12 AIGIS

Leon opened his eyes and saw himself lying on the ground which clearly had blood patches all over it. It was as if the blood had long since dried up. For a moment there, he felt a mixture of mentions he hadn't for a long time

He felt fear, amazement, disappointment, and a tinge of relief at the end. It took him time to process them, but he manages to understand what kind of mindset he possessed.

"So I don't want to die in the end." He could understand whether to be ashamed of himself for being in this situation or be relieved that he was still alive and kicking. He tried to move, but his body was yet to respond to his will.

"The awakening process is complete. The host's brain functions are being verified." A voice sounded in Leon's mind. He looked around but saw no one. He was confused.

"I am having hallucinations." He concluded.

"Verification complete. The brain is functioning normally. The body restructure is validated to be a success. The integration will begin in ten seconds. Countdown begins." The series of messages which popped into his head made him look around once again, but it was empty.

"I need to calm down." He tried to move, but his body was still unresponsive to his orders.

"The reconnection is starting. 1 percent, 2 percent, 3 percent." The voice went on speaking, and to Leon's surprise, he could feel the sensation of the body returning to him. It was as if his body was awakening from a slumber.

Slowly enough the voice went on and on with an increasing set of numbers. Leon could feel his strength returning to his fingers,. They are finally over. The next sensations were his legs and abdomen. It went on and soon enough he could feel his whole body.

The voice was at &0% by then. Leon thought that his hallucinations were not only unimportant but also not right. He tried to move, but he was unable to. It was as if the body parts were resisting his control.

"90%, 91%, 92%." Leon continued to listen to the robotic voice until it finally reached the hundred mark.

"100%. Synchronization is complete. The host has successfully connected with his body. Awaiting further confirmation with the user's actions."

Leon was skeptical about the voice but tried to move his body anyway. To his surprise, he managed to move. Soon enough he sat down, inspecting his whole body. The excitement of still being in one piece was so high, that he jumped up.

He looked around his body and inspected every corner he could. The main region he tried to inspect was his waistline. It was where the orc cut him. But to his surprise, there wasn't even a mark left in there. He stretched and did regular actions.

Although the body's shape wasn't much different than his regular one, he could subconsciously feel something was different. He looked around and tried some physical activity. To his surprise, his muscle strength had grown exponentially. he could do all his tasks and he wasn't even sweating anymore.

"Physical examination is done. The recovery is a success. I would like to congratulate the host for returning from death."

"You could at least be funny. I know you are a hallucination, but can't you be more humanlike?"

"The host is suffering from post-traumatic disorder. Explanation process is initiated to calm the host down." Soon enough the world around Leon turned blurry as he felt himself transferring to some location.

When he opened his eyes, he saw a square transparent tablet floating in front of him. To his shock, there was a face drawn on it, which felt much more human.

"I hope you are feeling well," the face said.

"Who the fuck are you supposed to be?" Leon asked.

"I haven't made a formal introduction until now. I am a growth-inducing system made by the heavens themselves to assist my host in growing stronger and becoming the most powerful figure in the entire world."

"I have been given the name AIGIS. : Artificially Intelligent Growth Inducing System. I am here to assist you in your voyage to become the strongest entity in the whole space." The face said things with a clear set of emotions which felt realistic to Leon.

"You are quite amusing for a hallucination."

"I guess your head still hasn't cleared from the trauma you received earlier. The best way to help you make a recovery is by a sudden powerful push." The system murmured something, and high voltage electricity shocked Leon until he was literally charred,.

"Is the host capable enough to distinguish between reality and fantasy by now." The face asked.

"I am" Leon was too scared by the incident. he felt like being pulverized by the sudden shock.

"Good. I will now be explaining the whole situation to you. This dungeon is what you could call a gold mine among the whole set of dungeons that will appear in your world. The room you are standing in is the very last stage one needs to clear to claim the prize which is me."

"Due to some discrepancies, you were able to transcend the levels and reached here directly. Your blood came in contact with the altar and hence the contract was made automatically making you the winner and owner of this place.

Since the host was badly injured during the last encounter with the monster, I initiated the medical and awakening procedure for you to help you recover completely. Every single fault within your body has been healed, and your dominant power has been successfully excavated.

"What is my dominant power?"

"The owner is in fact a dual-element awakener with both berserker and Healer properties. The present magical power could be considered as high class.

Leon was shocked by this revelation and remained silent, excitement being emitted through both his eyes.

"Before proceeding with further explanation, would like to confirm something with the owner. It is an important choice which would affect the owner's and my future."

"What is it?"

'I have two choices for you. They could also be called two very different paths. The first one is you stick with the job you have gained after awakening and continue with it. The only thing to remember is that you can only be guided on specific attributes related to your job type."

"What are the other options?" Leon was interested in hearing about them.

'The other option is you give up on both your attributes and decide to start from the very beginning. There are no limitations on the attributes or the growth potential."

"Please make your choice wisely." The system spoke.
