FUSION

Looking at his fervent expression, Xiao immediately retorted back.

"Hey, don't give me that look okay?"

"But I am starting to think that this may be a fake, you know…"

Xiao had not even finished when Ye Chen cried out in pain.

He felt as if his blood was drying while it rushed much more fast increasing his blood pressure. This caused him to nosebleed as the throbbing headache invaded his mind. He had never felt this kind of pain before, not even when he was being shot dropped back then in prison.

He could no longer hold on as the pain increased causing him to pass out.

'Ooh my god, am I going to die again…' The first thing he thought was dying but he did not feel the thread of death as he lost consciousness. He was able to process that this must be one of the side effects like the ones of the healing pill he had received.

But strangely, he did not lose consciousness the way he expected but it was more of his mind being pulled somewhere else.

A scene unlike the one he was accustomed to in the virtual space appeared before him. It was more like he was there at the moment of the event as he witnessed everything in firsthand.

Countless people with different features were gathered in space with some on spaceships while some were just standing in the air, likely levitating.

It was like a gathering of all entities in the universe. They were here for one thing, the power of origin.

This was a place where the Earth Origin core would be borne to the universe.

The core did not have much use like the Origin power that would be born with. They therefore gathered here for the event so as to experience the benefits.

A sharp aura busted out from their center before a blue light covered the whole space as the Earth origin core came into sight.

No one wasted this moment as they all sat cross-legged to harness the power of the Origin energy.

But just a few breaths later, one figure rushed forward to take the Earth Origin core for herself. It was a lady in purple clothing with a veil on her face.

If the thing was taken away, then the power of origin would surely go with it.

No one waited for her as they all rushed forward to take it for themselves. Although it was not useful for now, but they could still add some modifications for it to produce a weaker version of origin power in more quantity.

After rushing forward, weapons were drawn as they engaged each other In battle. Hammers, swords, arrows, spears, sabers, halberds, axes, wands, cannon balls, laser rays, massive bombs…

A bloody battle emerged as they slaughtered each other for the core. It was only after a day that the battle came to an end with everyone dead. This was because when someone was going to die, they would self-destruct so that no one else would get what they missed. It was more of a mutual destruction scenario.

Gritting his teeth, he could only close his eyes to allow the process to take place smoothly while he silently cursed at Lady Jaya in his mind.

'Why did this woman give me such a precious item, does she want me to die that early, and what the hell is wrong with this fusion, can't it just be gentle and smooth sailing… I really want to cry, what kind of fate is this…'

He felt great power ravage his insides as if overturning him as it went along his blood vessels to his lower abdomen where it seemed to be converging. Feeling the powerful force within him, he already forgot the pain as he was already fascinated by it.

'If I can wield this kind of energy then, there won't be then, there will only be me…' His musings were brought to a halt when he felt the pain subside immediately.

'Phew, thank goodness it is over. Is the fusion complete?' He breathed a sigh of relief as he thought the fusion had come to an end but…

A more painful force erupted within him before he felt his face go blank, this was the kind of pain that even his mind could not register. His face was still joyous at the moment but his eyes were blank.

A pitiful cry resounded in the forest after a while startling away nearby animals. This was only after the pain subsided when his brain perceived the pain wave causing him to cry out aloud.

"Congratulations brother Ye, seems like you have fused with it completely, you really are a dragon among…" Xiao immediately rushed forward to congratulate him as their plan was one step ahead. But the pain caused him not to even care about the praise as he immediately lashed out at Xiao.

"Dragon my foot, you call this being a dragon, fuck this shit then, am more like a chicken here…"
