42 ⌜Chapter 36⌟

Gleam eyes, one of the boss monsters that was able to almost kill Kirito, frankly, Tanaka doesn't expect that much as Kirito could kill it solo and in Kiritos skill level, he was quite weak in front of Tanaka.

Tanaka smiled as he noticed that the A.I monster is improving and could now catch up to his sword skills though it was still faraway, but as expected of an A.I it was improving at a very fast speed.

It didn't take long for it to push, Tanaka back in terms of swordsmanship.

"Hoho, this is getting interesting!"

Tanaka smiled as he saw this, this was much better than fighting boss monster who just overwhelmed him with their attributes. This one is learning his skills and improving it, it was really fun for Tanaka.

He continued fighting it until he noticed it was already powerful in using sword Tanaka swapped his weapon into a scythe. Tanaka spun the scythe around his hands like he was playing with it.

There are reasons why Tanaka chose scythe as a weapon but one thing is that, Scythe is a very powerful weapon, unlike swords, spears and some weapons, they were used to attack weak spots and you also have to mind of how you attack, but using scythe is different, its attack pattern is a single way, and that is building momentum.

Just like an axe where you have to swing it powerfully, Scythe needed to be swung around and the power of your strikes keeps growing stronger and stronger, just like a race car gaining a lot of speed.

*Boom! *Boom! *Boom!

Every attack of Tanaka was like a big hammer pounding the Lizard man with strikes, it was getting overwhelmed. Even with its improved swordsmanship, it was being pushed back and could do nothing but try to dodge or block its attack.

It didn't take long for it to be completely overwhelmed and turn into shards of light.

"That was a good warmup, now time to proceed"

Tanaka walked forward and while on his way, he met two people. It was Kirito and Asuna on a date? why are they having a date in a labyrinth? Is that a new trend?, Well, whatever.

The moment the two saw Tanaka, they immediately became cautious and became alert. Look at those faces, they are terrified from the presence of Madara haha.

Anyway, he can't tease them right now being Madara, if it was Ice he would tease them to death, that was just him being bitter of not having a girlfriend, well, this actually surprised Tanaka, even though he didn't see them much together they actually still became a couple but anyway that is for another time, Tanaka ignored them and continued moving on.

Kirito and Asuna looked at each other and nodded. They both followed 'Madara' wanting to see where he is going, speaking of which, Kirito was an excellent actor in that one despite knowing his real identity, he should have won Oscars.

Reaching the boss room, Tanaka opened the gigantic door leading towards the room inside. Unlike other boss rooms that are bigger, the boss room of 74tf floor has a small space inside.

It was like a sumo ring, a little bigger, though. Tanaka then turned his eyes and looked at the boss monster kneeling with its eyes closed, and had the sword on its hand.

Tanaka stepped forward and the moment he entered the circle, the entire room started lighting up, torches started burning brightly, and the health bar of the boss monster showed, at the same time its name came out.

Also, Tanaka suddenly heard music started playing in the background.

"What the? This is the first time a boss music playing"

Tanaka was a little surprise to hear it, but hearing it got Tanaka pumped out.

"Since the music is getting me pumped, let's end this as fast as possible"

Tanaka smiled mischievously, and charged towards Gleam Eyes, Gleam eyes who had its eyes closed immediately opened its eyes and stood up.

*Clang!

"Whoa! this guy has a fast reaction"

Tanaka was surprised as Gleam eyes were able to block his surprise attack, It didn't even flinch from his attack.

"Now, this one going to be tough"

Tanaka chuckled.

"Death Dance"

While Tanaka is fighting, both Kirito and Asuna arrived and were shocked from the scene, even though they have seen Madara fight from the livestreams, seeing it in person is actually very overwhelming for them.

"He is so powerful... I think only Heathcliff or guild master Ice can go against him"
