15 Teachings

Min gazed at Tao Shun's lifeless body, then looked at her trembling hands. It was at that moment that all the adrenaline that had built up inside her vanished, and reality set in.

She turned around and vomited, her body collapsing, but Tang Yun caught her before she hit the ground.

"Don't worry; you'll become used to it over time." Tang Yun assured Min, placing her on his back and returning to the restaurant.

Before leaving, Tang Yun's alchemy flame appeared on his palms. He threw it at Tao Shun's body, engulfing him instantly, and it disappeared the next moment, leaving nothing behind, not even ashes.

During their journey back, Min inquired with a hushed tone, "Could you tell me how my sister and me will become cultivators?"

Tang Yun chuckled, and Min's heart sank, fearing that she might have been deceived by Tang Yun.

"Let's focus on your well being first before delving into further this discussion." Tang Yun expressed with sincere concern.

Observing the sincerity in his voice, Min smiled faintly and closed her eyes to rest.

Arriving back at the restaurant a few minutes later, Tang Yun found Jie nervously pacing in circles, biting her nails.

Seeing Tang Yun return with her sister on his back, Jie's expression shifted to one of panic. However, before she could voice her concern, Tang Yun gestured for her to remain silent.

Using his Qi Spatial Sense, which grants cultivators the ability to perceive everything within a designated area based on their cultivation base, Tang Yun assessed the surroundings.

He located an upstairs room and gently laid her on the bed, ensuring she was comfortable before covering her with a blanket.

Upon Tang Yun's return downstairs, Jie hurriedly approached him.

"Is she in good condition?!" Jie wondered with a concerned tone.

"Rest assured, she is merely resting. Your sister possesses remarkable strength, yet her determination to safeguard you is equally potent. In the future, there may be moments when you'll need to intervene and prevent her from making decisions she might regret forever." Tang Yun conveyed to Jie, who found the conversation perplexing.

Jie knew of Min's deep concern for her, though she couldn't comprehend why Tang Yun spoke as if he had insight into the future.

She was about to speak, but Tang Yun beat her to it, inquiring, "Where is everyone?" His words followed the lack of their presence in his Qi Spatial Sense.

"The customers were affected by the earlier events, so they took them on a walk to help them clear their minds," she responded.

Tang Yun nodded, sat down, and pondered the words Tao Shun spoke when he showed his memories.

The word coward echoed in his mind, and unpleasant memories that he had tried to forget began flooding back.

In an effort to shift his thoughts away from those memories, Tang Yun chose to concentrate on teaching Jie on cultivation.

"Do you have a basic understanding of cultivation?" Tang Yun inquired of Jie.

She shook her head, a response not unexpected after what Min had shared.

"Let's begin your lessons. Pay close attention," Tang Yun said with a solemn tone. Jie mirrored the seriousness, positioning herself on the floor with legs crossed and back straight, ready to absorb the forthcoming knowledge.

"To start cultivation, you need a suitable technique that aligns with your physique. This choice ensures maximum benefits and minimizes the risk of damaging your dantian," Tang Yun explained, allowing a moment for Jie to digest the information.

After a brief pause, he continued, "While everyone possesses a dantian, not everyone can become a cultivator. Obtaining a cultivation technique usually requires a lot of money, making it challenging for mortals from ordinary backgrounds to acquire one."

"Can't someone receive a technique for free from a cultivator or someone else?" Jie questioned, prompting a nod from Tang Yun.

"Possible, but highly improbable. Giving away a cultivation technique to a stranger out of good will without strings attached is unlikely." Tang Yun replied.

Jie, hesitant but curious, voiced her thoughts, "Aren't you providing us a free technique? Does that mean there are strings attached?"

Acknowledging her observant nature, Tang Yun explained, "I'm the impossible case, I am extending goodwill. If you harbor doubts, we can pause, and you can consider it further before making your decision."

Quick to dispel any doubt, Jie shook her head. "After spending some time with you, I sense your sincerity. I'd like to proceed."

Jie recognized that Tang Yun's benevolence might be an act, yet she deemed it a risk worth taking if it made the way for her and her sister to truly change their way of life.

"I appreciate your trust. Now, I'll give you a cultivation technique. Simply cultivate it, and in time, you'll form your dantian capable of absorbing Qi. The duration depends on your innate talent," Tang Yun explained, tapping her forehead and transferring the immortal grade technique directly to her mind.

Tang Yun provided the gist of things to her, leaving out details she'll automatically learn along the way. Tang Yun was going to remind her to cultivate, but Jie, not needing a reminder, assumed the lotus position and began her cultivation.

Tang Yun smiled, satisfied with Min and Jie's potential. Tang Yun saw reflections of himself in their determination.

After a few hours, Mr. Gong and the others returned.

Their eyes widened in astonishment as they witnessed Jie already immersed in cultivation, and a surge of excitement enveloped them.

Tang Yun warmly greeted them and provided a brief explanation about cultivation, similar to what he had shared with Jie.

He assessed each individual's physique by gently touching their foreheads, allowing him to determine the most suitable cultivation technique for each person before passing the immortal grade technique.

Tang Yun kept a vigilant eye on them as they immersed themselves in cultivation, ensuring smooth progress for everyone.

Upstairs, Min, now awake, surveyed her surroundings and realized she was comfortably tucked into a bed.

Min blushed slightly, recalling how Tang Yun had carried her on his back and ensured her comfort in the bed.

Min regained her composure and walked down the stairs to see everyone cultivating.
