Chapter 13 - A year worth of scheming (7/10)

Weeks later, during an evening, Chu Yueli came to the city with ten Pearl of Frozen Deception which were in the form of different types of accessories.

As the Frozen Cloud Asgard's Fairy appeared in front of the Xia manor, she heard a sublime music and unconsciously followed it. Unbeknownst to her, she was the only one to hear it.

She arrived into the courtyard and there was a pair of two, a young girl and a young man sitting at a table.

The former was dressed in a blue and white dress, and every single movement she made was graceful and elegant, even her action of pouring tea was a sight in itself. The latter was wearing a dark robe opened on the torso that showed his defined pectoral, he was playing a zither with his eyes closed.

They looked like a lovely couple spending time together.

It was then Chu Yueli came out of her daze.

'W-What the heck is happening...'

Fang Yuan continued to play the zither, the song he was playing was mesmerizing and something the two present girls had never heard in their life.

Once the young man finished, he opened his eyes, which for a moment instead of their habitual dark abyss seemed to contain countless colors, like they contained the nine heavens.

Xia Qingyue didn't see his eyes as she turned to Chu Yueli, but the latter spotted them, and it left her shocked in her place.

If it wasn't for the angelic melody played by him, both Chu Yueli and Xia Qingyue would have been upset hearing what he said.

The former, because Fang Yuan didn't use any honorific to address her Mistress. The latter because of the declaration towards her.

However, all of a sudden the song changed tunes, all the other sounds in the world ceased as an enormous killing intent clad its notes.

In the courtyard, Xia Qingyue was staring dazed at the young man. She felt even more interested in him, but strangely also pleased and proud.

It was then Fang Yuan stood up, approached her and started to pat her head.

Xia Qingyue didn't reject him as she immersed into the tactile bliss of his caresses, her eyes fixed on him, contemplating how they had gotten to this point.

It goes without saying that if a year ago anybody had told her she would be so close to a guy, she would have scoffed at such delusional thoughts if not directly beat them up.

And there she is, spending time with a guy, letting him stroke her hair.

After a while the young lady asked him.

"How did you… What was that?"

Fang Yuan gazed at her, showing a teasing smile.

"Huh? This was just a simple technique I developed a month ago, do you like it?"

'You have subdued a Profound Sky Realm expert with a simple technique?!' Xia Qingyue thanks to her perception, somewhat knew he was telling the truth, but she found it ridiculous.

She took a long hallway that brought her to the door of what seemed like the main hall.

Once there, she announced herself.

"Mistress, this humble Chu Yueli demands to meet you."

There were a few seconds of silence before a domineering and icy voice that was completely devoid of emotions answered her.

"You can enter Li'er."

Having her Mistress consent, the woman entered the room.

There was a woman seated on a frozen throne, she looked to be in her thirties and was dressed in a short snow dress that exposed her alluring legs which were exalted in azure stockings.

Her face was like condensed ice, and her eyes were like a cold blade.

Chu Yueli rapidly got down on one knee.

"Greetings Mistress."

The Mistress nodded at her.

Beside the woman on the throne on both her right and left, there were six women who were in snow-white attire.

Every single one of them had skin of ice and snow and features beautiful as snow lotuses, their charm could ruin cities.

These six were members of the Frozen Cloud Seven Fairies, to which Chu Yueli belonged.

But one of them stood out from her peers as her features were even more refined and exquisite.

The Frozen Cloud Seven Fairies obeyed, they cupped their hands at her and left without posing any question.

Chu Yuechan was perplexed about their current predicament and especially that man, Fang Yuan.

Once the other left, Gong Yuxian gazed at the First Fairy.

"Chan'er since you'll be my successor you will have to know a great secret about our sect."
