23 Chapter 23 Abandonment issue

Yang Chen still underestimated how far she was willing to go if it meant that she could go to the realm of gods.

She was willing to throw everything away. Even her own life seemed insignificant compared to the opportunity of entering the realm of gods.

The desire burning within her was so intense that she would sacrifice any worldly possession or relationship without hesitation.

"Are you serious? What about your father and brother."

"They would understand. Everything that I did was for them too."

"No it is not. You are a really dumb idiot."

Yang Chen didn't know what to feel about this situation. Her feelings and her behavior were really messed up. And her body was full of Yin qi. He doubted she would live long.

He didn't have to check her body to know it. Her pale complexion and the way she carried herself spoke volumes about her deteriorating health.

"What did your sect teach you? Your lifespan is being shortened. And your body is full of yin qi. You need to find a way to balance it out before it's too late."

He observed the girl's fragile state. He knew that if she didn't take immediate action, her life would be in grave danger in the future.

"How can I balance it?"

Xia Qingyue listened to his words and acted like they were some kind of gospel. Yang Chen didn't really know much of what happened to her in the past from Xiao Che's memories. But he could tell that something was wrong with her mind.

'Let's find out slowly. I might have to spend a lot of time with her from now on anyway.'

Yang Chen made a mental note to observe her psychological state closely.

"Show me your hand."

Xia Qingyue showed her hand to him easily. She didn't act cold toward him anymore. It was like she was confident that he would not do anything bad to her.

Yang Chen shook his head and then checked her pulse. Then he injected his yang qi into her body. His yang qi was more powerful than her yin qi, so his yang qi could balance and strengthen her energy.

As he did so, Xia Qingyue's body began to glow with a warm, golden light.

Yang Chen could sense the positive effects of his yang qi on her, as her pulse became steadier and her complexion improved.

He knew that this treatment would help restore her vitality and bring back balance in her energy channels. But it was just a temporary solution.

In order to fully heal Xia Qingyue, Yang Chen would need to continue providing his yang qi regularly and ensure that she followed a proper regimen of rest, nourishment, and energy cultivation practices. Only then could she achieve long-lasting balance and vitality in her body.

Or he had another way, but it was a bit risky. He needed to perform needle acupuncture on her so her body wouldn't accumulate yin qi anymore.

And before that, like any other doctor, He needed to know the cause of the frozen meridian first.

"The icy cold power you used earlier, what was that? I have never heard of anyone in Floating Cloud City with that skill. Your master is not a person from Floating Cloud City, am I right? Of course, it's up to you whether or not you want to tell me."

Xia Qingyue was silent for a while, then calmly replied. She felt so much better and did not feel cold and rigid anymore.

"Frozen Cloud Arts."

"Frozen Cloud Arts?"

Yang Chen thought about it a little bit. This technique sounds familiar. It was like he had heard the name of this technique somewhere before. And when he finally recalled it, the words escaped from his mouth.

"Frozen Cloud Asgard?"

Xia Qingyue tilted her beautiful head and looked at Xiao Che with a surprised expression. Then she nodded in understanding. Someone like him should know about her sect.

She then lightly said,

"My master is indeed from Frozen Cloud Asgard so I can be regarded as a disciple of Frozen Cloud Asgard.... This fact, the only person in Floating Cloud City who knows of that is my father. You are now the second."

"I tell you this.... because you are my husband now."

"Am I really?"

Xia Qingyue heard that, and she started to panic. She remembered that she had been rude to him and hasn't apologized yet. He didn't want to be her husband, which was normal. She quickly apologized.

"I apologize for my previous behavior and any offense I may have caused. It is understandable if you do not wish to be my husband. But please don't abandon me!"

'Abandonment issue, I see.'

Yang Chen observed her and knew the reason for her past behavior. There's no psychologist in this world, so it was completely understandable for someone like her who has been through a hard time since she was young.

Yuanba was too young when their mother left them at that time, so the impact wasn't as great as hers.

"I understand, I am just joking."

Yang Chen reassured her, gently taking her hand in his.

"I will never abandon you, no matter what. I can promise you that."

Xia Qingyue's condition became more stable as she felt the warmth of his hand. Physical contact therapy and emotional support were crucial for her.
