9 Chapter 9 Beautiful but full of shit

"What is it that you want to talk about with me?"

Yang Chen spoke with a smile. Now that he knew that she just didn't know how to act around men, everything made sense.

He was like another person when he smiled. And that made Lin Ruoxi feel relaxed a little bit.

He didn't seem to be judging or pressuring her anymore. 

"Marry me."

She splurted out of what she wanted to say to him.

Yang Chen, who was about to drink the very expensive coffee, stopped and looked at her again. Lin Ruoxi's sudden request took Yang Chen by surprise. He couldn't believe his ears.

"Miss Lin, can you speak again but slowly, Why do I find that I'm hearing things."

"You aren't hearing things." 

It seemed that Lin Ruoxi was determined and returned to a cold, indifferent face, as she said. 

"I said, I want you to marry me! Get married immediately!"

"Ah-ah, that's not a way to talk with people, lady. Please be more soft with your words. And your expression is too cold. Am I your servant or something?"

Yang Chen scolded her a little and tried to calm himself down. He couldn't understand why Lin Ruoxi would suddenly ask him to marry her, especially since they just knew each other properly not even an hour ago.

Lin Ruoxin's face turned red in embarrassment when she heard him. She quickly composed herself and took a deep breath before responding. 

"I apologize for my rudeness. But please marry me."

Yang Chen shook his head, then replied.

"Miss Lin, this is too much. You can't say you want to marry me just because you sleep with me on the cold and hard floor once, right? Marriage is something that concerns a person's entire lifetime, I believe you need to carefully reconsider, do not act on impulse."

Lin Ruoxin's eyes widened in surprise at Yang Chen's rejection. She didn't think that he would reject her like this. Was she that unattractive to him?

Yet Lin Ruoxi immediately shook her head. 

"This is not on impulse. I'm clear as to what I'm doing. I'm also not young, it's about time I married, however there has not been a suitable person to choose... Of course, don't think that you're the worthy enough for me to choose. Due to various reasons, those things yesterday happened..." 

At this point, Lin Ruoxi's pretty face involuntarily blushed, then she immediately followed with. 

"I can tell you clearly, that I'm a very reserved woman. Rather than be forced to marry with a man that I'm unfamiliar with and loathe, why not choose you, at least... You seem like a nice man..."

Yang Chen was speechless once again. Now he had become a nice man? And what with worthiness? He wasn't the one who would be forced to marry. He didn't even want to come here in the first place.

"Who forced you to marry? Your family? You should be old enough to decide that for yourself, and my answer is still no. Too much commitment, and as you have said, I am not worthy to be with such a high and mighty woman as you. I think I heard enough of what you want to say."

Yang Chen sighed. He tried not to be angry with her. But her way of thinking was too much. 

"And another matter, Miss Lin, I knew what you truly wanted. And why you ask me to marry you. The marriage you want is only for display, you need someone as a male that complies to you. In comparison with the other candidates, I seem to be the easiest target because I am poor, right?"

Hearing her plan being spoken out, Lin Ruoxi couldn't help but feel a little uneasy, but she did not deny it as she nodded.

"I will give you 10 million yuan if you help me."

Lin Ruoxi offered, then shook her head.

"No, 100 million! I need you to marry for only 3 years!"

Lin Ruoxi's offer was met with silence before he finally spoke. His patience almost ran out.

"You are really a sigh. It isn't about money. Even with someone who had helped you, you still dare use him. How could I trust someone like you?" 

Lin Ruoxi wanted to say something, but he stopped her and continued.

"You would throw me away anytime you wanted if it meant you got what you wanted, right?"

Lin Ruoxi's face was brimming with guilt as she realized the truth in his words. She had the intention of using him as a shield. And if it was inconvenient for her, She just divorced him if he didn't want to. She would use every way possible to force him to divorce her.

Seeing her like that Yang Chen's patience ran out.

"Don't you dare ever come near me again."

Yang Chen then poured the coffee on the table and stood up. He was glad that he didn't drink it. He didn't care if it was rude. This woman needed to be taught a lesson, but he won't do it.

"Beautiful but full of shit..."

Yang Chen then left. Lin Ruoxi was shocked to the core and sat there without saying anything.
