It's a trap!

In a luxurious and brightly lit living room, sat a handsome young man on a throne-like chair. His hand was placed under his chin and he seemed to be thinking hard about something as his brows creased slightly. On both sides of the couch were golden statues of lions that looked like they were roaring. His long legs were stretched out and rested on a golden stool in front of him.

A woman walked in and the clicking of her heels against the smooth marble tiles disrupted his thoughts and brought him back to reality. In one of her hands were two wine glasses and in the other hand, was a bottle of wine. She was wearing a short and revealing green dress with elegant designs, Her black, waist-length hair swayed behind her as she walked towards him with a big smile on her face.

He smiled back at her and motioned for her to come closer using his index finger. Her smile broadened and she moved closer to him and casually sat on his thighs.

"Why do you look so happy today? Did something good happen". He asked as his hand made its way to her back and moved up and down. She leaned into his touch and closed her eyes at the sensation.

"Tell me, what happened that made you smile so much". He stopped moving his hand and rested it on her lower back waiting for her to answer his question.

She slowly opened her eyes and the smile returned to her face. "I've got good news". She said and he could feel the happiness radiating from her body.

"Spare me the suspense and tell me the good news". He pinched her back and she laughed before standing up. She placed the wine glasses on the table and poured wine into them till it was half filled. She gave one glass to him and took a sip from the other.

"Hannah is no longer a member of that gang". He raised one of his perfectly shaped eyebrows in disbelief. "I know right? I also didn't believe it at first, but it's true". She took another sip from her glass and sat on the couch closest to him.

"Oh really?" A creepy smile appeared on his face. He stood up and walked around the living room, tapping his fingers on the walls and pieces of furniture.

"There is nothing much. The mole told me that her annunciator was disconnected from the basements server under Raymond's command." She smiled and leaned forward with a contented sigh. "How long have we waited for this?" She turned around and her eyes followed his movements as he walked. "We finally have the chance to get her once and for all".

"It's a trap". He said, looking out of the window with hands in his pockets.

"What do you mean?" The smile on her face fell and she stood up and walked to stand beside him. "It's not a trap! I have watched her for a week and she hasn't gone to the basement nor has any of them contacted her, not even Raymond!" Her voice had raised higher without her even knowing and desperation was clearly written on her face.

His eyes fell on her and in the next minute, he had her pinned to the wall with his fingers wrapped tightly around her slender neck. "You dare raise your voice at me?"

His handsome face was right in front of her eyes as she struggled to breathe but he didn't loosen his grip even for a second. Her eyes turned glossy and she gripped his hand, trying to push him away but he didn't budge.

After some seconds of struggling, her hand grew weak and she gave up. She thought she was going to die and she braced herself but the door burst open and another woman came in. She glanced at them for a second before walking in like she saw nothing.

She walked to the throne-like chair and sat down before taking the glass that he had drunk out from and gulping the content in one go.

"That's enough now, Damien. She is going to die". She said without even looking at them. She poured more wine into the glass and gulped everything down again.

Damien removed his hand from the girl's neck and she fell immediately. Her hands flew to her neck and she tried to soothe the pain while coughing violently. Damien squats to the girl's eye level and smiles warmly at her like he didn't just strangle her a few seconds back.

"Don't raise your voice next time alright? It makes me angry". He rubbed her hair with one hand and he used the other hand to caress her neck as if soothing the pain.

The girl trembled as he continued to rub her hair gently. He had just tried to kill her and now he was helping her soothe the pain. How terrifying was that?

"Now go get some rest. You don't look so good". Damien said and the girl scrambled away from him in fear before running away in fright even though she was still trying to catch her breath. Who knows what this psychopath of a man would do to her next?

Damien stood up and turned to face the woman who was sitting on his chair with a gloomy expression. "You ruined all the fun Vivian." Damien whined.

Vivian stood up and gestured for Damien to take his seat. He walked to his seat with a smile on his face. "I guess you have heard".

"Hmmm". Vivian passed before speaking. "I think it's a trap". She said and Damien smiled proudly.

"I see you have gotten smarter over the years". He mocked and Vivian rolled her eyes.

"So what do you think?" She asked as she took a seat close to him. "Raymond wouldn't kick Hannah out of the gang for anything, especially not after we attacked her the night before". She said as she furrowed her broke in confusion. She was certain that it was a trap. Raymond wouldn't kick Hannah out even though she kills him so what was this all about?

Damien thought about it for a while before sighing. " I don't know what is going on in his mind but let's be careful. It's not easy to outsmart Raymond. For now, let's stay low and see what he will do". Damien said and Vivian nodded.

"Have you been keeping an eye on my dearest brother?" Vivian tensed up when she heard that question. It was obvious that she was terrified at the mention of Damien's brother. She would rather dine in hell with the devil than keep an eye on that man.

He was all too alert about everything. If he sights her in the slightest, he was going to rip her head off her neck.

"I see, you are still scared of him". Damien smirked. "Don't worry about him, I will be paying him a visit soon. He will be so happy to see me". Damien spoke like he was going to greet his favorite sibling but the dangerous glint in his eyes says otherwise.

"I will also be paying Hannah a visit soon". Vivian said as she raised the glass to her lips. "She is with our daughter after all, I can't wait to see them both".
