Stage II, Chapter XIV: Karman Extermination

"Good thing you finished quick, at least. Look, the portal is going crazy." Kenneth pointed to the portal, which was constantly changing sizes. One second it became big, then the next it would contract and be as small as a door. The constant size shifting caused the ground all around to rumble and go crazy. It was as if an earthquake was happening.

*Dun* *dan* *dun*

The sound of heavy footsteps could be heard from the inside of the portal. And they were getting closer. Everyone went silent. The only audible noise was the footsteps hitting against something. Everytime it seemed like the thing was passing through the portal, the footsteps would go a bit quieter.

"Get back! Something is approaching!" Kenneth shouted at his siblings.

Hearing this, everyone fell back as they retreated a good distance from the portal. Then they knew. The thing was almost out.

An arm poked out. The arm, blue in color, was about Lucas' size. Five fingers, extended from the hand, began to move in creepy ways. The sound of bones cracking emanated across the whole area. Almost as if the one who was on the other side hadn't moved in a while.

Then another limb poked out. The leg was equally as gigantic as the arm, and still had that blue color. But this one had scars. Little, small. Scratches all over. Most likely inflicted by swords or spears..

"Who.. dares disturb the work.. of the KARMAN!" The voice of the one on the other side screamed loudly. Then the whole body passed through.

What ensued was a giant, around twelve meters tall. Muscles all over it's body, it's monstrous strength could be compared to that of the minotaur Lucas fought, but stronger.

The last arm was dragging something through the portal. Metal constantly clanking against the floor, something really heavy was on the other side.

"Petty humans... Gromach will destroy you ALL!" His other arm finally revealed itself to be carrying a Morningstar. Unafraid of the spiky weapon, the giant rested it over his shoulder.

"I still wonder how aliens managed to speak this world's language, but I guess there's something else entirely to worry about. Watch out for those spikes, it'll kill you if it touches you." Kenneth pointed to the spikes lined up all around the ball of steel. Just a touch from the razor sharp edges would be enough to deliver a bloody wound.

In response to Kenneth's explanation, the Karman brought the heavy weapon above it's head, before smashing it against the ground.

Following the initial smash was a large explosion that knocked back the siblings.

"Fuck, that was close. My legs are getting weak.." Lucas struggled to steady himself as his legs began to shake, almost making him fall.

"That blast hurt. Are you guys alright?" Kenneth asked his siblings.

"I'm fine, little brother. Are you okay? Any injuries?" Lena began to rub her hands all over Kenneth's body.

"I'm- fine. What about you two?" Kenneth turned his attention to Catalyn, who managed to not get pushed back as far as the others, using her magic to enhance gravity's pull on her.

"I'm fine, young master. Aurelia is also fine, too." Catalyn gave Kenneth a look of reassurance.

"Alright then. Sheesh, we really should've thought this through before blindly rushing in. I blame Lucas." (Kenneth)

"I'm heading in, lil' bro. Watch my back, will you?" Lucas seemed to have recovered, and was now standing up and preparing to lunge in.

"Let's do it. Lena, cover my front. Catalyn, assist Lena. And Aurelia, look for any spot you can use to your advantage. Let's get this show on the road!"

"Infuriate." Snapping his fingers, Kenneth casted an anger inducing spell, riling up the Karman.

"WRRAAAA!" Both the Karman and Lucas dashed in and clashed their weapons. The morning star met with Lucas' tough gauntlets, and sparks from the two causing a small crater to appear on each of their feet.

The contest of strength had begun. Despite Lucas' trained body, he was only able to hold off the morningstar for a few seconds until the Karman began to win, pushing Lucas back.

"Annoying HUMAN!" The Karman had had enough. With a surge in strength, the alien pushed back Lucas. Lifting it's massive weapon, the Karman swung it towards Lena.

"Big sis, watch out!" Kenneth warned Lena.

Just before the spikes had grazed Lena's face, Catalyn instantly casted a portal directly behind her. Lashing out her whip, she carefully wrapped it around Lena's figure and pulled her through. Not even a second later, the morningstar smashed through Lena's original spot.

The impact left a small crater behind, which just goes to show how monstrous the Karman's strength really was.

"Thanks a lot, little sis. You saved me there." Lena thanked Catalyn

'That's weird. The Karman doesn't seem to be going as crazy as I thought it would. He's not swinging his weapon around like a madman.' Kenneth thought to himself.

"GragAaA!" Seeing that it's attack had missed, the Karman was mad.

"No time to laze around, Mister!" Lucas appeared in front of the Karman and delivered a clean punch to it's body. It looked like it did some damage, but they couldn't gauge how much. The Karman wasn't showing any other facial expressions beside the one of him clearly pissed at the siblings.

Realizing his punch didn't do much, even when aimed at where the solar plexus could be, Lucas opted for a more, dirty.. way of fighting. Raising his right foot, he drove it deep into the Karman's genitalia area.

Finally getting a reaction, a face that screamed pain, Lena called for Lucas to retreat.

The final attack was now prepared. Aurelia first drew her bow and fired multiple arrows.

Flying through the air, each of the arrows, despite being fired on the same shot, managed to land in four different places. Two below the Karman's arms, and two behind it's legs.

Casting Overgrowth on the arrows, the seed implanted on the tips suddenly grew into vines and began to wrap themselves around the Karman tightly.

"HUMANSS!" The Karman struggled angrily as he tried to pull of the vines, but they weren't letting go. As soon as one of the vines were breaking off, another was shot by Aurelia, further tightening it.

"I'm ready!" Lena, with the help of Catalyn, had already set up her mirrors. "Reflective Beam!" Three different beams of light were emitted from her wand, each going in a different direction towards it's respective mirrors. The glass were set around the Karman, making a triangle shape around it, with the mirrors being on the three points.

The distance between the mirrors were covered instantly by the beams and upon getting on contact with the reflective mirrors, changed directions and headed towards the Karman.

Seeing this, the Karman once again tried to struggle out, but was surrounded by the enroaching beams of light and hit from three different sides.

"DaMN HUmANSS!" The attack left the Karman's body in pieces. Three distinctive holes were spotted over his brain and the others in his torso.

"He's still alive? What the fuck man." Lucas began punching the Karman like a punching bag for training. "Hehe, this is actually pretty nice. Can I take this home and use it for my training?" He asked his siblings.

"Absolutely not. We're sending it to the Guild along with the morningstar as proof of kill. It'll help us with our plan." (Kenneth)

"Good job, little bro!" Lena took Kenneth from Catalyn's arms and began hugging him.

"Uh, yeah. Good job to you too. And all of you."

"Anything for you, young master."

"It was nothing, my lord."
