24 ENERGY GATHERING

Xiao did not say anything as he waited on the sides for him to calm down. He had clearly felt how Ye Chen felt as their consciousness were connected. That was not the pain to be experienced by the current Ye Chen as he was more like a mortal, a weak one at that, he even wondered what Lady Jaya was thinking.

Ye Chen immediately calmed down after a while, that pain was too spicy and juicy as much as he could describe it. Just thinking about it made him shiver subconsciously.

 But luckily, he was already fused with the energy core, what he needed to do was try and gather energy.

A cool sensation ran through his body making him feel a certain comfort that he had almost forgotten. This was the kind of comfort he felt when stretching himself after a good night sleep.

'Even though it hurt badly, this still feels good, this lady Jaya is too evil, tsk…' The cool sensation made him forget the pain as he immersed himself in this new feeling.

"Mm-hmm…" Xiao cleared his throat after seeing him being lost in the feeling, "you should start gathering energy as you already have the core, try out and see if you are comfortable or we should run a simulation first…"

"Aah, okay then, let me try out first…" He concentrated all his thoughts at one point as he tried to imitate the circulation shown in his mind by Xiao, it was an energy circulation path that the origin energy had to follow. The dark energy from around surrounded him immediately as if surrounded by something. It was the energy core that was summoning the energy rather than him. He had not even finished a single circulation when he felt his pores open with blood rushing fast then the dark energy invaded his body.

He tried to control it's intake but he was no longer in control. This immediately alarmed him as he tried to frantically stop the process.

Xiao who was on the side signaled him to relax first, "Just let it run itself first, am sure it has to be activated by this dark energy before you can run the energy circulation. Let's relax for now…"

After hearing this, he relaxed for a bit as he too did not feel an sense of threat or fear.

A vortex had formed where they were as more dark energy spiraled as it was being siphoned. It looked like a violent storm that surrounded him but it was more darker.

"Try running the circulation again…" It was after half an hour that Xiao reminded him again.

Without hesitation, he visualized the circulation path in his mind as he concentrated his thoughts to where the core was located and tried to draw the energy towards his blood vessels.

A violent force rushed through his veins causing him to nosebleed on the spot. This was a clear sign that he had succeeded, without even looking at his situation, he simulated more circulation paths as the energy rushed through his blood vessels to every part of his body.

Sweat trickled down his body as more and more energy coursed through him. Even his face became a bit red as the speed at which his blood flowed was too fast that it almost ruptured his blood vessels.

More and more energy was drawn engulfing him whole such that his body could not be seen anymore. It was like he had been covered in complete darkness as more dark energy surrounded him.

Xiao who was on the sides marveled at this sight as he too felt happy. It was clear that Ye Chen had the affinity compatible with this dark energy making it easier to draw it.

Two hours later, Ye Chen collapsed in exhaustion with a happy smile as the circulation had come to an end.

At last, he was able to harness the dark energy. This was a step closer to starting to practice officially.

He only had to wait for the dark energy to be converted to origin energy then start his training.

The energy was still being drawn in at a much faster rate as more and more vortexes appeared around the duo.

A few hours later, the process stopped as it seemed that the energy core was full.

It was only at this moment that Ye Chen opened his eyes.

"Congratulations big brother, you have officially entered cultivation…" Xiao immediately congratulated him.

"Thank you Xiao, what next now?" He was not sure of what was next but he was still happy to be able to gather energy. At least he had some talent for cultivating superpowers.

"I think next should be training in martial skills but that can wait for now, let the energy be converted to Origin energy before you can start training. Now, let's go meet our precious queen…"

"Yeah, I've really missed her and her precious babies already, let's go…" The two stood up and run towards Soo-Jin's residence as they competed with each their while laughing as their voices disappeared.

With Xiao being straightforward this time, they did not encounter any danger as they traveled back to where Soo-Jin was.

Even Ye Chen did not feel tired as small amounts of energy were slowly released to keep him going. It was like a car running on an endless supply of gasoline. This feeling was too good for him to describe.

If someone saw the two if them rushing forward, they would not believe it at all because in just a split second they would already be out of sight.

Even Ye Chen did not notice this until they had arrived at the Queen's valley. This was a full day journey on foot but it only took them an hour to arrive here.

'Isn't this too far fetched, or did we teleport here… But again it is a good thing as I can easily run away from danger…'

The Queen's valley was as vibrant as ever. A lesson was ongoing as the animals sat down to listen.
