A Warning

Amiana pulled her unconscious brother into her lap while Scarrden made his advance for her. "Don't! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to," she whimpered with her twin held close. The werewolf man stopped approaching and watched his daughter scoot away from him. Dumbfounded, the children's father looked to his shocked wife. Xuario also took a glance and held both his little girl and his niece away from the heartbreaking sight. Xiana fought and begged into her father's embrace to let her see what was happening, but with every plea the vampire made, Xuario pressed her head father into his chest. Juliet also clung to the vampire man while her mother looked towards her then her siblings. The watering eyes reminded Vivian that she had to snap herself into shape and be a good mother. On hands and knees, Vivian began to crawl towards her children.

With two people closing in, Amiana now had her back against the corner of the room. "I'm so sorry. I really didn't mean for this to happen," the gray-haired girl cried. Vivian shakily took a breath and spoke to her daughter gently. "What didn't you intend to happen, pup?" she asked. Amiana began to shake her head frantically and looked down to Arlot, "I was looking for the man with golden hair- and- and..." Vivian's eyes widened and Lucifer chimed in. "Who is this man?" the man questioned to the raven-haired woman. "He has hair like a lion," answered his daughter. "I saw him when I was abducted," mumbled Vivian as her father and brother stared at her in anticipation. "Did he do something to you?" growled Xuario before taking a step towards Scarrden. The vampire covered Juliet's humanized ears. "If I find out that anything happened to my sister, fleabag, then you'll be sorry," he snarled.

Lucifer turned slowly and put his hand on his son's shoulder, "Everyone needs to calm down. Amiana, darling, why were you looking for the lion man?" All the eyes turned back to the werewolf twins. The young girl was hunched over as if she were desperate for breath while gasping. Scarrden made a beeline for his child when she immediately stopped and stared at him with soulless eyes. "I did hear Lucifer, correct? I have a message for him," spoke the girl's voice in monotone. "I am the King of Darkness. Who might you be?" questioned the dark-haired man in a defensive stance. The girl's body made no reaction to his question and repeated the same comment. "I have a message for you," she said. Lucifer squinted his eyes, "Will your possession end once you finish delivering?" The werewolf girl's head nodded slowly.

Xuario began to back away with the two children in his arms. In the atmosphere of the room, anyone was susceptible to possession; nevertheless, women, children, and those in weak spirit were still the main target for host-seeking creatures. The vampire nodded to the others in the room and quickly made and exit for the stairs. The creature in Amiana's body took notice of their leave with a small wave before speaking to Lucifer. "The state of this world is in disarray. Perhaps you may have noticed?" the girl asked with no response. "No being is safe. Heaven and Hell, the blessed along with the cursed, and also the untouched are at the mercy of the Supreme Deity. The Holy Council and their lesser divinities are not free from this onslaught. All will be punished by their Governor. A time is coming where He will destroy anyone against His will and all who test His authority," Amiana continued in her possession.

Lucifer stared for a long moment while he took the message into account. "What exactly does that mean? Who is the sender?" he finally asked. The werewolf girl smirked and began to speak again, "The star burned brightest; the sea became like blood. Now in anger- like a flood- there will be... only one... I suggest you be careful, Morning Star." At this sentence, Amiana took a large breath and looked around. Lucifer brought his hands over his face and through his hair. "A kitsune! Deplorable tricksters with nothing better to do with their lives!" the King of Darkness gritted out before turning to the real Amiana.

Scarrden had already scooped his little girl into his arms as she cried. Upon waking from her possession, Amiana was hit with the re-realization that her brother wasn't with her. "You're okay. Do you know where you are? We're in Hell's Fortress," Vivian coddled. Lucifer watched as the family sat together and checked on their twins. "Is there anything you want to say, darling?" asked the tall man. Amiana looked up from her family towards her grandfather. "Ares and Athena... Before everything went hazy, I was on my way to see them. I heard of a war that was coming...," the werewolf girl answered tiredly. No one in the room pressed her further. Scarrden simply ruffled her hair and carried his son off to his room while Amiana followed quietly. The stairs were a lot to climb after being unconscious for so long, but she kept her determination to stay beside Arlot.

Lucifer turned to his daughter who was watching servants clean the bloody floor with wet eyes. The father came behind her and wrapped the woman in his warm embrace. Vivian clung onto him and sobbed deeply into his chest. "What do I do? I don't know what to do!" she whined into her father's arms. Lucifer kissed her forehead and rubbed her back before answering. "You stay strong. We'll get an answer from the fairies soon enough, although I've heard enough riddles for today," the dark-haired man sighed. Vivian sniffled and hugged her father in silence. "You should go check on Juliet and then get some rest. I'm sure she is as frightened as your brother is worried. I'll take care of everything else," Lucifer added. The werewolf woman nodded and turned to the stairs.
