The night was the perfect cover. Tessa and the rest of the group equipped their hover rings and took to the sky.

It was easier to hide from gang members since they could easily spot them from up while they remained unseen.

The group flew for almost 20 minutes since they decided to choose an apartment from the other side of town.

"Who knew flying could be so exhausting?" Trevor huffed as they finally unequipped the rings.

"Lights are working but we should probably keep them off" Flora said

"Water's running" Adam said after checking the bathroom.

"Okay we sleep here for tonight" Tessa smiled.

Adam and Trevor quickly went to find a room while Flora dragged Pel along with her to the kitchen.

"Please explain what you mean by this?" Pel asked after they reached the kitchen.

"You're the one with all the food so I need you here" Flora explained without even looking at him.

She checked to see if the tap was running even though Adam had earlier said so. After confirming she opened one of the cupboards and it was filled with cooking utensils, then she started taking out what she needed.

Pel watched her every action with intrigue. On planet Nodard he had never seen anyone cook before so he was wondering if what she was doing could actually create food.

What the Kerkis are was something called a Scrimpa. It is created only by food industries adept in food science.

A Scrimpa contained every nutrient essential to the Kerki so all Planet Nodard the only food eaten is a Scrimpa.

Flora then filled a pan with water and switched on the cooker. "Give me two spaghetti packs..."

"Ito...you heard her" Pel said.

[Affirmative]

Pel place his hand on the cooking slab and two spaghetti packs appeared. He then watched how Flora tore them open and placed them inside the boiling water.

"I need salt and... let's say one of each species you have and also half a kilo of beef" Flora commanded as if Pel was her sous chef but the latter didn't really mind since he was sort of enjoying it.

Tessa went with the boys to check the rooms and there were only three in total which meant one of the boys will be staying alone.

If they had to choose it would surely be Pel, there was no serious decision-making attached.

They made sure all the rooms were okay they came back downstairs and smelled the wonderful aroma of Flora's cooking.

Some moments later, Flora and Pel came bringing the dishes, Pel had a smile on his face as if he had just discovered something amazing.

"I never knew food could smell at all and this smell is pleasing to my nose" Pel said after he can't.

"Not too shabby for a planet now huh?" Trevor asked while stuffing his face with spaghetti.

"Oh it's not enough to describe your entire planet, this is just Flora's doing" Pel said.

"Well thank you for the compliment even though it came out wrong" Flora sighed.

Pel nodded and took up his fork. He studied how the others were eating and did the same.

When the flavors of the different spices put together entered Pel's mouth he was shocked. "How can it taste so good even the best Scrimpa doesn't compare to this and they are made by the bests food scientists"

"I'm sorry but what?" Adam asked with a confused expression.

"This food is nothing as I've never had before" Pel simplified.

"Of course, you're an alien" Trevor stated as a matter of factly.

"That's not what I mean, the creative process is what fascinates me and it's hot, Scrimpas are cold" Pel said.

"Okay let's just eat please" Tessa said.

Meanwhile, Venom was currently running the errand given by his older brother. After searching for a while they found the ruined church.

"There was someone here, not too long ago" one of his men said.

"So bro might have been right, there are people we still haven't taken in" Venom smirked. "Two of you stay here and if someone does arrive, send me a signal"

Venom then left with the remaining two, off to search more places.

Early the next morning, Tessa and the others got up and started making their way to their hideout.

Why it was important for them to leave before dawn was because they were paranoid. There have been fewer and fewer people since one week ago which meant the gangs were sparing no one.

They only felt safe in their secret hideout and they could always hide in the underground of the ruined church.

After they arrived they unequipped their hover rings and walked in only to be can't in a white fog.

"Took you long enough, signal the boss" a voice said but they couldn't determine the direction it was coming from and their visibility had been reduced to Zero.

"Tessa what do we do now..." Adam whispered even though he couldn't see her.

"Just stay where you are and Trevor see if you can get rid of the fog" Tessa said.

Even though Trevor was scared out of his mind he still nodded and tried to blow the fog away. It worked but the fog would just appear again.

"It's not working" Trevor said and Tessa frowned.

She couldn't shoot out lightning bolts since she didn't know the position of the enemy. 'What do I do, we can't get caught'

Before she think of something she heard a voice that made her blood turn cold.

"Take off the fog I want to see who dared to enter our food storage" Venom said.

The next moment the group regained their visibility but met with Venom's deadly gaze they kind of wished the fog was still there.

Venom was surprised to see it was just a bunch of teenagers but was shocked when his eyes fell on Tessa. "Tess you're alive?"

Not just him, the others were shocked as well while Pel just enjoy the drama as it unfolds. He rarely came in contact with this kind of drama since he was either in his lab or going around doing business.

Time is really an important factor to the Kerkis so wasting it on dramas was for the foolish.
