Chapter 66 - Two is Better Than One

Lelith and Esdeath appeared in front of me across from each other, and the room seemed to freeze as they locked eyes with each other. Everything seemed to still as they stared each other down. There was no hostility in their eyes, not yet, at least. It was more akin to two predators sizing each other up, and I thought about stopping it, but realized this needed to happen. If they wanted to spar I'd let them, but Lelith was going to have a rude awakening if she thought she had a chance of victory. She was skilled and strong, but she was most definitely not my strongest summon, and definitely not stronger than Esdeath.

The moment stretched on, and I spotted Domino leaning again a wall, watching them with interest. Danzo appeared to be watching as well, though his eyes didn't hold the same curiosity that Domino's did.

It was quite the sight if I was being honest, watching the two deadly, and beautiful women gaze at each other.

Eventually, after a long moment, Lelith spoke.

"Your strong," She said, her voice not carrying the disdain I'd expect from a Dark Eldar when looking upon a human, but then again I would imagine Lelith would be good at telling if someone was strong.

"As are you," Esdeath replied. "I'm Esdeath, and you are?"

"Lelith."

"I'd love to spar with you," Esdeath said, a cold smile coming to her face. "Only blades of course, if I was using my teigu then you wouldn't last a minute."

I expected Lelith to grow angry at that, but instead, she only nodded. "Only blades. I am no fool. I am, well aware I am not the strongest among our master's summons, nor am I even in the top five, but what I am is the most skilled.."

That was probably true. Just the way she held herself and moved gave truth to her words. Eldar were graceful and skilled to the extreme, though it was good that Lelith knew she was not the strongest amongst them. In all honesty, she probably wouldn't be able to beat Lilah or Leone because of the level difference, which brought on another thought that had been in the back of my mind for a while.

How exactly did the level increase affect my summoning chances, did it just increase the chance of getting stronger summons without changing anything else? Or did it lower the chances of getting weaker summons while raising the chances of getting stronger summons? Or was something else entirely. It was something to ask Eden later and something I should have probably asked a while ago. I shook the thought away and turned my attetnion back to Lelith and Esdeath.

"Both of you can spar later," I said, interrupting their conversation, and making them turn their gases to me. "I have a job for the two of you, one that I think you'll enjoy, especially since you are both great at... interrogation and... torture."

Both smiled at that, and Esdeaht glanced over to Biroth.

"Him?" She asked,

I nodded. "I want both of you to make him feel pain but don't break him. His true death shall be a public event. Both of you enjoy inflicting pain and while I myself do not care for torture, I understand it. I want any piece of information you can get from him. Any tools you require just ask for. Is this something both of you can agree on?"

They turned to each other, and a long moment passed before they both nodded.

"Yes my love," Esdeath said. "We shall do this for you."

Lelith only nodded in agreement.

"Danzo, tell one of the guards outside to come in," I said.

Danzo nodded and did as I said, moving to leave the room. A moment later he returned with a guard in tow, who knelt at the sight of me, though his eye momentarily flicked to Lelith, which was unsurprising considering how she was still dressed.

"You will escort these two to the dungeon and inform the dungeon guards and place staff, that they're to be given anything they ask for," I commanded. "Go wait outside, they shall be with you in a moment."

The guard nodded. "As you command, your majesty."

When he left, shutting the door behind him, I turned to Lelith. "It's best if you change into your Wychsuit, that's far less revealing. You can wear your current garb when we're alone, but when we're with people change into your wychsuit."

She nodded and a moment later, her outfit was replaced by a flexible bodysuit, that while still slightly revealing it was no were near as revealing as her previous outfit.

"Now, take him," I said, pointing to Biroth," And head down to the dungeons. When you're done return here, though if it's after midnight then don't come searching for me. I will be occupied."

They both nodded and Esdeath gave me a quick kiss before leaving with Lelith.

"Now that's over," I said, standing up. "I'm gonna get some rest. I'm gonna send you to storage Domino and you as well Danzo but from tomorrow onwards you'll almost always be out. I have similar plans for the others as well."

They both nodded and a moment later was back in storage leaving me alone.

The immediate silence afterward there leaving was broken by a maid entering the room with a cart full of covered plates.

"One of your advisors suggested you might like to eat in your chambers tonight," The maid said, stopping the tray in front of me before refilling my glass.

"That's fine, thank you," I said, giving her a smile and waving her away. She curtsied, clear surprise in her eyes before she left.

I dug into the food with gusto, knowing I'd need the energy for tonight. While that thought was in my mind I sent a mental command to Migi who appeared a moment later. So far he had only combined with my right arm and I knew he had fused with other parts of my body, but he had yet to fuse with my heart. In the show just fusing with the right arm and parts of the body probably wouldn't have had the same benefit as fusing with the heart, and the Migi in the anime wouldn't have done it because he would have lost more of himself, but my Migi could level up, which meant his capabilities were increased so he didn't have to worry about the same things the Migi in the anime had to.

"Do You require any assistance?" Migi asked

I nodded. "Yeah, I do and some advice. I also have questions to ask,"
