Still dodging their attacks, she started muttering different spices and condiments and each time she mentioned one, the wolves felt their meridians blocking off and their expression turned wicked.
Though they could not speak human language, they pretty much convey their anger and started attacking maliciously making Rosabeth suffer quite a number of injuries but she ignored them and did not stop her word movements.
Crista on the other hand did not run too far and with her heart beating inside her chest, most of her concentration was on not destroying her clothes.
Could she release a burst of energy without destroying them though? Seeing the wolf running towards her she closed her eyes and stretched forth her hand...the worst that would happen was that she would burst into light particles and reconstruct after some time but the disadvantage was that this place would never remain the same again.
Right now, her only thoughts were on finishing this quickly and returning to the academy.
Since she had her eyes closed she was unable to see what was happening and couldn't see that the wood was trapped in white light for a longer period before bursting into particles.
When she stopped hearing any movement she opened her eyes and by then she had already absorbed its remains.
The new quest required Pel to deal most of the damage and whether in the consumption of mana or QI he had unlimited supply as long as his body could handle the excess usage.
Avoiding the strongest as much as possible, he took down the other wolves one by one until it was remaining just one.
Pel never thought that this wolf could increase in size and its speed was not reduced one bit but at least increased body mass meant the number of attacks missed would be reduced to a minimum...hopefully.
Unfortunately, the sky was growing dark, leading to the birth of a full moon. The wolf stopped playing around and started sending out its most powerful spiritual attack which it had refrained from doing before because it did not want to harm the others but now they were all gone it went all out against Pel.
"How come it's stronger, isn't it supposed to like to wear off or something?!" Pel exclaimed in surprise.

"No one cares" Pel couldn't describe what he was feeling against Ito but anger was a percentage of it.

Pel let out a sarcastic laugh. "And you're telling me this now?!"

Death was upon him, he couldn't afford to make a slip-up and so he decided to tight the wolf on top or under it. Fighting under is safe until he can't keep up with the wolf's movement anymore, that way he was as good as dead.
Fighting on top though, as long as he could stabilize himself, all was well.
With his increased stats, he just needed to project himself and he would land.
A good plan pieced together was put into action but Pel still underestimated just how strong the wolf was and while still in mid-air he was met with its powerful claws.
He couldn't change direction in midair and could not let himself get hit either.

That way he was able to deflect most of the damage but that did not mean he came out without any injuries his shield took a quarter of it and by some sort of miracle, the wolf was injured as well.
"So rock punch is effective in dealing with this guy...does it deal internal damage?"
Pel clenched his fists and a newfound craziness appeared in his eyes. A Kerki in a melee fight...he was practically a living legend and since he would tell his story himself, he couldn't make himself look too bad in case evidence was required.
Pel unleash a flurry of Rock Punches on the wolf and since he had an unlimited supply he went into a frenzy, not leaving the wolf any time to get back on its feet.
He did not stop he made sure every part of it was dead and every part of him was covered in blood. Then he heard a notification that the quest had been completed, after opening the system panel, a series of notifications came in and way more than the last.

The congratulations were a lot but after scrolling downward he started seeing other notifications.

"Well this was absolutely worth it, I'll do it all over again if I am given a choice" Pel nodded in satisfaction. To had already enabled emergency healing so in no time he would be fine.
He lay on the ground and then decided to check his stats.

Ito just smiled without saying anything while Pel reminisce on his fight with the huge wolf. He had never been so alive feeling his fist unleashing damage instead of his weapon. "I'm getting strong...wait for me Krent, I'll definitely come and save you guys"
