Afterlife Dream - Game Guide

BACKGROUND

Hello, adventurer! Nice to meet you.

My name is Fairy Chan. I will be your guide through the beginner tutorial.

Your last life on earth has been cut short due to very unfortunate circumstances and we are deeply sorry for your bad experience. We greatly hope that it does not discourage you from giving life on earth another try.

In order to compensate for the past unsatisfactory journey, you are herewith reincarnated into "Afterlife Dream", a virtual world that allows you to gain as many life points as possible to use as leverage when starting your next life on earth. More information on this feature will be provided in the Game Guide under Life Points.

GAME GUIDE

a. Gender

You can choose between male or female. Same-sex marriages are allowed. Gender change scrolls are available for purchase against gold in the market section.

It is only allowed to change gender once every three months.

b. Jobs

Four beginner jobs are available to pick on : Warrior, Rogue, Bowman, and Mage. All jobs undergo weapon specialization during the second job advancement and then refined during the third and fourth job advancements.

Warriors either use swords, spears, axes, or hammers.

Rogues either use throwing stars, daggers, or katanas.

Bowmen either use bows or crossbows.

Mages either use staffs or wands.

Please pay attention to the description of each weapon carefully before you choose a weapon. Please choose the weapon that best suits your fighting style.

Job change scrolls are available for purchase against gold in the market section.

It is only allowed to change job once every six months.

Weapon change scrolls are available for purchase against gold in the market section.

It is only allowed to change weapons once every three months.

c. Attributes

Four attributes affect your character :

- STR : Directly proportional to HP. Higher STR means higher physical attacks.

- INT : Directly proportional to MP. Higher INT means higher magical attacks.

- DEX : Higher DEX means higher accuracy and also a higher evasion rate.

- LUK : Higher LUK means higher moving speed and also higher critical rate.

d. Skills

Irrelevant to the chosen job, skills are divided into two categories : active skills and passive skills. Active skills require players to cast in order to take effect, while passive skills are inherent to the characters. There are four tiers of skillset : the first tier, the second tier, the third tier, and finally the fourth tier.

In order to access the skills of a higher tier, players must go through job advancement exams. The second job advancement questline will be open at level 50. The third and fourth job advancement questlines respectively will be available at level 70 and 120.

One skill point will be given for every level gained.

e. Attribute Points

24 attribute points are given during character creation. Distribution upon the four aforementioned attributes happens randomly through dice rolls.

Afterward, every level will grant you one attribute point. Attribute points can be used to increase the aforementioned attributes further.

f. Life Points

Life points are obtainable through defeating raid bosses. There are altogether 12 levels of raid bosses. The number of obtainable life points increases with the difficulty of raid bosses.

Life points can be traded with relevant town NPC against specific advantages for the next life. Please head toward said NPC to find out the kind of advantages that are available for trading.

After defeating every raid boss, players are given the chance to exit the game for good and be reborn on earth.

ATTENTION : Once you exit the game you cannot go back to reclaim or trade your points anymore. Please remember to trade all life points before you exit the game.

g. Gears and Weapons

All gears and weapons can be crafted. Materials can be farmed, collected, obtained through bossing or events.

Enchantment scrolls can be used to upgrade enchantment levels of gears and weapons. Two similar gears or weapons are required to combine into a gear or a weapon with one higher level. Enchantment scrolls are dropped from quest and dungeon bosses.

The maximum level of enchantment is 20.

Enhancement stones can be used to randomly add one additional attribute onto the gears or weapons. Failed enhancement will result in broken gear or weapon. Please exercise utmost caution before enhancing anything.

Enhancement stones are obtainable from field bosses.

There is no limit to equipment enhancement.

h. Ranking System

Players will be ranked every week, month, and year based on the following achievements :

- level (player level, fame level, house level, pet level)

- number of monsters killed

- number of raid bosses defeated

- number of dungeon instances completed

Players who rank 1-3 in every period will receive gift boxes containing gachapon coupons. Gachapon coupons can be used to play gachapon machines in town. For a list of obtainable items, please refer to relevant gachapon NPCs in town.

i. Miscellaneous Game Features

- Skills are unlocked at level 3.

- Mounts are unlocked at level 5.

- Guilds are unlocked at level 10.

- Homes are unlocked at level 15.

- Alchemy is unlocked at level 20.

- Farming is unlocked at level 20.

- Cooking is unlocked at level 20.

- Crafting is unlocked at level 20.

- Fishing is unlocked at level 25.

- Marriages are unlocked at level 30.

- Pets are unlocked at level 30.

- Raids are unlocked at level 50.
