CHAPTER ONE: Part One::

CALIFORNIA.

It was a bright knife blinding day outside, Kira sat nervously in the back seat, not as much enjoying the view of the highway, she heaved a heavy sigh for the fifteenth time, trying to push nervousness to the back of the line.

"Hey baby, everything's gonna be fine." Her dad said, glancing at her through the rearview mirror.

"Thanks dad." A brief smile drove itself across her pale face.

"You're welcome dear."

She was a white skinny refugee, smooth short hair in colour of dirt, sharp facial features and light blue eyes you could get lost in.

"Hey darling, I know you're really nervous about going to college stuff but listen, that's life for you, things might seem harsh on you at first but with time, you'll definitely get used to it."

"Thanks again dad," she smiled.

No matter how thoughts ran through her mind, Kira fought as hard to compress herself and act normal.
