170 169. Big gun - the Solution to All Problems

(3rd POV)

- Something they have not seen for a long time. Hope nothing bad happened… - Tetrax said with concern, watching the sky, which suddenly became too calm.

- Don't worry, no sounds of battle or other destruction can be heard anymore, so the girl did her job and was able to calm the guy down. - said Azmuth calmly, sitting on the shoulder of Petrosapien.

- Then shouldn't they be back already? It's been almost an hour since their last appearance. And the drones of Vilgax, something that has not appeared for a long time. - the alien asked, coming out of the hiding place where they were hiding so as not to fall under the arm of the raging Lex.

- I'm sure they're busy with more pleasant things right now, so they're not up to us. - Azmuth said with a smirk, who, thanks to his good hearing, was able to catch a few passionate moans coming from far away, thanks to which he could guess how Gwen calmed Lex.

- And then what to do? - Tetrax asked, completely unaware of how things had come to such chaos while he simply stood guard.

- Will wait. And prepare for the arrival of Vilgax. I know him well and I am sure that this was only the first wave of the attack, which was supposed to wear us down and delay us. Reinforcements will arrive soon. - Azmuth said gloomily, who already regretted a hundred times that he had started this whole game and foolishly indicated his location to Vilgax himself.

- And what's the plan? - Tetrax asked eagerly. Something, but he is always ready to fight Vilgax.

- We don't have to fight, yet the situation is not quite suitable for this and you can just leave the planet. You arrived on your ship, didn't you? Where is he now? - Azmuth asked, already beginning to think of an escape plan.

- We had to leave him to get through the blockade around the planet, and now Lex has him, in his magic ring. - Tetrax said shaking his head.

- So until they return, we won't be able to use it, but at least we still have a chance for an emergency withdrawal. We'll have to make do with what you have. - Azmuth said thoughtfully, looking at the remnants of Vilgax's drones, which, after meeting with Lex, were lying around almost the entire territory of the planet.

Luckily, a few of the drones got lucky and only received a light hit, allowing them to practically survive aside from a heavy hit to the ground, which put them out of action, but it's still better than nothing.

One of these robots was immediately noticed by Azmuth, and quickly deciding what to do next, he said to Tetrax: - Take me to that robot that is stuck in the rock. He might come in handy.

- Okay, just hold on tight. And you too, Gluto. - Tetrax said and, taking out his hoverboard, jumped on it and flew forward, flying around the remains of many robots and the fire, which had not yet gone out, while holding Gluto, who was no longer protected by the magic sphere.

After a couple of minutes of flight, all three aliens reached the desired rock, and when Tetrax secured the territory with his crystals, Azmuth jumped off his shoulder and began to examine the robot, having already figured out what to do with it so that it would become useful when enemies soon appeared.

- Maybe I can help you with something? - Tetrax asked awkwardly still holding Gluto, who preferred to simply curl up into a ball since without his exoskeleton it was not safe for him, and he could not bring any benefit.

- Yes, make a flat platform out of your crystals and put this junk on it to make it more convenient for me to work. - said Azmuth hurriedly, climbing all over the drone and already starting to dismantle the internal systems to turn this robot into something ingenious.

- No problem. - Tetrax said readily, and putting his pilot on the ground, began to fulfill the order of Azmuth, which he managed to do without problems, in just a couple of minutes.

When the comfortable workspace was ready, Azmuth began to disassemble the head of the robot to reprogram it and make new adjustments.

But, feeling the gaze, he looked at the idle standing Tetrax, who simply did not know how else to help, and grumpily said: - If you want to be useful, return to my laboratory and bring here everything you can. Any materials will be useful to me.

- Good, I'll try to get back as soon as possible. - Tetrax said, taking out his flying board again.

- Be sure to grab my staff, it contains all my working tools. - before the big guy flew away, Azmuth called out, taking his eyes off the robot's electronics for a second, which he considered very primitive.

With a nod, Tetrax indicated that he had heard Azmuth' last request and, at the maximum available speed, flew back to the rock that started it all.

- Hey, you, Protost, stop lying around doing nothing, help me here. - Azmuth shouted, not even looking at Gluto, who had stayed behind to guard Galvan. Although he is a lump of mucus, if necessary, he can become a ferocious warrior.

- Grllp! - Gulto gurgled displeasedly, but still headed towards the platform with Azmuth, jumping for lack of legs.

- And there is nothing to complain about, our lives may depend on this, by the way! - Azmuth shouted, understanding Protost's language perfectly.

- Glrrp glrrp, glpllpr gl? - gurgled Gluto, something like "Okay, okay, what to do?"

- Climb inside the robot, open all the protective panels, and tear them out, they only get in the way. - Azmuth ordered.

Gluto shook his body, which was the equivalent of nodding his head and lunging at the robot, which was still in the state of a closed capsule for interstellar travel, apart from some areas that Azmuth was able to open and soak in through the slits of the skin.

Once inside and penetrating everywhere, like a true slime, Gluto made an effort and expanded, thereby opening the robot, at the same time tearing off the panels, that interfered with Azmuth

- Okay, you step aside and don't get in the way. said Azmuth, getting back to work.

