Chapter45: I love you

Alex took me to the rooftop of the building and I was mesmerized by the site. I could see each and every building in the city and the air is so fresh. I closed my eyes enjoying the view and the breeze was so great. I heard Alex laughing but I still didn't open my eyes. Then I felt his hands on my waist and he kissed my closed eyes.

"Baby, open your eyes."Alex said and I smiled then I opened my eyes. I met his black ones looking at me." Do you know how pretty your eyes are?"he asked and I smiled. He brought his hand on my neck while the other one was still on my waist. He brought his face towards me and I automatically closed my eyes anticipating for the kiss. Seconds flew and it still didn't come. Then I furrowed my eyebrows and I heard him laugh. I opened my eyes only to be welcomed by Alex laughing his heart out. 

"Baby you looked so cute. Why were you closing your eyes anyway?"he asked chuckling.

"Alex, I don't have time for you teasing me like this. Bring it on." I said because I really wanted to kiss him.

"Bring what on baby?"he asked trying to act innocent.

"I want the kiss now. Why are you playing dumb with me?"I asked him bringing him closer to me. He kissed my lips and I couldn't be more happy. His lips always tasted great. He sucked my lips and licked them and I wrapped my hands around his neck tightly and I tiptoed to be more closer to him as possible. 

"Why are you so aggressive today baby?"he asked immediately he pulled away. I had had no enough but I didn't say anything." How was the kiss? You're standing on one of the tallest building around. What I'm saying is I'm sorry I stole your first kiss  in such a manner. I brought you here to atone for my mistake. I wanted to give you a first proper kiss. I know it's not the first but I still wanted to give you the kiss of your dream."he said and I hugged him immediately. I didn't expect he was thinking of my first kiss.

"You didn't have to. I told you I enjoyed my first kiss."I told him still in his embrace.

"I know but I love you and I will do anything for you. Including making your dreams come true baby. Do you understand?"he asked and I nodded.

"Thank you Alex for being here. I loved the kiss so much. I'm so happy right now."I said.

"You don't look happy though."he said and I looked at him then I tiptoed and kissed his chin.

"I'm happy I just want to be in your arms appreciating this moment."I said leaning back on his chest.

"You know when I met Drew today, I made my decision to tell you that I love you. He asked if you know I do and I told him you don't. Then I thought it's better I tell you this early. Though I hinted it to you last time we were discussing Val."he said and I creased my brows in confusion. I didn't remember him telling me anything.

"Remember when I told you, you make my heart beat faster. That I always long for you, to be with you. That I can't get you out of my mind. You remember right? I said those things that I felt and are more intense nowadays. Maybe you couldn't get it because you believed what I said about not being sure about what I feel for you. But I love you baby."Alex said resting his chin on my head. My heart was racing right now and I don't know what the hell is happening to me. I thought he could even hear it because of how loud it was beating. Then he said the shock I didn't expect.

"I'll be going on a business trip for two months in China."I got out of his embrace immediately and looked at his face. 

"Two months?"I asked and he nodded. I feel really angry with him right now but I'm not gonna say anything. He has to go on his business trip. I can't hold him back."it's okay but promise to call me everyday okay."I said sullenly and he chuckled.

"Sure baby. Of course I will."he said hugging me again.

"When are you leaving?"I asked.

"I'm supposed to leave tomorrow evening but I can do some adjustments. I have my own private jet so I can leave the time I want. I'm supposed to be there on friday. Today is on Tuesday so I will leave on Thursday morning."he said and I nodded."don't worry I'll leave the credit card for you. I made you a credit card. And that car I bought for you, you are retaining it. Your old car is not usable anymore. I can't have my girlfriend driving old car and I have all the money to buy her a nice one."

"Alex, honey, that's too much. The car is too expensive. I love my old car. I also have my own credit card, I don't need yours."I told him.

"Can we not argue about that. You are not getting your old car back and you are gonna use my money that is in the credit card. Well it's yours since the card has your name on it."he said shrugging. I can't win a conversation with this guy. He does what he wants and I can't tell him anything.

"When will you tell me about your nightmares and all that?"I asked

."After I come back. I want you to hold on to something."he said patting my shoulders and I pouted like a child being denied his rights to eat ice cream. I didn't say anything because he wouldn't tell me if he doesn't want to. I just sulked a little.

"Let's go back. It's getting windy and you are not wearing any sweater. I don't want to leave you having a cold before I leave for my trip."he said leading me back to his office. I really wanted to stay a bit longer. "I can always bring you here if you love this place so much."he said and I looked at him smiling. He just read my thoughts.

We went to his office and I sat on the couch while he was getting done with some documents. I couldn't believe I ditched work to come with him here. I'm happy though, but lately I've not been taking my work seriously because I have this man here who is always sabotaging my work. I felt sleepy because I was not doing anything other than enjoying the view outside which was kinda inviting sleep. I had stomach cramps but they were not severe so I didn't make a fuss. I was not as moody as some hours ago but I was not my usual self.

I was woken up by Alex who brought me a a glass of warm water." Drink this water it Will help a little."he said.

"Help with what?"I asked back because I really didn't get it.

"With your cramps of course." He said smiling."I saw you holding your abdomen while sleeping and I thought you are having cramps. How long are you having your you know?"he asked and I laughed. This guy is funny.

"The cramps are not that severe so you don't have to do this. But thanks anyway. My period goes up to five days but not all those days I usually have cramps. I usually have cramps the first two days."I said as I drank the warm water. Alex just nodded and came to sit with me on the couch."are you done with work?"I asked him.

"Yeah. I want to go make dinner for us. How is your wound on your palm?"he asked and I stretched my left hand out for him to take a look." It's healing faster than I thought. "He said looking at it.

"Yeah. I have been avoiding water contact with it."I said smiling. He kissed my forehead and after I was done drinking the water. We left and went home.
