CHAPTER 1

He stormed into the office looking fiercely passing by anyone greeting him without pausing to reply them. I greeted him too as his secretary he didn't even look at me twice,he just asked me to report to his office. I wondered why I had to get a job in a place like this but money matters.

I went to him and he asked me to get him some documents from the finance manager which I did immediately and returned to my desk. I pondered about why people keep greeting him when he doesn't even respond then I remembered the day Mr Robins,the managing director as said by him passed by him without greeting but other staff said he greeted him maybe he didn't hear. As we will have it,he was called into the office and given two sack letter. Everyone was shocked and it was sudden but there was no reversal.

The atmosphere of the company went back to normal and it didn't even seem as though,'a part of us has been removed'. we continued our work and everyone faced his or her business. coming back to reality,I reckoned that he was a devil in human body with no human feeling. I just heard my name I didn't know he was standing close to me before I knew it,he slapped me and threw a document at me. I just opened my mouth with no words coming out of it. I didn't know he had been calling my name but I was engrossed in brown study.He immediately said that I should take the document and overview it before sending it to marketing department. I quickly stood up before receiving another one.

FLASHBACK;

I looked into the past and remembered when I was working in a restaurant. I wonder why people are so mean and selfish. I am a woman in blue stocking. I hold a masters degree in Accounting but Providence led me to poverty I was on the breadline and I had to look for a means of survival. I searched for job everywhere but it was fertile. when there was no option for me I had to accept the job as a (dish washer) in Donns restaurant. I worked in that place for six months and everyday was hell. My boss,Mr Donald, I guess that's where the name of the restaurant came from,was very mean and everyday he storms into the kitchen inspecting every dishes if it is neatly washed and if he finds a stain,I am done for. He will order me to clean the whole restaurant for 3 days relieving the cleaners of their work. I will do it without objecting knowing that it is my only means of survival. I will clean the restaurant,when I am fully done with washing the dishes. I had to be very fast in whatever I do because I know,Mr Donald doesn't like sluggishness but smartness. I continued until one day,I met a Godsend. A person whom God used to grant me divine uplift.

A man came to the restaurant one day and forgot his wallet. I offended Mr Donald again and had to do my normal punishment of sweeping and I found it. Luckily for him,his identity card was inside. when I was done for the day,I glanced through the card and saw the man number and immediately I called him and informed him. He didn't even notice,he gave me his address to meet him in his house and with the way i spoke,He was impressed and told me to come back the following day so we could talk better. I closed for the day with high hopes of what was awaiting me the next day.

Mr Donald, a handsome young man in his mid twenties, took over his dad's business after the retirement of the sick man, Mr Doweto

A 56 year old man, with grey mustache and grey- black hair. The ex CEO of Eloquent Unique Fashion, he also inherited the company from his dad, Mr Badmus, who's dead now, he died from pancreatic cancer. Mr Doweto, however, is sick from diabetes. Mr Donald was a little relieved when he discovered his dad was sick, not that he was happy, no, he was just relieved, Mr Doweto was- when he was still healthy- a very strict boss who always pressured his employees to work, the staffs in the production department actually threw a secret party in the factory warehouse. But that happiness didn't last long. The arrival of Mr Donald, brought terror to the employees, when he was his dad's personal assistant he was usually a little relaxed with his dad's employees but that relaxation vanished when he became the CEO, his dad made sure of that, even though just only sibling was a girl,Damis,18 years of age, his dad let him know that if he messed up, just a little, he'll take the position away from him and hand it over to his sister or his personal assistant named Dave.

And that was Mr Donald greatest nightmare, he had always wanted to take over his Dad's company, he even went to school to study Business all because of it, so,he would do anything and everything to retain the position and it wasn't difficult for him, because he was naturally an authoritative person, a little bossy and aggressive, his life was about work, and sometimes he went out with his friends to night clubs, but that didn't happen frequently. He never joked with work even when he was his dad's PA. He'd work himself to the edge. If the employees were scared when his dad was boss, they were terrified now, they always complained among themselves about how brutal he was, He increased their working hours by two hours and reduced their break period by just a few minutes.

He already fired two employees two months after taking over. He complained about their incompetence and inefficiency.

Everyday there was always yelling from his office but one thing they all knew and can't deny is that he was good at his job. Really good, ever since he took over work had been booming, his dad had always been proud of him. They never lost any contracts, never made loss, and the only thing that really encouraged the workers was the increase in salary, which was due to increased sales.

He had been in the position for 6 months and the workers felt like it was just the beginning of their suffering and little, really little joy.

That's all about my boss,his ways are dinky and dingy but at the end of it all he was very diligent and efficient man with highly sophisticated principles which piss me off sometimes. Let me tell you a little bit of myself.
