CHAPTER TWELVE

The week end came fast like it normally always do, it comes fast and it leaves fast. Jackie and the boy were already at my house I mean they now know that my dad is my dad but I told them that it was between us.

"So, what's the deal with Clay?" Jordan asked as he put a chip in his mouth. We were sitting in out private theater. We wanted to watch a movie, but Jordan decided to ask the long-awaited question I mean I am even surprised it took him this long to ask.

"Well we went to the same school back home" I can see the surprised look on the boys' face. So, Jackie didn't spill. I looked at her

"What did you think I was a big mouth?" Jackie said looking at me. She was quite offended. She shouldn't blame me she seems to tell Jordan everything that she hears but I guess if you tell her to keep it a secret, she is good to go.

"But why do you seem to hate him? because I don't get why you hate him so much"

"He sorts of broke my trust and now I can't stand seeing him" My mind kept going back to those times and I did not like it.

"You dated him?" Jordan asked again

"Not him but his cousin"

"Wait you dated Christopher?" Jackie said with wide eyes

"You guys know him?" I said looking at them acting kind of surprised because Clay already told me but I did not want to believe it.

"Who at Grey Land doesn't know Christopher. That guy is menace He has broken a lot of school rules even more than Erwin and he is also Friends with Erwin" Jackie said in one breath. Girl relax. So, he is friends with Erwin well the more reason to stay away from the guy.

"Still doesn't explain why you almost passed out in fear" Daniel said this time, he was quiet throughout the conversation. Did I look that terrified for him to ask with so much worry? This guy cares too much and I might think he is in love with me but he actually like Jackie and Jackie likes him but they haven't realized it yet. I so badly want to tell them and get this whole thing off of my chest. I hate the fact that I am suffering like this.

"So why did you break up with him" The big question

"Well... as I was about to answer my room door opened and one of the house keepers came in to tell me that my father was home.

He travelled to Switzerland for business. He has been away for about a month. I was in the house with Kathrine and Mira. Ivan has his own house so he just comes home to visit. I got up from the fool which I was sitting and went to welcome him. He has been trying so hard to build a relationship between us and I am not pushing him away either but I still haven't called him dad yet.

He held out two black bags to me. In one was a designer purse which the name I did not know but the leather was quality. The other was filled with different types of candies. I need to fill my containers. I thanked him and went to my room. The boys were playing a game on my Tv. I have a Play Station but I do not use it. Jackie was reading a magazine on my desk. I guess the talk can wait.

I picked up my phone and saw a text from Erwin. I have not spoken to him since Friday. There were a lot of Hi and hey and I really do not want to answer him just yet. Then my phone rang I ended the call. Jason's phone rang he picked it up, he turned to look at me I shook my head I did not want to talk to him.

"Talk to him" Jason said to me

"No"

"Come on he keeps bothering me" Jason said while Jackie laughed at him. We know Erwin to be a handful. I still don't know why I am upset but I was very offended. I finally decided to pick up.

"hey" I said nonchalantly

"Can we talk?"

"Speak" I really want to get this over with

"I'm sorry"

"for what?"

"For getting you upset. I did not mean to"

"I really do not have time for this Erwin"

"Please talk to me. I miss you" Is this guy serious right now. What is he playing at?

"I'm talking right now"

"Not like this. Let's talk when you come to school on Monday" this boy is infuriating. He hung up the moment he stopped talking. Who does he think he is?

I went back to surfing through the stuff Dad got back. I know I said that but he is not going to know yet. Speaking of which I have not seen Mai around in a very long time. Heard she was busy with work.

Evening came and my friends had to go back home so I saw them off and the went to my room. My father was sitting on my bed which I am very surprised to see him there

"Hey?"

"How are you Olivia?"

"I am alright"

"I see you have made friends"

"Yeah" I said quietly without looking at him

"Are they nice to you?"

"Yes" Where is he getting with this? This is so unlike him

"You know if you have any problems you can come to me right"

"Yes"

"That's good. I will leave you then. Goodnight" He said as he gave me a kiss on the forehead and walked out of the room. What is up with him? Did Switzerland do something to him?
