Cronicles of Aruan: scientist reincarnated in a world of magic.

In the year 2023, Aruan (or Aruanã) was a survivor. As a biologist-engineer at the Butantan Institute, he was researching the mutation of the rabies virus. His work involved experimenting with cellular regeneration of the nervous system to develop a potential cure. However, what he thought would be a breakthrough ended up becoming his worst nightmare. An infection spread from his assistant, leading to the destruction of his lab, and soon the virus spread across Brazil and the world. Haunted by guilt as one of the few survivors of the apocalypse, Aruan roams a desolate world alone. His journey takes an unexpected turn when he is discovered by a surviving militia. He helps this small village thrive, providing guidance and hope in a world gripped by chaos. During an ambush by a rival faction, Aruan is tragically killed. But that’s not the end of his story. Summoned by the Gods, he is chosen as their champion and sent to another world to serve their will. This opportunity offers him a chance for redemption, a chance to correct the mistakes of his past. Given the divine powers to choose from, Aruan faces a peculiar option: Science Manipulation. Eager to employ his newfound abilities and the knowledge from his former world, he selects it without hesitation. Little does he know that he’ll be reborn into a world where magic is the dominant force, presenting a unique challenge.

Second Chance Addison

'How did I fall this far this fast?' He thought as he swirled the whiskey in his glass. He tilted his head back and downed the rest of his liquor. He picked the bottle up off of his desk to refill the glass for the nth time. Just a single drop rolled out and fell into the empty vessel. 'Well isn't that just fantastic.' In a moment of hazy frustration, he hurled the bottle across the office. It wasn't like there was anyone to care about a mess of broken glass anyway. There was no one around to even hear it shatter. Even he didn't get to hear it shatter. When that realization hit him, he jerked his head towards the door where he had thrown the bottle. In the shadows there stood a petite young woman, the bottle in her hands. She appeared to be carefully studying the label and completely disinterested in him. "Wh-who are you?" Perhaps he had turned around too quickly. The room was starting to sway. He barely managed to sputter out those three words much less put them in the right order. "How original," the woman rolled her eyes before fixing them on his. "Shouldn't you be asking yourself that very question?" ~~~~~ This is NOT a transmigration or reincarnation story! ~~~~~ If those you trusted most had betrayed you and you had lost everything and someone offered you a second chance, would you be willing to take it? Would you still be able to trust others? Chance L. Addison has seemingly hit rock bottom when he is offered an unlikely opportunity to start over. Not only can he get back to where he was before, he can have his status elevated further to become one of the most wealthy and successful tycoons in the world. But first he is at a small publishing company? What secrets could he be keeping? And what secrets are his saviors keeping from him? ~~~~~ Hello Readers, This is the first web novel I've ever written! I Just wanna relax in my new robotic life!

(*[A/N]so before I give the actual synopsis, yes I am making one more fic, mainly because the idea shoved itself into my head so violently that I couldn't just put it into the idea book, I had to make it, dunno how long it'll go, but here it is.*) So, I died, dunno how, or why, but I did, I floated for quite some time in the void, the only things keeping me sane(at least somewhat) during that is that when I 'woke up here' so to speak I was in a new robotic body, it's a strange sensation, and that I've had all my memories fully refreshed as if I just made them, since I'm a robot now, they won't degrade anymore(hopefully) anyways... Where was I going with this? Oh right, explaining how I got into the situation that's unfolding. *SLAM* "Hey! Cool robot guy! Join my crew!" said the future king of the pirates. "Yo mecha dude, you got any more of those nano-whatzits the one you gave me before broke" said the strongest hero. "Machine man! I need you to get me more of those Thermo-shurikan you made for me! They absolutely destroyed the training dummys I tried them out on!" said the Jinchūriki of the nine-tailed fox. Yeah, somehow I ended up in a tavern that connects to random anime worlds. Maaan I just wanted to end up on a planet and just lived out this new robot life of mine. [A/N the picture is an AI generated Picture, I have 2 others I can pick from, chose the most relaxed one. I have absolutely no idea where exactly this will go, but I had to do it.]

Fight After Death

Akatsuki, a poor man who survives with his poor family. He has a loving wife. He may not be rich, or even middle classed, but he is the happiest man in the world, with his family, he has nothing more to ask... One day, when he is picking up his wife from her restaurant where she waiters at, ambulances were wailing and the area was a mess. Akatsuki ran to the door, shoving the staff away to see what he feared. He saw his wife on the ground, barely breathing, a pool of blood surrounding her. "H-Honey..." It was too late, or so it seemed. "T-Take my whole body, just heal my wife! I'll sacrifice anything!" he begged the doctor. The doctor said he required a new brain, basically if this were to go through, he would have to sacrifice his life for hers, and the chances of it even working were very slim. "I-I'll do it! Take me to the hospital." Akatsuki said with determination. The operation succeeded, but he died in the process. He entered a blinding light, and saw that he had entered an arena. "Welcome to the fight after death! You will each be blessed by one god, if you are blessed, you will gain the powers of that god, once you do, you will be transported to a world of your choice, do what ever it takes to conquer and achieve the best score, the winner will be presented to the almighty being and be granted one wish with no limitations! Now win the battle!" --- This novel is inspired by many other's, so don't be surprised if you recognize similar dialogue. But this story is my story, just telling all the Karens out there.

The Extraordinary Life of Rob Murray...

The folks that supposedly know all about writing, publishing and printing books said, you have to tell them a little about yourself. Actually I have in the opening chapter at least. But again this is NOT supposed to be an autobiography about me, but rather the very unique experiences of my life. Naturally, some of me will creep into the pages because of how one thing led to another and then another etc. I have left a lot of the real me personal stuff out of the book on purpose for that reason. So after retiring from the military (US Air Force) after 24 pretty good years of service, I did all sorts of things but to be honest nothing was a perfect match for me. I cooked at aanEdgartown (Martha‘s Vineyard ) restaurant for a summer, drove a taxi mainly for tourists a couple oif years, worked in retail, cooked at an assisted living place, sold carpets, wood flooring, ceramic and all that for a few years. All of that was pleasureable most days, but just not me. So in 1996, remembering my service in Iceland and the litteral paradise it was in the 70‘s and 80‘s when I served there I decided to make the move. Having an Icelandic wife, that made the immigration application and approval fairly easy. Since one necessary requirement was a full time job to get a work permit. So I took a job at of all places McDonald‘s for nearly a year. A great training ground, But Iceland, like everywhere was changing, but with all the rukles and regulations about as close to slavery as busy as it was for anyone. I did announcing, finally getting on at a radio station with a show in fact three of my own over three years. But in the closing days of the century, the station changed hands a few times , managers even more frequently and someone discovered that if you taped stuff, ran computer programs and automated most of the time, you didn‘t have to pay salaries just the electric bill. So that ended the last day of 1999 when a new contract was offerred at about half pay. I declined. Then I went into tourism for 20 years, planning personal tours for people. That was great. It‘s an incredile beautiful country, expensive to live work and visit here but VERY worth the effort, even today. 2008 wasn‘t the only crash. My overall health declined rather suddenly, with iskemic optical neropathy, partially in both eyes, type two diabeties, high blood pressure and general unsteadiness, perhaps because of everything else. So enough about the author. If you want to know more, you‘ll have to ask. So enjoy the book, I wrote it to be enjoyed.
