165 164. Azmuth 2

(Gwen POV)

Before I could say anything to calm the tense situation, a powerful wave of magic erupted from Lex's body, which threw Azmuth and me into different corners of the room. It looks like Lex isn't even going to contain his anger this time…

- Urgh… - Crashing into the wall with force, I could only moan in pain and helplessly look at Lex, around whom such strong magic was raging that he began to levitate.

Blue magical energy was intensely escaping from the lad's, which completely enveloped his body, as a result of which his entire skin began to glow, and his hair defied gravity and, changing its color to bright blue, stretched towards the ceiling.

Hanging in the air, his eyes burning with anger and magic, he looked at Azmuth, who also hit the wall quite hard and now looked at Lex in shock.

- LEX!!! STOP!!! - trying to shout over the rumble of magic that filled the entire lair, I shouted, but Lex was completely focused on Azmuth and did not even pay attention to me.

- What do you say now? - Lex asked threateningly, slowly flying up to Azmuth lying helplessly on the ground.

The alien himself twitched visibly when he heard Lex's new voice, which was much deeper than before and now reeked of something ancient and powerful, echoing off the walls.

But Azmuth seemed to retain what little courage, or rather stupidity, and despite Lex's current state, he clearly had no intention of backing down.

- You can do whatever you want to me, it won't change anything. I won't fix the Omnitrix. - Azmuth said confidently, looking at Lex without any fear, seemingly resigned to what might happen next.

Of course, he can be praised for his courage, given that death is literally hanging over him now, but this was clearly not the right decision.

Lex didn't like this answer, and following his anger, the intensity of the magic around him began to increase even more. The pressure from magic increased so much that Azmuth and I were simply pinned to the floor, and we could not move at all.

- LEX!!! PLEASE…. - I exclaimed plaintively, struggling to get up, but stopped in horror when I noticed that the skin on Lex's face began to slowly peel off, revealing a blue energy body.

- LEX, STOP!!! IF YOU CONTINUE TO RELEASE YOUR MAGIC, YOU WILL SHUT OFF YOUR SKIN AND BECOME ANODITE!!! - I screamed at the top of my lungs as I started using my magic to ease the pressure of Lex's magic.

Lex again ignored my cry, but Azmuth seemed to hear me, and seriously looking at Lex, he said: - Listen to her, boy. If you don't stop now, it could end very badly for you.

- I don't care. The only thing that matters now is that you feel bad. - Lex said calmly, ignoring the fact that half of his face had already changed to Anodite's energy body.

- You told me that it takes about 75 years before Anodite can fully master his true powers. Using your full potential before achieving full control may cause your personality to be suppressed and you to lose your humanity, please, stop. - I said plaintively, finally getting to my feet with difficulty.

- Now it is not so important. - Lex said and with a wave of his hand, he threw me back again, which caused me to fall to the ground again.

- Don't get angry, boy. It never ends well, I know from experience. - Azmuth said with difficulty, trying to move under the pressure that pinned him down like a fly.

- Don't you think it's too late to give me advice about life? - Lex said, and after raising Azimus with telekinesis, he added: - Stop stalling for time trying to escape.

- Tch, you did notice. - Azmuth said with displeasure as Lex snatched from his hands some kind of device that the alien was trying to activate.

- I ask you, for the last time, will you do what I ask? - Lex asked, already half-turned into Anodite and trying his best to keep his sanity.

- Never. - Azmuth said stubbornly, and crossing his arms in front of his chest, he added: - You cannot force me to change my me, no matter what you do.

- Damn stubborn old man!!! - I shouted, not believing that this idiot, spent his last chance to resolve everything peacefully, just because of his stupid pride.

The intensity of the magic increased again, and even breathing became difficult, and the skin on Lex's body began to peel off faster and faster. I called on all the mana available to me to defend myself and get back on my feet, but it was harder done than said. In this state, Lex is much stronger than me. It is necessary to think of something ...

- Even if I throw you in the sun? - Lex asked, apparently already in a state of cold rage and now only wanting to destroy the frog in front of him.

