Serious talk

Seeing her smile, his eyes darkened slightly. Over the previous six years, both of them had spent most of their time together, fostering a strong attachment.

However, their feelings for each other were not as pure as when they had first met.

His desire to become stronger had kept such thoughts at bay. Yet, as he watched her smile and observed her mature figure, he couldn't help but gulp down his feelings. His eyes grew warm with desire.

Ember sensed his emotions through his gaze, causing her face to redden. She wasn't naive about such matters, but knowing and experiencing were two different things.

"Ash…" She began to speak, aiming to escape the awkward moment.

Before she could finish her sentence, he appeared right in front of her.

"Little chaos, seal the cave door," he commanded, embracing her waist while summoning his chaos sword. Without waiting to hear any dissatisfaction, he quickly retreated to his room.

Initially surprised, Ember blushed as she witnessed him rush into the cave room. She buried her head on his shoulder; this urgency reminded her of the incident from six years ago.

She felt the rhythm of his heartbeat and his body temperature. His unique scent enveloped her senses, momentarily captivating her.

However, her attention shifted as she became aware of the soft bed beneath her. Opening her eyes, she saw him sitting on the bed, his gaze fixed on her.

"Ash…" She called out, tugging at his sleeve. His eyes held a perplexed expression. Now, his desire replaced the intensity.

Asher observed Ember on the bed, his mind now filled with questions. He had a lingering suspicion that her attraction might be tied to the chaotic sword. He didn't want to push her into a relationship based solely on external factors.

"Ember…" He whispered softly, his eyes locking onto hers as he posed a serious question, "If the chaos sword were not in the picture, would you still love me?"

She was taken aback by his words. Gazing into his eyes, she could sense his turbulent emotions. A soft smile graced her face.

Rising from her reclined position, she wrapped her arms around his neck. Tilting her head slightly, her soft lips brushed against his. Asher felt a surge of electricity from that gentle touch.

Her lips were soft and sweet, enticing him to savor the moment even more. But before he could deepen the kiss, she playfully moved away from his lips, emitting a giggle.

"Asher, it's true that initially, I might have been drawn to you because of the chaotic sword. But when I saw you that day at the spirit guild, I had already fallen for you," she confessed, looking at his dazed expression with sincere seriousness.

"In my heart, you're already my man. I would follow you even to the ends of the world in this lifetime," her words resonated in his mind, bringing a smile to his face.

"So, Ash, please remember that you will be my husband in this lifetime."

Hearing her words, Asher felt a warm current in his heart.

Which man wouldn't want his woman to love only him? If he loved a woman, he would love her wholeheartedly. So, he wanted to be sure that Ember truly loved him before taking the final step.

"Ember, then you must remember, you will be my only..." Before he could finish his sentence, Ember placed her hand over his mouth.

He looked at her, perplexed. Observing the confusion in his eyes, she let out a soft sigh.

"Asher, you possess great talent, which means you'll have many women in your future. I don't want you to be confined to just me," she spoke with clarity in her eyes. He could sense that she wasn't even slightly discontent with that possibility.

"But..." He began to speak.

However, she cut him off before he could continue, "I'm merely one of your sword spirits. There will be many more. Asher, you must understand that having multiple wives doesn't equate to cheating in this world. I only hope that you'll continue to love me in the same way every time." Resting her head on his shoulder, she smiled.

Asher gazed at the woman by his side with warmth. He felt that luck was on his side in this lifetime. First, it gave him a family, then a pet, and now her.

He felt her breathing beginning to even out. "You're trying to sleep while keeping me hot?" he smirked. He moved his face closer to hers and gently nibbled on her little ear.

"Ah..." She was taken aback by the bite. Quickly pushing him away, she regarded him with an indignant expression.

"Did it hurt?" He inquired, slowly approaching her and touching her ear.

"Hum," she pouted, her voice low as she averted her gaze.

Observing her expression, he found it amusing. He relished her sulking face, secretly delighted that she only revealed it to him.

Softly pinching her jaw, he met her eyes. "Ember, don't let any other men see this expression," he stated, not hiding his jealousy.

Her smiles, flirtations, and sulking were reserved solely for him. He didn't want another man witnessing those expressions on her face.

"You're acting as if I'm showing these expressions to someone else. Hum, I haven't even smiled at my father," she retorted, playfully biting him on his chest.

However, her teeth couldn't pierce through his firm chest, causing a slight discomfort in her teeth.

She rubbed her teeth in annoyance. Without glancing at him, she closed her eyes as if feigning sleep. Witnessing this, a mischievous grin formed on his lips.

"Wife, do you know how a husband punishes a sulking wife?" he whispered in a low voice, but his tone sent a cold shiver down her spine.

Looking at him, she saw him removing his upper clothing, revealing his well-defined body. His physique boasted perfect muscles and a chiseled six-pack.

Her mouth dropped open in astonishment.

In a matter of minutes, he positioned himself above her, silencing her surprised expression with a passionate kiss.
