All Bow Before The Magical Villain

ON HIATUS If transmigration fails, try rebirth. In a magical world where power spoke before all else he would be the most powerful of them all and with their bones he would build his throne. Dex Atticus had transmigrated from earth to a magical continent. He lived right, saved millions and became the justified magic emperor. He had been the hero, or that was how he saw himself after all, it was what transmigrators did in the books. But he was betrayed by those he saved and killed by those who wanted his power. And just when he thought that death had come calling, he returned to start over again. And this time, he had a hunting system as a cheat. All magical inheritances would be his, all the glory would be his, all the wealth in the world he would claim and the most outstanding women, he would take. All his enemies would fall on his sword and every creature on the continent would bow before him, the new reigning supreme villain emperor. He would not be the hero they rejected, he would be the villain they loved. When they asked why he was cruel to the good guys, Dex would simply say, "I am allergic to heroes." Buying the Sorenson house.

If he calculated the time now, Sid Sorenson had been gone for at least twenty eight years and some months. In five years, he would back to have his revenge on his enemies.

Five years, would that be enough time for him to match up to Sorenson's strength?

The man noticed that Dex had been silent for a while and he seemed to be deeply contemplating on something. He wondered if the big business which had come would fly away so soon.

Jebi had mentioned that this client would be paying in gold.

"Patron, there is a house..." He started making an alternative suggestion but Dex cut him off.

"I will take the Sorenson house." Dex said suddenly.

"What?" the man literally screamed the question out.

"For real!!" Jebi was surprised as well.

"Mmm, how much is it?" Dex asked the man.

Quickly, albeit confused, the man took a scroll out from the pouch on his pocket. He unrolled it, and his eyes roamed over it quickly.

"Two hundred gold," he said.

"Oh." Dex said.

It sounded quite cheap to him. The house in which a future grand mage, one who wielded sword magic so proficiently lived in was so cheap!!

What a core for him, people treated places where grand mages lived or trained like shrines. Some would pay thousands of gold to sleep where they had once slept.

Others wanted to train where they trained, used the cups or plates they touched.

There were only three grand mages in the kindgom of Cillia. Grand mages were the top of the food chain, the strongest, most rare and most admired. The hierarchy of mages was simple;

Grand mage

Arch mage

High mage

Level ten mage

Level nine mage

Level eight mage

It continued on from there to level one. After the collapse of the veil and other races came, a new class was added, magic emperors.

These were magicians who harnessed inheritances left behind by gods or mythical beings and turned themselves into immortals.

Dex had been killed on the day he became a human emperor, the lord of all humans, magical and non magical. His death had come before he could absorb the power completely to become immortal.

He was the first human being to accomplish this, or so he thought at the time. Now, he was uncertain about everything.

For him to be killed, someone had to be waiting in the background to take his place, another magic emperor or maybe two more. Nothing was certain anymore.

Mages were secretive about their levels, only he had been out, loud and proud about his achievement, that was his undoing, perhaps.

"Sir, it's not that expensive, actually the house itself is quite large, it sits on ten acres of land, it may be in need of some tuning because it has not had occupants for many years now..." Nervously, the man explained to Dex.

Dex who had been thinking about other things did not hear most of what the man said. "Bring an official and a title deed to the tea house, I will pay the full amount up front.

After I purchase it, I will need it to be restored to it's former glory. You will find me workers to do that job immediately."

"I know someone." Jebi shouted eagerly.

"Of course you do." Dex laughed softly and ruffled Jebi's hair.

"My family needs to stay somewhere while the house is being renovated, what do you recommend?" he asked the man.

"Quiqiu inn." Jebi replied loudly.

"Follow me." Dex said to both of them.

He had paid a fee for the roc to be housed here temporarily, it had eaten and it was currently sleeping so he let it be.

He went to the carriage and knocked on the window.

His father lowered it slowly, peeping outside cautiously.

Dex pushed the entire window, looked inside and saw his sister sleeping, again.

"Father, I have found a house but it needs renovation. We will need to stay in an inn for a while until that is done. I am going to give you some money, you guys can check in while I sign the property deed."

He got the space pouch and placed fifty gold coins inside.

"Be careful, just because this is a city does not mean there is a lacking of people with light fingers." he reminded his father.

His mother grabbed the pouch before his father could. And, then, to their great surprise, he stuffed the pouch in her bosom.

"Who can dare to steal something from there?" she asked.

That's my mother, she never ceases to amaze me, Dex thought. "This is Jebi, he will take you to Quiqiu inn and I will find you there later. I know the place, please book me a different room."

He was way too old to be sharing a room with his parents.

"Oh, mother give Jebi a coin so that he can purchase some spiritual token for communication. Either those or a two way mirror whose seals can be used by non magicians. It will make it easy to communicate even if we are apart."

"I know the best shop nearby which sells all sorts of communication tokens and artifacts. If you want I can bring one of the shop girls directly to the inn." Jebi volunteered eagerly.

Is there a corner in this place which you do not know? Dex wanted to ask the boy.

"Alright, take them." he said instead.

After his family left, Dex turned his eyes to Jebi's father. "What's your name?" he asked him.

"Fora." he answered.

Dex's demeanor suddenly changed and he looked at Fora with a fierce gaze.

"I may not have shared this with you Fora but I am a mage, if you try to double cross me I will not be kind. I will reward you handsomely for all your help at the end of the job if you are truthful."

Just like that Fora's demeanor changed as well and he became respectful to Dex.

"I will do my best for you patron." he said politely.

He rushed off with one gold coin from Dex, to invite the official over.

Dex meanwhile entered the tea house, found an isolated booth and sat down, waiting patiently while sipping some spiritual tea.

"This is inferior to the lotus tea I used to drink as an arch mage." he said to himself.

"Host, for ten points you can get lotus leaves from the system mall."

His system which had been quiet for most of the night was very excited to share.

"You are like another Jebi, volunteering information eagerly." he answered. "I want my points for another spell and skill, show me the panel."

Teleportation alone would not give him the ability to wipe out the Adama guild in Ether, he needed another skill, something strong enough to overpower their strongest mage. He hoped that it would not be level ten and beyond or else he might be fucked.
