1 The Day I Became a Murder Suspect.

Hi, I'm Alejandro Cruz, and if you're reading this... I am dead.

Let's start from the beginning. I was born in Tultitlán, Mexico. I have a half sister, Georgia Davies, My Mom, Sofia Davies and my step dad, Archie Davies. I didn't take my stepfather's last name as I don't think it would suit me so I kept my mom's maiden name. We lived in England at the time when this all started.

So let me get to the point. You know those stories of gods and heroes who roamed the world in ancient times? Well they are real. I don't know about Greek, Roman, and Norse, but the ones my life centers around definitely are. I am a Demigod, yup you saw that right. Half mortal, half God and to be honest, it's not at all as great as it sounds. A lot of Demigods live terrible lives, and often die before they turn 18.

If you've seen the title of this book, you should know which Gods I am talking about. My father is an Aztec God. and what you have heard about them asking for sacrifices is true, and that is where our story begins.

I was 14 when this happened, I was attending a small school in Barnsley, England. It had been shut down due to a girl found in a classroom ripped open and without organs. That is just 1 of the many mysterious murders around our town. I should've kept my nose out of it and maybe... just maybe I wouldn't be in this mess.

I was with my friend Rico, we were exploring the forest outside his house late at night. It wasn't allowed due to the killings but I begged him to come with me. After hours of persuasion he reluctantly agreed. Rico was a tall, tanned skin boy with black hair and gorgeous emerald eyes, he was extremely well built for someone our age, and extremely hot for a guy, no homo. He has been my best friend for about 3 years. "Come on Rico," I said pushing through the forest. "I heard my dad talking bout one of the corpses being around here." Rico rubbed his arm and follows behind. He looked nervous and on edge. Which was a pretty fair mood for what we were doing. "I don't think this is a good idea Al, what if we get caught." Rico was always super against these ideas, and looking back I wish I had been too. We reached where I heard my father say the body was, nd sure enough, there was a corpse strung to a tree. It had a slit throat and its eyes were gouged out, its chest was ripped open and no sign of any organs. The body was so destroyed I couldn't even tell what gender they were.

"Nah, sorry dude, my stomach can't handle this." Rico turned around and left.

"Suit yourself." I shrugged. At the time I didn't think anything of the corpse... but I'm pretty sure that cops remove a corpse when it's been found. A few minutes pass when I hear something snap behind me. I didn't even turn around to look, but as I went to run I slipped and fell onto the corpse. My hands, clothes and face covered in its blood. I stood up and started running.

It felt like I had been running for ages when I finally reached the end of the forest. I heard a voice. "PUT YOUR HANDS UP WHERE I CAN SEE THEM!" I raised my hand and looked towards the voice. It was Archie. "Alejandro... what did you do." I looked at the blood all over me and looked back at Archie... I knew what he was thinking.

We reached the Police station and I was put into a holding cell. I had tried to explain what happened to Archie, but he wasn't having any of it. I put my head into my hands and started stressing out. He couldn't possibly think it was me... can he? I saw my mom outside the holding cell with Archie, I guess she left Georgia with a babysitter. But the way she looked at me wasn't like how everyone else was looking at me, instead of looking at me like I was a monster her face was full of guilt and sorrow. Archie took me out and sat me in the interrogation room with my mother. " Are you OK sweetie? What did you see out there? Did it hurt you?! OH GOD HELP THEM IF THEY TOUCHED MY BABY!" I looked around at her confused and scared.

"Mom, what do u mean?" I asked her. Her expression turned serious. and she looked at the mirror behind her and nodded.

"Listen to me carefully," She whispered." Me and my friend will get you out of here. And when you're out run as far and as fast as you can." My heart started pounding extremely fast.

"Mom you're scaring me."

"Baby listen, I know your 14 but I need you to run to you Tia's house, she will explain everything. Got it?" I didn't quite understand but I nodded. The power went out and she uncuffed me and let me out. I ran in the direction of my Tia's house. Tia Maria was kind and loving, but her and mom were always keeping secrets from me.

About an hour or two passes when I reach the door of my aunt's house. I look around in panic. Across the street was a man, illuminated by the street light. He was average height, short brown hair with a few stripes of stone grey, he was dressed in grey and black shirt and blue ripped jeans. But after a car drove by he had vanished.

Maria answers the door. "Oh you poor thing, get in quick. They'll find you." I walk in and look around, terrified. I was now officially a fugitive.

"Tia Maria," I said shakily. "W-whats happening?"
