5. First mission

Once the rest of the team joined them Davis noticed Travis was driving and Frank was in the passenger seat. This was odd as usually the marksman would be in the gun turret and the captain would be in the passenger seat.

The captain was the last one in the back and closed the door. "Move it." was all he said before Tavis punched the gas so hard everyone leaned to the back of the truck.

"New guy, I have two rules. 1. No heroes you don't break formation to save anyone. Not even me. 2. If you run without being told to, you will die. If not by the zeaks, or freaks then by me. Am I clear?" The captain said this while staring at Davis as if he could peer through his soul.

"Y-y-yes s-s-sir" was all he could stammer out.

"Your first mission should be an easy one. We got word a small group of survivors found a bunker with some weapons and food. What they found and if anything is left we don't know, but that's our job now. We make contact if they join us great. If they just want to trade fine. If they fight or try to run drop 'em. Remember headshots we don't want them getting back up."

Davis nodded. He couldn't understand why his first mission was against normal people. 'I thought zeaks were the targets not people.'

Duke had a big grin on his face. "I hope they got some booze to trade. Base is drier than Brooks mom."

"Hey man I didn't know you like zeak beak" Brook shot back.

"Zeak beak?" Davis ask cautiously.

"Yeah some guys get desperate and fuck zeaks. It's not uncommon. Some guys even make a little extra on the side with rounding up entertainment for the other boys" Duke said while giving him a wink.
