31. Training with Charms & Conversation

After lunch, we all went for a walk around the city.

We went on an excursion to another museum. This time, without any witchcraft, a simple museum of paleontology.

We saw a few of the main attractions of New Orleans and went to a restaurant. They ate crayfish there, accompanied by beautiful jazz. All in all, we had a good time.

A few hours later we returned to the RV, next to which, I asked the girls a question:

- So what did you decide about the Charms?

- First, we need to use them a little in order to better understand which ones are more suitable for us. - Gwen said.

- I think so too. - Ashley said.

- Okay, then keep the Charms yourself. - I said and will give them four charms.

- Where's the fifth? - Ashley asked.

- There is no Charm of Luck, right? - Gwen asked.

- Why isn't the Charm of Telekinesis for me? - Gwen asked curiously.

- He will certainly be useful to you, but not for long. In the future, you will be able to use spells related to telekinesis. Until then, you can use magic constructs. - I said.

- It is logical. So, the Charm of Pyrokinesis goes to me? - Gwen asked again with a nod.

- Yes. In the Book of Archamada, there are quite a few spells for this Charm. Again, in your hands it will be more useful. - I confirmed.

- Okay. Then we'll go. - said Gwen and walked away from our parking lot. Ashley followed her.

Moving away from the RV, we stopped in a clearing.

- Come on then, as Lex said, these are for you, and these are for me. And we will train. - said Gwen and gave me two Charms, Telekinesis and Electrokinesis, and left herself the Charms of Pyrokinesis and Resurrection.

Moving a little to the side, I hooked the amulets to the belt. When they were strapped on, I felt a connection with them and instinctively figured out how to manage them.

Raising my hand, I fired lightning at the nearest stone. The attack simply shattered the stone.

Lex was right, it's very similar to how I used to manage electricity. But with the help of an Charm, everything is much easier, and feel more freedom.

There was no pressure like before. And it feels like the energy will never run out.

It's just a wonderful feeling. This Charm really suits me very well.

Next, I decided to check my other Charm. Raising my hand again, I wished to pick up the remains of the stone. They took off under my control. Driving them, I attacked the tree. From being hit by stones, the tree broke. Uh, that was strong.

And finally, the most important thing. Flight. Wishing to take off, I took off and began to fly across the sky.

It was very funny. I never thought it was so cool. After landing on the ground, I began to ponder the results.

The Charms of Telekinesis works more at will. You just need to wish and everything will be fulfilled.

But with the Charms of Electrokinesis, everything is different. It feels like I'm using my old abilities, but all the limitations have been lifted from them. Now all I need is fantasy and I can create anything from Lightning.

These Charms are truly incredible, they give so much power without having to learn to control it. Everything has already been given.

I'm really lucky to have these charms. I am very glad that I went with them after all. I have no idea what would have happened if I had not met them. Even thinking about it is scary.

For about an hour, I practiced in the management of charms, after which I took off and flew to Gwen.

I found her two hundred meters from the place where we parted.

Just when I landed near her, Gwen created balls of fire, making them fly around her. There were already more than ten of them.

Seeing me, she scattered the balls and asked me:

- Well? How are the Charms?

- Wonderful. Lex was right, as always. These Charms are perfect for me. Especially Electrokinesis. It feels like my old abilities have been restored to me. I had no idea how much I missed managing electricity. And flying is just wonderful. What about you? - I asked, after having told everything.

- The same. I really like to control fire. Now, I feel like a real sorceress. This is where such opportunities open up. Most importantly, the Charm of Pyrokinesis gives full immunity to fire, so it's not dangerous for me to use the charm to the maximum. Look. - said Gwen and let go of the streams of fire from her legs and arms.

Because of this, she took off and began flying through the air. After a couple of minutes, she landed on the ground, though not very well. Incorrectly placing her foot, she almost fell face down on the ground, but I supported her in time with telekinesis and she was able to stand up normally.

- Thank you. - Gwen thanked me.

- My pleasure. What about another Charm? - I said with a wave of my hand.

- It's more difficult with him. I know how to heal and activate it when I need it. But I need to read the Book of Archamada to better understand the amulet itself. I seem to be missing something. I hope I can find the answer in the book. - Gwen said thoughtfully.

- Clear. So are you done? Can we go? - I asked.

- Yes. Let's go back already. - Gwen said with a smile and we went towards the RV.

- Listen, Gwen, can I ask you? - Having decided to start this conversation, I asked.

- Oh sure. What do you want to ask? - Looking at me, asked Gwen.

- Are you dating Lex? - I asked bluntly.

Gwen, because of my question, stumbled and almost fell forward.

- I saw you kissing yesterday. - I said.

Hearing me, Gwen sighed doomily, covered her face with her hands and said:

- Okay. I will then read the Book of Archamada for the time being. I need to know more about the Amulet of Resurrection. - said Gwen, taking the book mentioned.

And I decided to practice my cover. Therefore, getting off the bus, I touched the metal and began to absorb it.

An hour later, I was exhausted. Now I can hold a full cover for 2 minutes, but without moving. If I move, the cover immediately falls off.
