Against the World: The last Monapart

No one with the name Monapart could ever use magic. But no Monapart ever cared about it. They were always the strongest of them all. Each one stronger than the last. The world couldn't accept their existence. When the strongest Monapart died, they swore to never let another one get stronger again. Every human, beast, and demon would be killed at the mere mention of the name... But time passes, and soon, they forgot. "Curses...Curses... The fucking curses! They were the rage, the fear, and the embodiment of someone's will, so why?! Why all of them are made to kill everything?!" Said the first Monapart. But the curse in front of him didn't answer, it just stared at him smiling like always. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- When he was born, he didn't cry, nor made any kind of sound in the process, but no one cared for him enough to notice. After just two days of life, he opened his eyes. An unusual thing as babies usually need at least a month to do so. His green eyes moved wildly looking at every corner of his room with deep curiosity, but not understanding anything in his view. He still couldn't understand the concept of 'thing' yet, but that changed after one month of life. After one month, he understood he was alive and most of the things in the room weren't. He still couldn't put it in words but he clearly knew that he was way different than the chair next to him. The speed of his understanding was outstanding. Sadly, in his sixth month of life, while he was asleep, flames covered his entire room and himself. It didn't take even a second and all the room turned into ashes. The baby didn't die as expected, but he was no longer in the dark room. [ Curse received: Heart offering ] . . [ Heart offering: Once per day the curse bearer will lose one of his five senses until he loses everything or dies ] . . [ Heart offering is taking effect ] . . [ Sense of hearing lost] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- -At least one chapter of 1000 words a day -If you don't like the start, I guess chapter 21 is a good one to jump to but you will still feel a little lost -If you find any error, please comment on it and I will fix it -I hope you like it

Little Friend

Alexander was still practicing his breathing when he heard a noise, opening his eyes, he looked around.

Then he saw a little girl rubbing her head after she fell into the room through the window. Alexander stared at her with curiosity, he assumed this place wasn't easy to find.

The little girl had white hair just like him, but her eyes were bright red. Then she got up.

Filled with energy, she pointed at his face.

"Found you!"

"..." He tilted his head to the side in confusion.

She approached him while studying him from head to toe.

"But why you? She never asked me to find anyone before. What's special about you?"

"..." Alexander didn't know either.

She pulled him and made him sit in front of her. She pinched his leg, squeezed his arms, and pulled his cheeks.

He didn't mind the girl and let her do whatever she wanted.

She sniffed him and realized he had a really nice smell. Then, she bit his neck and began drinking his blood.

The amount of blood he produced naturally was higher than what she could take so she drank five whole litters of blood.

Satisfied, she removed her mouth. She wanted to drink more but her stomach didn't let her.

"Why is your blood so good?!" She started jumping, filled with even more energy than before.

Alexander didn't know how to deal with her. She ran around him in circles and he stood still in silence.

"Why are you trapped here? Why there is a tattoo on your arm? This bracelet is soo pretty! Are you strong? Did mother trap you here? Why are your eyes white? Hehe~ Your hair is the same color as mine. Can you break those chains? Why won't you say anything? Are you mute? Can you talk? Heeeeeeeey..."

Alexander swiftly picked her up and put her on the bed.

"Stay" He slowly let her go and sat on the ground.

She stared at him while swinging her legs. But before he could relax, she started jumping on the bed.

"Hehehe~" She laughed and he couldn't understand why she couldn't stay still.

"Stop" He told her to stop but she didn't listen to him. After a few seconds, he held her again making her sit on the bed. But after he let her go, not only she didn't stay still, she jumped out of the bed and started running again.

He tried to grab her again but she was faster this time. She dodged him and he raised his speed as well. But before he could grab her, she disappeared and appeared on the bed.

"Hehehe~ You can't catch me!"

Increasing his speed even more, he kept trying to catch her but she kept teleporting just before he could.

Lili was having fun running and teleporting around as Alexander chased her. Playing tag was one of her favorite games.

They played for a whole hour until Alexander used shadow steps to catch her in midair.

"Got you"

She struggled trying to get away but he didn't let her go. He tried to put her on the bed again but the little clock on her wrist rang.

*Trin!*Trin!*Trin!*

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh-! I wanted to play more..." After hearing the sound, she became really sad. She stopped struggling and her eyes became wet.

Alexander thought something was wrong and put her down.

"What happened?" He asked her but she didn't answer, instead, she started crying.

Alexander panicked, he was confused and lost on what to do.

"Look, I didn't catch you. I'll still chase after you so you can stop crying" He put her down but she didn't stop.

While panicking, he tried to find out why she was crying, but he couldn't. Then, he looked at his scars and tattoo.

'Maybe she's scared of me?'

He tried changing his expression but he couldn't. He tried to smile but the cold and indifferent face didn't leave. Using his fingers, he forced a smile but it was more creepy than funny so he kept trying different faces.

"...Uh?"

Lili saw Alexander making strange faces and looked at him confused.

"...What are you doing?" She asked him while rubbing the tears from her eyes.

Alexander saw her tears stop so he kept making strange faces.

"Hehe... Stop"

"Stop!...haha. That's weird, hahaha" She started laughing at him.

He stopped after a few minutes.

"Can you tell me what happened now?"

She turned her head to the side looking at the little clock.

"I have to go back to my room. I can only leave it for five hours after someone finds it"

"Why are you here then? Shouldn't you be with your family or friends?"

"When someone finds me, I can do one wish for them, and I can only leave the room if I agree to do it"

"Your family doesn't know where your room is?"

"It changes locations every time someone finds it. But it's always inside the kingdom. Mother said it's very hard to find because it hides with magic"

"So now you have to go back and someone wished for you to meet me?"

"To find you. I'll go tell my sisters where you are and then go back"

"How do I find your room?"

"You want to find it?" She looked at him and her eyes widened.

"Yes, tell me how to do it"

"Well, I don't know how to find it. I know it's a golden door and it can appear anywhere inside the kingdom"

"That's it?"

"Yea..."

"Okay, I'll find it"

"Really? You promise?"

"I promise"

"Yay!! Then, are we gonna play again?"

"Sure"

"Yay! You have to find it okay? It's a promise and you can't break it"

"Don't worry, I will find it"

Lili wasn't sad anymore. She had a big smile on her face as she waved Alexander goodbye.

"Bye-bye! Don't forget it!" She said and then teleported out of the room.

After Alexander absorbed Evan's soul and talent, his proficiency in manipulating his soul raised a lot and he acquired another skill. Now he could see other people's souls as well and he made sure to memorize Lili's.

"I forgot to ask her name"
