11 A3

Sam voice rang out from the other end of the call, "Henry, I think we need to deploy the A3."

The moment Henry and everybody around the table heard Sam mentioned the A3 they stood up in shock, even the soldiers present raised their eyes in shock, but deep within their eyes were excitement too great that it could never be concealed.

"No" Henry replied Sam with a straight face, shocking each and everybody present. They couldn't believe that Henry wasn't willing to deploy the A3. "The A3 are only to be used in times of emergency, it was designed specifically for when human faces the treat of extinction. For example an alien invasion." Henry explained his reason for saying no.

BANG!

Sam slammed his hand on the table at the other end of the call and yelled angrily, "Damn it Henry, if this isn't an alien invasion then what is. If we don't take the necessary precautions, we might as well be facing the risk of extinction."

"Oh" Henry adjusted his glass and sat down to think. After thinking for a while he stood back and announced, "Ladies and gentleman, it is time for the world to know what we have been doing. And let's show these beasts what we have in store for them... Let's show them who the boss is!!!"

"Yesss!!"

"You are right boss!!"

"It is time!!"

"A new era has began!!"

Henry led the people around the table away, the three soldiers present also followed him. Belinda and the rest also tagged along.

Surprisedly Henry led all of them to his office, the children were confused. Even Belinda didn't understand his reason for doing so until he pressed a button under his desk. The very wall behind them separated, exposing the staircase leading downward.

They all descended the stairs curiously, some were agitated while few of them were calm, these were the category of people that are already aware of the secret project. After three minutes of descending they finally reached their destination, what lay out before them were rows of special robots.

"Ladies and gentle men, welcome to the future!"

Dummmmmm

A low humming sound was heard as the walls lit up, Belinda, Hayley and Carter's jaw almost dropped as they realized that the robots Infront of them were the least of the things down here. Infact, they were just for decoration.

Screech Screech

Chase quickly hid under a debris as waves of beast flew past him.

"What is going on? How did they escape.... It must be the nuclear missile" Chase had lots of thoughts rushing through his minds as he dragged his left leg towards his father and mother graveyard.

Getting there he knelt down, ignoring the chaos around him. "Father.... Mother, I failed you guys. I'm sorry I am powerless to avenge your death.... What you said was right father, the aliens had invaded earth and they are now swarming around freely. I hope they realized their mistake by now already, the whole world will regret for not...." The word got stuck in his mouth as he thought about the amount of innocent lives that would be lost. Innocent children, the olds and the disabled people wouldn't have the chance to survive the onslaught of these beasts. It was at this moment that he remembered what his father had always told him, "Always remember son, wherever you find yourself, never turn a blind eye to people's suffering."

Chase folded his hand tightly so much so that his nails drew blood as they dug into his palm, he stood up and looked at his father's grave one more time, "I'm not doing this for Henry nor for earth but for you dad! I'm gonna make you proud!"

Chase turned around and glanced at the EVA building, "Well, here I come" he braced his self as he ran towards the organization. What he didn't know at this moment was that the lifelessness in his eyes had disappeared and it was replaced with a strong determination. Even his leg had healed miraculously as he ran towards the organization.

As he made a sharp turn, he bent to catch his breath. He was about to move out as he suddenly heard a low growl behind him, turning back carefully he saw a beast the size of a dog with two heads and six legs. The beast had two horns each on it's two heads, it glared at Chase with what resembled a ghastly smile on it's ugly face.

"Wait, is that a baby's arm in it's mouth, Fuck!!! I will kill you" Chase suddenly turned back and ran away. To the beast it seemed like he was running away but only him knew what he was doing at the moment, he quickly entered one of the buildings. He immediately went for the stairs with the beast trailing behind him.

"Come on!! I'm almost there"

The six legged beast suddenly leapt off the floor gnawing at his neck, Chase quickly spinned his body agilely, successfully evading the beast's attack. The beast movement were too quick and it couldn't stop itself anymore, it could only brace itself as it fell into the middle of the stairs. Chase looked down and quickly counted the floors, "That should be at least seven floors." Chase knew the beast wouldn't give up if it survived the fall so he increased his speed as he dashed towards the top of the building.

Meanwhile, back to the EVA organization, Kellie and her father were released and led downward towards the same place Henry is.

Henry was unwilling to release Steve but he had no choice, Steve was the only one with the full knowledge on how to operate and build this place. The truth was, Steve was the brain behind the whole EVA organization, Henry was just the founder and funder of the organization.

Kellie regrouped with Belinda and the rest and they watched their parents working on the computer silently. Suddenly a holographic video of the whole country map appeared before them.
