CHAPTER EIGHT

The first half of the day was already over and it was time for lunch. The three of us went to wait for Jackie in front of her class the moment she saw us, she ran to us hugging me saying how I abandoned her and left her for the wolves she is just too dramatic for her own good. She held my hand and took me to the cafeteria. The school's food menu was a very large one so everybody had a choice so I chose a burger instead. We went to the same table we sat yesterday as we were walking I could her people whispering is 'Is she the one?' I knew they were talking about me but I just ignored it. We got to our seat to start eating when I told Jackie about her brothers crush then she started teasing him, he kept on telling me he was going to kill me.

We kept on teasing him when somebody sat on our table all of us turned to look at the person. He is a fine man; he is carrying that same bored face that Daniel has.

"Would you look at that" a guy whom I didn't notice was standing behind the intruder

"What a great reunion" The guy said again. It seems like the people in this place do not understand the word personal space, but it seems like they know who this person is.

"Seems like you made a new friend Daniel so unlike you. I'm sad" he with the fakest sad face I have ever seen. He then turned to me with a smile which I can't tell if he is faking it this time.

"Hi I'm Erwin" he said extending his hand out to me for a hand shake

"And she is not telling you her name Montgomery" She said evading the handshake.

"Seriously Jackie?" He said chuckling "You don't want me to know your new friend?" He asked looking at me with a smile while I looked at him like he was crazy.

"You really are something" Jackie said rolling her eyes

"So, you are not going to tell me your name?" he asked me again

"I'm Alice" I finally told him so he would go away

"I kind of prefer Olivia" wait...

"So, you know my name already then why are you asking?" This dude is crazy

"No reason, just wanted to hear it from you" He said with a shrug

"Come on Erwin lets go" The guy with him said while laughing at our faces. Erwin got up then extended his hand out to me again for a hand shake Which I took

"Your hands are soft. I like it"

"Really Erwin talking to a new comer that's unlike you" what's with these people

"Really Lilian interrupting my conversation with a new comer that's unlike you"

"My boyfriend is talking to another girl should I not be bothered"

"I am not your boyfriend" He said looking annoyed

"Not to your parents" She said with a smirk

"Why don't you date them. See you around Olivia" He said as he walked away. The girl Lilian looked annoyed. She looks very pretty I am not going to lie but she is just embarrassing herself right now.

"This is the only time I do support Erwin; Lilian is a total bitch" Jackie said looking at a very upset Lilian who was still standing at our table.

"Have something to say to me Jackie" Lilian said looking at Jackie like she was about to claw her eyes out.

"I do have something to say Desperation does not look good on you" Jackie said as she got up to be on the same face level as Lilian. Lilian seems like she does not like being challenged so out of anger she reached out to pull Jackie's her but I was quick enough to grab Lilian's hand from going any further. She then then turned to me with anger

"Who do you think you are holding me like that?" she asked angrily

"Who do you think you are to act like a wild animal in a school premises. You seem proper so act like it" I said before letting go of her hand like it will get me infected anytime soon. I may be calm and quite but you can't walk over me just like that. She did not like that not that I care but I really do not want to have any problems with anybody and it seems like problems are looking for me where ever I go.

"For a new person you do seem to get involved with things that don't concern you. I will advice you to back off" She said poking me on the shoulder.

"And I would advice you to stay out of my face" Poking her right back. She was about to slap me when her friends pulled her back.

"Miss Walker report to the principal's office!" A loud voice called from the speaker in the cafeteria. Daniel looked at me like telling me I owed him an explanation. I don't get I do not want to go around school telling everybody that I was the illegitimate daughter of the principal's godson. I do want to tell them but we have to be close to some extent.

I got to his office, his secretary did not bother stopping me because I would not have been pretty for her, I think she is still traumatized from the last time I came here. He was standing in front of the window looking out to only God knows what I said a word of greeting to him, I always do that whenever I meet anybody who is way older than me, it is how I was raised.

"Have a sit Alice" I sat on one of the sofas' in the office

"How are you enjoying the school so far?"

"It is great"

"Are you having any problems?"

"No" I replied not knowing where this was going

"Just because I don't come over to your block doesn't mean I do not know what is happening around my school"

"I really do not have any problems"

"Then what was that between you and Miss Tallman" I looked at him confused like who is that and who the heck named himself Tallman.

"Miss Lilian" OH! So that's her surname no wonder she is stupid. I have got to give the old man credit he has very sharp eyes.

"Please do not tell my him"

"I will not tell your father, do not let it happen again and if you have any issues come to me. You father brought you here so you would have somebody to go to incase of any issues as he is not here with you" I only gave him a nod and left his office.

By the time I got back our next class already started it was history. Daniel kept a seat for me. I noticed Erwin was in our class. Why did I not notice him earlier? The class went on for an hour but this time I paid attention because history has a way of grabbing my attention and just like that, I am drowning in it. After the class we were supposed to have two others but the teachers were having a meeting so the classes were canceled and we were all asked to go home which I gladly did because I was already tired of this place. Jackie came to meet us in our class then we went we to a café that was just a ten minutes' drive from the school I called Richard telling him where I am going to and telling him that I would call him when I was ready to leave.

We got to the place, it was a small story building, it was cute to say the least. The anesthetic was wonderful and the environment has a really calm feeling to it. I really like it. On the right wall as you walk into the building with tape lights Noel's was written on it. That was the name of the café the owner is a middle-aged lady, she named if after her daughter who is just six years old. I ordered a slice of chocolate cake and chocolate milkshake. I love chocolate to the point that if I am to get kidnapped it would be because of chocolate. Jordan was asking me about myself and everything about myself I just told them that my mom was late and I leave with my father I leave with my father and his family, I never gave them the details not yet but maybe one day I will but for now let's keep it as short as possible. They were okay with it and understood I did not want to share too much so Jackie changed the topic to talking about how she met Daniel. According to her they met when both families business merged because the twins parents business was going to the ground and Daniel's parents were close with theirs so for old time sake Daniel's parents agreed for the merge Daniels dad as CEO while the twins father as president and they have been doing so fine since then.

We were at the café for about an hour when I saw Richard drive in, he called and said that my father was at the house and he needed my attention. So, bid them goodbye and left. In my heart I was wandering why he wanted to see me but I seriously hope nothing happened to Aunt Beth because she is the only one who is really close to her yet very far.
