1 The twist

*Gasp*

I wake from my slumber with a look of shock on my face.

(Oh I see then. It was all a dream then. I mean off course my closest allies could never betray m- where am I.)

His eyes dart around he discovers that he is no longer within his bedroom at the palace but is in a somewhat smaller room and slightly less extravagant, but the most eye catching were the people who were hovering over him with surprise and joy in there eyes.

"Arnald can you see it too?! Our boys alive!" Says a woman with long red hair and golden eyes

"I see it darling I do" says a man says a man with blonde hair and blue eyes"

The only other person in the room makes a short cough and speaks

"Pardon me Mr and Mrs Crow, but if you would allow it I would like to check your son's vitals one more time"

The woman reply's "Of course Dr Bone, check until your sure he's ok"

With that, the doctor went to grab my arm, but quickly I swat it away.

"who are you people! and for what reason have you brought me here!"

I attempted to unleash my power to make them cower but try as I may, nothing comes out.

With shock that didn't go unnoticed I look at my shaking hands.

(It wasn't a dream) I think to myself.

Woman begins to cry and cover her face with her gloved hands and the man just holds her and looks on with an undecipherable emotion in his eyes.

At this moment thoughts flash through his head at lightning speed

(I did die, these hands are too small to be my own, these people seem to think I'm thier son, I should probably play this out)

The woman looks into my eyes and speaks "You are my son, my lovely boy who's kindness knows no bounds, my angel boy who's known to be the betrothed of the second princess, heir to the Crow dukedom and one of the most talented scholars in the Greyscale kingdom. You are Akka Argenti Crow, and we know you will get through this soon."

The doctor looked a little unnerved before speaking. "...Or at least he was... I mean he's not anymore he doesn't remember anything..."

The father left utterly agape at the words of this shrewd doctor spoke with anger. "Get out"

The doctor raised his pointer finger and was about to sheepishly protest before the father exclaimed "Now!"

Fearing the results of further angering the duke the doctor escaped the room, fearing that should be have stayed any longer that he may not have left it with his life.

With that I speak to this body's mother "Do you think I'll be able to get my memories back and remember you mother?"

Her heart thumps loudly at this unknown to me and she exclaims "Of course! I've heard of such situations before and I know it to be possible that your memories could return"

The father nods his head in agreement.

"This may seem kind of silly of me to be asking" I say "But what are your names?"

The couple look to each other in slight shock having realized once more that their son knows nothing of them.

The mother and father stand up straight and bow with a twirl of their hand. The mother said "I am Ariana" the the father said "I am Vincent"
