...If It Doesn't End Well?

Amiana had made it to her room unnoticed by only a hair. As soon as the girl sat on her bed, she heard her father knock on the door. "Who is it?" she called out. Scarrden twisted the handle and walked inside, "It's just me." Amiana looked towards her father while he came to sit next to her. "Darling, how are you feeling? You went out today, so I assume you are doing better. Next time, will you please leave a note?" the large man smiled. Amiana just stared up at him and frowned; he knew where she had been. Scarrden kept talking, "I hear that you pushed your mother away when she asked where you were. Would you prefer to talk with me about where you went?" Amiana bit her lip. "But you already know. Why tell you when you know?" she asked. Her father sighed and patted her head, "I can smell the juniper flowers, yes, but that doesn't tell me why you were in Argatha." The young werewolf felt her heart beating fast. "I... went to see Papilus... because he might know what was wrong with Arlot," she spoke. Technically, she wasn't lying.

Scarrden nodded his head in understanding before laying his back on the bed. "What did he say?" he asked. Amiana had to choose her words wisely... and fast, "Pappy... er... Papilus, he told me that he couldn't make a good assessment and that I should return home to mother. He said that he could get a better idea once he saw him tomorrow," the werewolf girl answered. Scarrden shifted uncomfortably where he laid. "I guess he told you about the alliance then. To be honest, I'm not too thrilled about siding with the wizards- just like I am with you sneaking off to see them. I'd do anything for you and your brother though," he sighed. Amiana laid her head onto her father's chest and thanked him in a hushed voice. Gently rubbing his daughter's arm, Scarrden said his final words before leaving the room. "My beautiful," he began, "Rest assured, we are going to Ivory Tower tomorrow with your brother so the High Wizard can help him; also know that you can trust me to keep your visit a secret."

Amiana hadn't been the only one to have a visit with someone. Lucifer had been gone since the Fairies' court session, and there wasn't a soul in the fortress that knew where he was. If the members of the family had known, there still wouldn't have been anything for them to do, for the King of Darkness was having a meeting with a figure most could only dream of: the Supreme Deity. The Creator of all gods and even Lucifer's most wanted possession stood before him in the secluded wilderness. The dark man couldn't believe that the weak-looking, human man was the being that had taken his life away from him. "If you are the Supreme Deity, why don't you make us a feast. I have come a long way to meet you again," Lucifer greeted, but no laugh followed the comment. The Supreme Deity made a long face, "Do not doubt me. My words are what all things live on. You are no guest of mine, so if you have nothing for me, I suggest you take your leave." The words were an understood warning, but still, the King of Darkness didn't back down.

The duo of adversaries took their discussion to the top of the city chosen by the Holy God. "You don't look the same as you did before. Prove you aren't a half-wit and throw yourself from this building. Only the Most High can command the angels at his will," Lucifer antagonized, but the man beside him only gave a plain re-wording of his former sentence. At this remark, the devious man became annoyed and took the Creator to view the world. "I will give you everything in Hell and all the information you will from me if you give me the power of your gods," he smiled. The Supreme Deity became enraged and shooed Lucifer away from him. "Haven't you received my messenger? You are not worthy of any power. I will soon destroy you, and if you do not stop with your treachery, then I will curse more than just your body and daughter!" the now not so weak man said. Lucifer's face darkened in anger while his fists balled up for a punch, but he was knocked away by a creature he hadn't seen in centuries. Majestically, a group of angels came about the Supreme Deity and carried him away.

Lucifer returned to Hell in a fit of rage so hefty that the air about the fortress filled with smoke and the roars of flames drowned out the screams of sinners. Vivian ran to her father with a cloth over her mouth. "Father, please contain your emotions. The pups and I can't breathe in these conditions," the werewolf woman coughed. The tall man looked down to his daughter with darkness in his eyes. "Deal with it for now. I'll calm myself soon enough- alone," he replied before stomping down to the basement. Vivian felt her heart sink and her headache as she tried to think of what could've upset her father. "Mommy," came a small voice that brought her back to her senses. "It hurts to breathe," coughed Juliet. The werewolf mother gently picked her daughter up. "The smoke will be gone soon. We can wait in the main room until it is gone," she whispered.

When the air had thickened, Amiana found herself gasping. Quickly, she ran to her brother and carried him to an inner bedroom. Arlot slept deadly despite the choking black clouds in the sky. Amiana silently sat with him in the safe airs of the bedroom until she felt the oxygen become lighter. By the time the little werewolf could take whole breaths came along, Amiana had already transformed into a wolf's mold; her long muzzle rested on her twin's stomach while she breathed gently. "All is well if it ends well, Arlot. All I need is for you to wake up, so I will fight these evil beings until you have the strength to do it again. If you don't stop your resting soon, the I'm afraid I'll have to see you on the other side," the little wolf nuzzled. "You and I are in this together- forever and always."