- Ggglup! - Gathering into a single piece again, Gluto cursed like an experienced sailor and jumped away from Azmuth, who pissed him off.

Azmuth paid no attention to this and plunged headlong into the robot's processing, which caused silence for the next twenty minutes, which was interrupted by the appearance of Tetrax, who created a road of crystals along which he dragged Azmuth's equipment.

- I collected everything I could and everything that somehow survived. - Tetrax said, pointing behind him at the pile of junk he was pushing forward, creating crystals behind him.

- The main thing is that the staff is intact. - said Azmuth, snatching the staff from Tetrax's hands.

Returning to the workplace again, Azmuth opened the panel on the staff and, pulling out the wire from it, connected it to the main processor to make new protocols.

Then, he returned to the pile of materials that Tetrax had brought, and after selecting a couple of parts, he returned to the robot and took out tools from the staff, began to install new parts to the drone's power core.

A similar process was repeated several times, and only after another hour, Azmuth seemed to be satisfied with his work, although in appearance it was impossible to say that something had changed and what all the work of the alien was for.

- And what can he do now? - Tetrax asked curiously, sitting with Gluto a little further away, and watching the work of a genius.

- You'll see. The thing is disposable but extremely powerful. - Azmuth said with a smile.

- Grull? - gurgled Gluto, which means "What now?"

- We'll wait for someone to come or something to happen. - Sitting down, Azmuth said wearily, who is no longer so young to ride so briskly.

Silence fell again, and very awkward because Tetrax did not know what to say and how to turn to the Galvan, although he had just a sea of questions because he did not understand how everything came to what had come and what had happened to Lex.

Azmuth began to get annoyed by the looks that Tetrax was throwing at him, so he soon decided to start the question himself and asked with a sigh: - So, you are the same Petrosapien? The last one that caused Petropia to be destroyed?

- Yes. Although I can put all the blame on Vilgax, as he deceived me, I am well aware that it was my fault. I was too arrogant, I wanted fame and recognition, and in the end, I ruined everyone. - Tetrax said with unusual calmness, having long ago overcome all stages of denial and accepted his guilt.

- You are not the first and you will not be the last who, due to arrogance, made an irreparable mistake. - knowing from experience, Azmuth said.

- Also true, but I was lucky and there is a chance to correct everything that I have done. Not many people get that opportunity in life. - Tetrax said with a smile.

- Yes? Tell me more… - Azmuth asked sincerely.

Realizing that someone who could help him get Petropia back was interested, Tetrax immediately began his detailed story and even showed the Petropia Crystal to prove that his words were true.

- So that's why you all came here? To help you? So that I can repair the Omnitrix, and then, thanks to the Crystalsapiens, restore the planet? - Azmuth asked, who again reviewed all the actions of Lex and again began to reproach himself for not restraining himself.

- Yes, although I'm surprised you didn't know about it, since you added Sagelite DNA to the Omnitrix, the one who should awaken from the Lex' Chromastone and return my planet. - Tetrax said.

- I sent my assistant to collect DNA, as I had more important things to do. - Azmuth said, still lost in his thoughts.

- Well, in any case, I'm glad that we were still able to find you, and when all this confusion is over, I will be able to fulfill my mission. - Tetrax said happily.

- …Yes it is very good. - Azmuth said awkwardly, not daring to shatter Petrosapien's dreams.

Before Tetrax noticed Azmuth's strange intonation, he looked up at the sky and saw a large shadow, which he immediately recognized as the famous Chimerian Hammer, Vilgax's ship. More precisely, a new ship, because the last one destroyed Lex, but now it's not up to that.

- He's here, and it looks like his robots were able to clear the way for him and break through the entire blockade around the planet. - Tetrax said, looking anxiously at the sky.

- Luckily, I'm all set. - Azmuth said with a grin and returned to the robot again, he pressed some buttons and the transformation began.

As if the old look was a hoax the drone began to take shape and in a couple of seconds turned into a huge cannon, similar to a railgun, in which the former appearance of the robot from which it was made was only partially visible.

- Create protection. - shouting over the noise created by a fully charged cannon, Azmuth asked Tetrax and again pressing a button, hastily ran behind the protective crystal wall.

- 3… 2… 1… - once safe, Azmuth began a countdown, during which the cannon began to glow even brighter, and after *BTUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM*.

The cannon fired a huge blue beam of energy that hit the Chimerian Hammer squarely and pierced through the ship, ignoring the energy shield, and flying somewhere further into space.

The shot itself overheated Azmuth's invention too much, and after a couple of seconds, the cannon simply cracked down and was no longer able to fire.

- Damn junk! - Azmuth said displeasedly, although he knew that this would happen. It just pissed him off that he had to work with such terrible materials.

- But the shot was good. - Tetrax said, watching as Vilgax's ship began to explode in the air and fall apart, falling to the surface of the planet, which no longer cared about the new wave of destruction.

- Looks like our help is no longer needed here. - a new voice suddenly rang out, which attracted the attention of the three aliens watching the death of Vilgax's flagship.
