling center. Guess that's that, the Victor will clearly be Class 1C.

In the very last minute of the treasure hunt I saw Victor and Sue entering the locker room together. They wanted somewhere private to chat. I decided to tail them with Aoi following my every move.

Ring! Ring! Ring!

The school bell rings for lunch break. The school nurse Miss Yuki made an announcement. "Attention, Mr Raihan has disabled the function for your wristbands you may take them off now. All First years are required to gather at the courtyard within half an hour. The hungry may go eat something while the injured should visit me immediately. Good day".

After that announcement, I placed my ears at the entrance door to the locker room. Aoi did the same. "Finally I can speak whew".

"I did as you wanted Sue. I gave you thirty treasures, now can you please wipe away that photo".

"No problem, after graduation I would be happy to".

"I betrayed my class today because of you. Don't make my life any more complicated".

"Hmm, tell you what, if your class comes in dead last then I'll leave you alone".

.....

"Hahaha, see, you know it is impossible Don't you. Your class had Xavier, a guy who is experienced in monthly challenges compared to everyone else. He was doing great things today, too great I would even put it. Almost like he was cheating in a way. Your class wins this round".

.....

"Don't feel bad that I saw through you Victor. You're not hard to read. You knew I was going to have you work for me today so you gave your class the best advantage there is. A cheat sheet".

"How did—".

"Shhshh, I'm talking Victor. I thank you Victor, you made my class have an easy time today. All I had to do was have my boys steal from your boys. Easy peasy, the no violence rule sure would have came in handy for you all".

Huh, so what she did to me happened to many other of my classmates. That girl is a witch. Seems like Victor gave Xavier a big advantage for his class to win behind our backs but looks like it helped Class 1C too. Now I'm not so sure on who is going to win the title and privileges of Class 1A.

"You're—You're...". Victor tried as hard as he could but he just stopped mid way. Whatever he was going to say got clouded by fear. I could hear his heavy gasping from beyond the door, is he alright?

"Victor? You remember what normally happens to you in the locker room right? What the boys did to you, for a bunch of middle schoolers they sure were monsters. Hmm, I could just call some guys over right now" Sue teased him.

I imagine she's taking out her phone while telling him that.

"No! No need for that please, I wasn't trying to talk back to you I swear".

...

"I see, good boy. As long as I'm here at this school. Never plan on changing who you are OK hun. If you become a respectable human being, that would truly suck" she said while blowing him a kiss. I heard footsteps walking towards the door do Aoi and I quickly fled the scene. Judging from the conversation I have heard it seems that Victor was treated horribly in middle school and is trying his best to change his behaviour. We have some things in common after all, only difference is I want to change the world to please me. Not change me to please the world.
