Chapter Twenty-one

I sat up in bed and rubbed my eyes with the back of my hand. I had a serious headache which was a result of crying a lot last night before I went to sleep Yesterday was officially the worst day of my life.

I got up from the bed and stripped off my clothes. I was about to go into the bathroom to take a bath when I heard someone calling my name.

Who the hell is calling me by this time? It's just four in the morning.

I wanted to ignore the person because I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone but I kept hearing my name and it sounded like a call for help so I wore my clothes again and decided to check what was happening.

I was running down the stairs when I suddenly slipped. I tried controlling myself by holding the rail but the stairs were slippery. I screamed as I tumbled and fell down the stairs.

The last thing I heard was someone shouting my name before darkness engulfed my vision.
