The Grand Hall is filled with students running from the pouring rain. It started coming down seconds before, forcing Alec to leap and jump, balance lost inside the heels of her patent leather shoes. She dives through the double doors laughing, hair not yet drenched, makeup still pristine on a face that glows with a sense of achievement. She spots the two Serpens students who usually act referee in their hall, seniors both, the ones others tend to revert to when in need of something. They'll take issues up to the Head Teacher or his Assistant, and according to Cass, it's to them Year One rookies are supposed to bring the wine bottle, should they succeed.

Which Alec has.

Searching around, she finds Igor, whose help she'll need. The young man seems to understand her silent request, cuts through the mob to join her, his own face shadowed by surprise and a questioning glare.
