3 Chapter 3: Survival in a new body!!

Miku's body tensed slightly, and she slightly stretched her limbs and felt like they were slimy and wet. As she does, it makes her unconsciously let out a sigh, but it comes out as a screech which not only surprises her but also makes something interesting happen, as now Miku's vision has been outlined for a short time.

Her vision having been outlined had helped her get her bearings slightly as she could now tell that she was in what looked like a cave. Miku looks around thinking, ' Ok, calm down. First things first, what the hell made that creepy screeching noise? Then we can figure out what has happened as my whole being is just screaming danger.'

As Miku looks around, she notices a vast puddle of liquid under her, and she then moves to step out of it, making more noise as the outline that started to vanish comes back. She then saw a body the size of a child with an ugly face that was slowly going from yellow to blue in her eyes and had a surprised and pained look on its face.

Wanting to hurl mentally at the horrifying and disgusting scene in front of her, Miku found that, surprisingly, her body had shown no reaction of disgust but instead found that she was getting hungry just looking at it. Just then, her instincts kicked in, and before she could stop herself, she was already digging in.

In her head, as her body moved on its own, she could hear *ding Biomass accrued* Over and over again, and after finishing eating, lying in front of her was nothing but a skeleton that was like nothing she had ever seen. However, it was small like a child's; and oddly built differently than humans as it seemed to be constructed with agility in mind.

The bones in the legs, although small, were thick. The joints look designed to make sudden impacts such as sudden stops and pivots but what scared Miku the most about this situation wasn't the weird skeleton, ' DID I JUST EAT A CORPSE' she screamed internally as she just stared at what used to be a body.

Just then, she turned her head as she heard a noise and hissed out in her mind as well as out loud at the situation in front of her bringing back the outline that had disappeared. Right in front of her were what looked like two more of the small child-like creatures, and they just stared back at her for a few seconds before screeching.

Miku's whole body screams danger as she hears the screech, and as they start to run after her holding what looks like crude objects of sorts, her body is already moving on its own as her mind catches up 'ok ok, ok, what the shit are those things they look like mmmm what did Derek call them, oh right goblins right, but that can't be possible they aren't real

Miku smiled slightly even though the situation wasn't the best, thinking of her crazy delivery manager Derek. He would always take about his hobby with her when he found her working too hard to distract her, much to her annoyance but surprisingly, it had come in handy as she tried to remember anything useful.

Meanwhile, her body, piloted mainly through instinct, rushes through what are essentially long winding tunnels as the two goblins screech and chase her ' ok, so I'm getting chased by two goblins which should be impossible; in a body that clearly isn't human.'

As she thought that, she felt like her head was definitely more oversized, and Miku could feel something long sway behind her as she ran. Miku roars out as she is now consciously running, " WHAT IS GOING ON!!!!!" but all that comes out is a horrifying Screech that makes the two goblins halt their steps just for a moment before they resume chasing.

Luckily for Miku, that was all she needed as that screech had once again outlined everything allowing her to find a small crevasse near the ceiling that leads out to somewhere. Not hesitating, she quickly scales the walls and enters it thinking to herself, 'holy shit, that was close. I don't wanna know what would have happened if they would have caught me.'

As she hears screeching below her, she thinks back to her body and how agile and fast it was, as well as the weird things that she had been noticing ' ok, let's think this through

I'm definitely not human anymore, which is terrifying. I wish I had a reflective surface, but I also don't want to know' She looks at her body as the outline is fading.

' first weird thing is my vision and this outline, so I don't think my vision should be like this, but then again, I have no idea what I even am anymore, and the second is the outline that only shows up when sound is made, so I'm thinking that maybe echolocation or something' she thought about it a bit and was confident in her second thought line

'putting away whether or not my vision is supposed to be like this next is my voice. I clearly cannot speak properly' Miku then screeches softly to confirm her thought which once again outlines her surroundings and self ' thought so. As for my body, yup, I'm no longer human; that's for sure I have claws and a long-ass tail with a pointed tip. Maybe I'm sort of scorpion monster?'

She thought though she couldn't confirm as Miku had yet seen herself truly then it donned on her 'shit I'll never be able to see myself properly with these eyes' at that moment something like an epiphany hit her ' wait for a second didn't I hear something as I ate that thing' Thinking back too when her body moved on her own she internally gagged a little.

Then she remembered, 'oh right, that Biomass thing, what was that all about' after that, an instinct told her that it was a good thing whatever it was and that she could use it somehow, hinting at its importance 'ok well I need it apparently but how in the world would I use it like could I fix my eyes with it and how much did I get.' Miku pondered this as the screeching down below disappeared, and everything turned quiet.
