28 Chapter 28 - Summoning Time

Asara led us to a small clearing surrounded by a few trees away from everything else. Apparently, it was an area for when someone wanted to be alone or to meditate which made sense since it was very calm and peaceful. The trees glowed with beautiful green light and the leaves swayed to a gentle breeze that sent motes of glittering light into the air. The grass was far softer than normal and was easily soft enough for someone to sleep on. It also helped that everything was kept clean.

After Asara left I summoned everyone but Rath who was still near the exit being petted by Asara's two riders and a couple more that had shown up. I wasn't worried about him, he was probably basking in the attention.

"Alright I'm about to use two summoning tokens," I said. I had planned to use all 3 but I wanted to keep one just in case and I sure as hell wasn't going to be using the situation token now. I'd use that when the situation called for it. I actually already had a few ideas on how to get a good summon from it, but that was for later. For now, I had two new summons to welcome.

Everyone gathered around behind me in a semi-circle and I used the first summoning token.

"Well, goddamn," I muttered as I looked at my new summon. I was a huge fan of soul eater and I immediately recognized the Neko bombshell that was Blair.

Young and tall, with an alluring figure and curves that would make most woman jealous, Blair was definitely quite the sight. Short violet hair with long strands on each side of her face curled up and around to resemble her tail. Her eyes were bright yellow and she had purple cat-like ears with pinks tips atop her head, though those were currently hidden by her black witch hat. Her dress was simple yet suited her. A blade blue dress that showed off her shoulders and wrapped around her neck with long, open sleeves that revealed her hands and shoulders. Add to that a short skirt with white frill and long high-heeled boots.

She smiled at me revealing two small fangs. "Master."

She elongated the word into a soft purr as she quickly closed the distance and latched herself onto me. In a similar way to Leone, she pushed my head into her breast while rubbing the back of my head.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't attracted to her and wasn't enjoying it, but after a few more seconds I pulled my head away and have her a warm smile which she returned. "Welcome to the team Blair, it's nice to meet you."

"Glad to be here, master," Blair replied, looking at the others. "And it's nice to meet all of you too."

"You're a cat lady?" Zombiman asked.

"Just a cat with magical powers," Blair said, turning her attention to Gible. "And what are you, little guy?"

"Gible!"

Reaching down, Blair picked Gible up and began to pet him. "Nice to meet you, Gible."

"Damn your stacked, I'm a little jealous," Domino said playfully.

"Oh please, you look great in that skin-tight outfit," Blair replied. "Very good."

"All right, alright," I said, interrupting them. "I still have one to go."

Blair wasn't a bad addition by any means, and not just because she looked like a supermodel. that was a plus. Blair actually had magic, enhanced fighting abilities, and what was really broke was her nine lives ability. She had to be killed nine times before she died and even after she did I'd just be able to summon her back after a certain amount of time. It was a pretty broken ability and after she had a few more levels her magic would be even more powerful. Her explosive pumpkins would be very useful in the upcoming battle. Not to mention she had other types of magic as well including one that allowed her to shrink objects.

As the others continued introducing themselves I used another summoning token and hoped for at least some form of stealth or spy even if it wasn't that powerful.

The flash of light came and went.

The talking behind me went silent as I gazed at the machine in front of me. It seemed as those my hopes had been answered even if I hadn't expected this at all. I had played horizon zero dawn a while back and while I wasn't an expert on the game I recognized the machine in front of me.

It was a slender and streamlined machine painted black and composed of small hexagonal plates that fit together in a chainmail-like pattern. Four sensors were built into its head and its four legs were equipped with razor-sharp claws. Its tail was long and spiked and from what I remembered it also possessed some form of dart gun and a proximity mine launcher, but neither of those were its main weapon. Its main weapon came from its ability to cloak itself. To make itself invisible.

It was essentially a walking weapon of war if one thought about it. It could infiltrate and set up mines, set up ambushes, and devastate small packs of soldiers. It was quick and agile and would be a terror to deal with. Thank you system, I thought, two summons I can definitely use right now.

"Damn, that's one hell of a robot," Domino said.

"I've never seen a metal danger beast, but I'd imagine that's what it would look like," Leone said.

"You haven't seen its true ability yet," I said, sending a mental command to it to go invisible.

There were a few gasps from behind me as the Stalker suddenly vanished, though if one looked very closely they could a disturbance in the air, though with the speed it moved, it would be hard to get a lock on.

Migi appeared from my hand and moved his gaze over the stalker though he could see it. "It's a very useful ability but the air around it shimmers. Some form of light manipulation then. Very advanced technology. I have never seen anything of the like."

I nodded. "The worlds it's from had plenty of things like it."

I sent a mental command for it to stop cloaking and a moment later it reappeared.

"All right that's it for now," I said. turning around. "We're all going to be leaving soon for an upcoming battle. Two thousand soldiers against us and fifty talon riders. Basically super-powerful humans on giant flying birds. I just want to go over a few things because I feel like this time we actually need a plan. Migi I ask that you correct or add anything if you feel like there could be some changes to what I'm about to say."

"Of course," Migi replied.

"Ok. So the plan is actually quite simple i want to essentially flank the soldiers when we get there and get them distracted and looking at all directions. We can't let them act as a whole. Blair will be up on Rath providing artillery fire alongside Raths' fireballs. Lilah and Domino will be a duo. Lilah for close range, and Domino for mid to long-range. The same for Leone and Zombieman. You two will stay together. Gible will be with me while stalker, that's what we'll call it for now, will be causing chaos within their ranks and using his proximity mines to cause havoc. If this goes well then they won't have time to do anything and we should come out with minimal losses. Everyone understand?"

They all nodded.

"How about you Migi, anything to add?" I asked.

"No, it is a fine plan, though the risk will be far greater to the talon riders," Migi said. "They are not immortal like us. If we die then we will simply return after a set amount of time, but they will not. In line with your morals, I think it best if we lead the charge as some might say."

I nodded. That made sense. With defence force and Migi I'd be very hard to kill and my summons couldn't truly die, so they didn't have to worry about anything, but the talon riders would. If they fell then there was nothing I could do as I didn't have a summon that could heal yet, which was unfortunate and something the situation token might solve though that was an idea for later.

"All right that's the plan then," I said. "Let's head back to Asara now, her and her riders are probably ready. I'll summon you all when the time comes but for now I'll just keep Lilah and Domino out."

They all agreed and a moment later I was walking out of the trees with Lilah and Domino at my side.
