52 Chapter 52 It's all true

Lin Ruoxi saw that the security guards were about to arrest Yang Chen. She walked in front of Yang Chen and said,.

"What are you doing?"

The security guards had to stop; they were confused as to why Lin Ruoxi walked in front of the man. They then looked at Mo Qianni. She was the one who called them to arrest the man, but now the CEO asked them about what they were doing.

How were they supposed to answer the question?

Wasn't the man barging into the office because he wanted to harass their CEO? They exchanged puzzled glances, unsure of how to respond. 

Mo Qianni looked at Lin Ruoxi in confusion, wondering why she was suddenly questioning the security guards.

"CEO, why are you stopping them? Did that man do anything to you?" 

She asked, her voice filled with concern. Lin Ruoxi's expression remained calm as she replied, 

"No, he didn't do anything to me. He just came here to deliver food for me. And why did no one inform me that he came to see me?"

Normally, if Yang Chen wanted to meet her, he could just ask the front desk to contact her. But no one contacted her. She didn't blame Yang Chen because her people should know how to handle such situations. 

Seeing Lin Ruoxi's reaction. Mo Qianni realized that Yang Chen really came here to deliver food for her, and then she remembered that Yang Chen told her that Lin Ruoxi was his wife. Then didn't that mean he was actually the husband of her boss?! 

This realization made Mo Qianni feel a mix of surprise and awkwardness. She couldn't help but explain everything to her.

Hearing her explanation. Lin Ruoxi nodded. Yang Chen knew many languages. It wasn't that unbelievable, as she witnessed something more miraculous he could do.

"You are really impressive, Yang Chen. Why don't you work here with me instead of the phamarcy company?"

Lin Ruoxi asked with a small smile. She really loved talented people.

Seeing her smile, everyone except Yang Chen was stunned. They were taken aback by Lin Ruoxi's unexpected behavior. They had never seen her smile like this before.

Mo Qianni was the most shocked, as she had known Lin Ruoxi for a long time and had never witnessed such a genuine display of emotion from her.

'He must really be her husband. What should I do? I acted so rude toward him!'

"I can help you from time to time."

Yang Chen replied to her that he could help her from time to time but not full-time, and that already satisfied her.

"You all leave. But Mo Qianni stays."

The security guards quickly left while Mo Qianni stood there, feeling scared of what her boss would do to her.

"Qianni, You don't have to be nervous. Everyone makes mistakes from time to time. And I would like to formally introduce you to my husband. His name is Yang Chen."

Lin Ruoxi introduced Yang Chen to Mo Qianni, hoping to ease the tension in the room. Mo Qianni felt a wave of relief knowing that her boss and friend were not angry with her, and she greeted Yang Chen with an awkward smile.

"So everything that you said to me is true. I am really sorry for any misunderstandings or doubts I had before." 

Mo Qianni apologized sincerely.

Yang Chen heard that, and she nodded with an easy-going smile.

"It's okay; I knew that it was hard to believe that someone like Lin Ruoxi would marry someone. She's a workaholic, after all. And earlier, when I took the test, many men came here not because of the job but just to mess around. So it was understandable."

Mo Qianni looked at Yang Chen. How could he be so good at understanding and being forgiving? If she were him, she might have held grudges against her. 

Lin Ruoxi didn't know whether she should be happy or sad that Yang Chen thought about her like that.

"Now that I have introduced him to you, next time when he comes here, just let him come to my office directly. I will also find a position that suits him in the company."

Mo Qianni nodded, then she didn't have anything to say anymore, so she excused herself. She needed to find more people to work for their PR department.

"Let's eat the food. You must not skip food next time, okay?"

Yang Chen sighed. Just bringing food to her was so hard. She must eat it, or he will be angry.

Lin Ruoxi nodded and then started eating her food. Her food was still warm because Yang Chen had used his Qi to heat it up.

Yang Chen watched over her to make sure that she ate properly and didn't skip any bites. He knew how important it was for her to maintain a healthy diet, especially given how hard she worked herself. 

"You don't have to watch over me like I am a kid."

Yang Chen shook his head and then went to sit on the sofa near her. He then pulled out his mobile phone and began scrolling through his social media feed.

Lin Ruoxi saw that his attention was diverted and took the opportunity to separate vegetables that she didn't like from her plate. She discreetly placed them away so Yang Chen wouldn't notice.

"You don't want to eat them; that's fine. I would eat them for you. I am not that strict, my dear Ruoxi." 

Yang Chen said it with a smirk. Lin Ruoxi saw that smirk, and she felt annoyed that he could tell what she did. She sighed, then ate it. She wasn't a kid after all.

"I really want to eat glutinous rice."

Yang Chen heard her mumble under her breath. He chuckled a little bit, then memorized it. Next time, he would ask Wang Ma to make it for her.