This option, Azmuth obviously didn't foresee, and his gray skin went one shade paler, but Lex didn't seem to notice and started suggesting other options while I started trying to cover my body with mana to try Lex's favorite trick.

- Or should I throw you into a black hole? Not, too easy, especially since there's a chance you'll survive somehow. - Lex muttered thoughtfully, looming over Azmuth menacingly.

- Although, I can always attack your planet to torment you…. - Lex said bloodthirsty, this time really frightening Azmuth.

- Don't even dare! - Azmuth protested furiously, still hanging in the air in front of Lex.

- I didn't mean to, I'm not a psycho, some kind. The inhabitants of your planet are not to blame for the fact that they are your relatives. - Lex said with a smirk, and then added: - I'd rather give you to Vilgax. This guy will disembowel you to get information about the creation of the Omnitrix.

- You wouldn't dare! You know as well as do what will happen if Vilgax can replicate the Omnitrix!!! - Azmuth shouted.

- Well then, you should be as unshakable as you are now and die with dignity after all the torture. - Clearly enjoying Azmuth's' horror, Lex said.

- Lex, please… - I said softly.

- Okay, these are all jokes, I know what to do with you. Since you don't want Morgana back to me, I'll take your most precious possession, Azmuth. Your vaunted intellect. - Lex said and began to create a complex magic spell.

- What… What are you doing? - Azmuth asked, swallowing in fear, as a large magic circle began to form over Lex's hand, filled with a huge amount of mana, causing even the air to ripple.

- I told you, I'm only going to get your intellect. - Lex said, and after finishing creating the magic circle, he added an explanation: - This is an ancient spell that will create a seal that will block most of the functions of your brain, or rather both brains, because your race has two of them. As a result, accelerated degradation will begin, and with every second you will lose part of your intellect and memory, and in less than two months you will turn into a clueless vegetable, unable to even turn on the TV.

Now, Lex really scared the hell out of Azmuth. The alien began to try to escape from the power of Lex, and when this did not work out, he shouted something in an unknown language and his exo-skeleton came to life and, gathering together again, tried to attack Lex, but he only moved his eyebrow and annihilated the entire suit. Didn't know he could do that...

-You have some protection against magic that prevented me from finding you with a search spell, but is this protection good enough to protect you from this seal? Why don't we check it out, right? - Lex said threateningly as he began to bring the magic circle closer to Azmuth' head.

- YOU WON'T GET ANYTHING WITH THIS! I WILL NOT CHANGE MY OPINION! - Azmuth shouted, once again showing his foolish pride, though he didn't give up trying to escape.

- Then there is nothing more to discuss. Farewell, Azmuth. - Lex said coldly, looking like he was already determined to get the job done.

- Stop! - I exclaimed, grabbing the guy's hand. Finally, I managed to get to it...

- I see you were able to create an armor construct, Gwen. It's commendable, but it doesn't change much. - Seeing that I was able to protect myself from the pressure of his magic by creating armor, as Lex himself likes to do, he said with a short glance at me, after which, with a slight movement of his hand, he broke the armor and threw me back again.

- Damn… - I exclaimed in displeasure, crashing into the wall again. And it took me so much effort to create this damn armor without Lex noticing.

- So where did we stop? - asked Lex, already 90% Anodite.

- You were going to turn me into a dumbass. - Azmuth said grumpily.

- Ah, right. I think we can continue. - Lex said, and again began to bring the seal closer to Azmuth' head.

- You'll regret it. - Azmuth said confidently as he watched his biggest fear get closer and closer to being fulfilled.

- Maybe. - Lex agreed, but then added with a smirk: - But you won't see it anymore.

- Hmph. In that case, do what you have in mind. But, know that now I am even more confident in my decision not to trust you with the Omnitrix. - Azmuth said, looking into Lex's burning eyes.

- I don't care about your Omnitrix. - Lex said furiously and without hesitation threw the magic circle at Azmuth, finally adding: - Your mistake was that you refused to return Morgana to me!

Watching in horror as the spell closed in on Azmuth, I knew Lex would truly regret it. Now he has succumbed to his anger and Anodite heritage, which does not allow him to think straight, even with mental protection. I have to stop him and there is only one way left...
