25 24. Rojo & Robot Attack

The next morning, we got up and had breakfast, after which we drove to the gas station to refuel and wash our mobile home.
While grandfather was looking after his favorite bus, I went with Gwen and Ashley to buy sweets on the road.
Ashley was a little uncomfortable with the fact that we were spending money on her, but I reassured her by saying that I have enough money due to the inheritance of my parents. Realizing that she shouldn't be shy, Ashley bought a bunch of sweets. Sometimes I forget that she is a simple girl.
When we left the store, we saw grandfather who was washing a house on wheels. Just at that moment, a laser weapon was fired at the collector's car that stood across the road.
The perpetrators were three women wearing biker jackets with helmets on their heads. It was Rojo's gang. They were using clearly extraterrestrial technology. Where such a petty rag-tag like them got such advanced weapons is unclear.
Wasted no time, I raised my hand and, using telekinesis, pulled the weapon out of their hands. Gwen also quickly reacted, and creating two discs threw them at Rogo's henchmen, from which they flew a couple of meters, but did not pass out.
I decided to check my new alien. Therefore, making sure that no one sees, I turned into the Sand Man.
You know, this was the most unpleasant transformation into an alien, for all the time that I have the Omnitrix.
It felt like my whole body was shattered into small pieces, and then I gathered into a loose and unstable substance. I did not like it.
But after the transformation, when I became the Sand Man, I felt so free and light.
It felt like I was every grain of sand, but at the same time I was all the sand. I can't explain it better, but it was fun.
Transformed, I instinctively controlled the sand and enveloped all three of the bandits, completely covering them with sand. After a minute, I returned all the sand back.
The criminals fell out of the sand. They were unconscious. It was surprisingly easy.
I already wanted to turn back, but from the bus there was a signal from the tracking device, which I changed, and now it warns of the arrival of the Vilgax robots.
All the same, you cannot run far from the canon.
I had about a minute more, so while controlling the sand, I grabbed Rojo and her minions and carried them away from the future battlefield.
Finally, I wrapped them in sand up to their throats and tamped the sand itself so as not to kill them, but they will not get out of there without help. I don't want to get hands dirty on them, but I don't want to create an enemy for myself. So let them lie there.
Transforming into myself, I ran into the bus and picked up the tracking device. Judging by the sensors, there will be about forty robots.
'What the hell? Why are there so many? In the original, there were only two. The fact that they found us can still be understood, after all, it was here that they attacked Ben. These are consequences of the canon.
But forty? Okay, breathe calmly. We can handle it, it won't be that difficult, but we need to prepare. ' - I thought to myself.
Seeing my actions, the grandfather and the girls were clearly embarrassed and did not understand what I was doing. I got off the bus and said:
- Vilgax's robots are flying. There will be about forty of them. Grandpa get your weapon, just in case. Ashley, I'm giving you permission to draw in the electricity. Your cover is still weak and you do not know how to fight hand-to-hand. But that's just this time.
Grandpa ran for the weapon. Ashley walked over to the drinks machine and soaked up the electricity. Gwen began to chase Mana around the body. I put on my suit.
Just at that moment, Vilgax drones began to appear from the sky.

30 minutes before. Space. Vilgax's ship.
- Sir, it looks like the Omnitrix bearer found a loophole and was able to disable tracking. But our scientists working on this problem were able to pick up a short-term signal and find the location of the carrier, but the signal immediately disappeared and we can no longer find it. - reported the soldier Vilgax.
- Send 40 drones there at once. The one who found the watch looks like an unusual person and has already been able to understand how the Omnitrix works. So it's better to play it safe. The drones must kill the host and bring the Omnitrix here. - ordered Vilgax, who was in a closed treatment chamber. He had very little time left until he was completely healed.
- As you order. - saluting, the soldier said and began sending stones to Earth.

I immediately turned into a Heatblast and threw a fireball at the first drone, from which it exploded.
The next drone was shot down by Gwen with her magic disc. Ashley did not defend her and fired several electrical attacks in the third.
When I shot down the fifth and sixth, Grandpa joined the attack with his gun.
So, after 5 minutes, Ashley and Grandpa ran out of energy, and Gwen was exhausted. I finished off the last four robots.
After destroying the last robots, I turned into myself and decided to check all the drones. You never know.
Passing by broken robots, I
noticed several more functioning and, using telekinesis, crushed them.
Already returning to the bus, I noticed that one of the drones pulled out a tentacle and was about to attack Rogo with it. At the last moment, I managed to catch the tentacle with telekinesis and finished off the robot.
Rojo has such a fate. Turn into a cybernetic creature.
I have already heard the sirens of the police, which is, as always, 'on time'. Therefore, without wasting time, using telekinesis, I pulled all the remnants of the robots and squeezed them into a ball. Then he became a Heatblast and melted all the rubbish.
Becoming myself, I went to the RV. Tired grandfather and girls sat next to him.
Taking off my suit, I said:
- Let's get on the bus and get out of here. Vilgax could send reinforcements, it is better to leave the city and fight there.
The girls and grandfather nodded in agreement with my decision. We quickly got on the bus and drove out of town.
Thirty minutes after we left the city, the tracking device beep again. Taking it in hand, I saw that it would be four large bots.
- This time only four. You go on, I can handle it myself. - I said, getting to my feet.
- Are you sure? You can handle it? Can we still help? - Grandpa asked with concern.
- Everything will be fine. Do not worry. - I said and turned into a Ghostfreak, after which I flew through the ceiling of the bus and went to the landing site of the robots.

Vilgax's ship.
- Sir, all drones are destroyed. - reported the soldier.
- Send more. Four big ones this time. And plug in the broadcast, I want to see everything in person. - Vilgax ordered angrily.
The soldier nodded and dispatched another batch of robots.

(Lex POV)
I arrived just as the robots arrived and began to release their form.
I immediately transformed into Jetray and fired a laser from the eyes and tail into the head of one of the robots.
From my attack, the robot's head was simply blown off and it blew up, thereby hitting the closest ally with an explosion and stunning him.
The other two bots saw me and fired a laser from their hands.
Seeing the attack, I, right in the air, turned into Feedback and absorbed the shots with the help of my antennae.
After landing on the ground, I fired from my fingers at one of the robots. This attack took off half of his body and he exploded too.
The third robot, which did not suffer in any way, attacked me again, but I managed to turn into Diamondhead and take the attack on myself, after which I redirected the laser at its owner. The robot did not survive this.
The last robot finally came to its senses, but I acted faster and turned into Four Arms with a clap of hands against each other created a shock wave that knocked the robot over.
Jumping onto the robot, I crumpled its core, then hit it on the head with all four hands. This turned out to be enough.
After getting off the robot, I canceled the transformation. After examining the battlefield, I was convinced of the destruction of the robots and, transforming into XLR8, rushed to the bus.

On the captain's bridge of Vilgax's ship, one could see an ordinary soldier and a closed capsule.
On the main monitor, there was a video of Lex destroying robots.
In the last moment, Lex can be seen, dressed in his suit, transforms into a Kineselerant and escapes from the scene.
- Sir, send more robots? - soldier asked.
- No, it's pointless. He's too good. In a few days I will completely come to my senses and take care of it myself. - said Vilgax and looked at the monitor, which froze a frame with Lex in a suit.

(Lex POV)
Back on the bus, I calmed everyone down and told them about the fight. They, making sure that I was not hurt, heaved a sigh of relief. Still, it's nice to be worried about you.
We spent the next few hours on the road. Everyone was tense, waiting for another attack. But nothing happened.
When we got to the campsite, we had lunch and were finally able to breathe easy.
