After Xavier left I looked at Alex who seemed as if he was lost in his thoughts. I held his face in my hands so that he can look at me."what is it honey?"I asked him worried.

"How do you know Xavier?"he asked and I frowned.

"What do you mean?"I asked him. I seriously don't understand what is really wrong with him. 

"Please answer me."he asked again and I sighed. I looked around at the empty Inn and I took Alex's hand." Where are you taking me baby?"he asked and I stopped to look at him.

"We are going home."I told him.

"What? Are you done eating your ice-cream? Plus, we have to go shopping remember?"he asked and I shook my head.

"You are obviously not okay Alex. I can't stay here and let the people who want to eat their ice cream not eat or delay them anymore because I want to have a big conversation with you, you are hiding things from me again and I won't let you with this issue you are hiding this time. You said you will buy me an ice cream maker right? Then I'm fine. Let's go home. Shopping can wait."I told him and he held my wrist tightly.

"Okay. Let's do what you want."he said and we left for home. We went straight to the bedroom and I sat Alex down on the bed.

"What is going on between you and Xavier?"I asked him straddling him.

"I asked the question first. How do you know Xavier?"he asked and I pursed my lips.

"Fine. If I tell you, you are going to tell me what the hell is going on with you. I can't bear to see you frowning Alex and you don't want to talk to me about what is happening."I told him and he nodded.

"Okay. You go first."he said and I nodded.

"Well, Xavier and I went to the same boarding school. In high school. We were not friends obviously because I didn't have friends who were boys. I guess I didn't have friends at all. But that doesn't mean I wasn't seeing what was happening in school. Xavier was this don't care person who didn't give a shit about anything because he came from a rich family. He was actually the richest guy in school. I don't think there's more to how I know him."I said and Alex smiled bitterly nodding.

"He's the cause of all my problems."Alex said and I frowned confused.

"What do you mean?"I asked him wondering how Xavier, the stupid guy I used to know can be the cause of the problems for the strongest Man I have ever known in the world.

"Did his father use to come to school. You know maybe during school meetings or something like that?"Alex asked ignoring my question.

"No he didn't, I don't know who came on behalf of his parents. I used to hear that his dad is a criminal and that his mom divorced his dad because he was a criminal. But maybe those were just rumours. I really don't know anything about that."I told him and he nodded looking away.

"Do you think I'm a criminal?"he asked an unexpected question and I stiffened. He looked me in the eye and I felt my heart start to race. Now that he asked me that question, do I think Alex is a criminal? He is the leader of a fucking mafia group. Is he a criminal because of that?

"No you are not a criminal Alex."I told him and he chuckled.

"You just said that Xavier's dad is a criminal, what if I told you that he is also a mafia group leader? Doesn't that make me a criminal too baby? I'm a leader of a Mafia group too."Alex said and my lines at the forehead deepened.

"What's this coming from Alex?"I asked him.

"Just answer my question."he asked softly. There was no hint of anger at all.

"I just said that you are not a criminal Alex."I told him.

"Will you ever divorce me one day because I'm a criminal baby? Will one day reach when you will leave me?"he asked looking at me and I looked at him speechless.

"What the fuck is this Alex? Are you listening to what I'm saying?"I asked him but he smiled.

"I am a criminal. There is nothing that can change that baby. You said it yourself. Xavier's father is a leader of a Mafia group too and you just called him a criminal because that's what people call us, criminals, because that's who we are. Do you...."

Slap!!!

I slapped Alex angrily." Are you listening to what I'm saying Alexander? You are my husband and not a criminal. I don't fucking care what the hell you do, do you hear me? I love you no matter who you are. You are my Alex who loves me and treats me like a queen. The great Alexander Scott who is the most successful person in everything he does. You are my life and I can never leave you because I can't live without you. Did you listen to what I just said?"I told him tears flowing down my cheeks soothing Alex's cheek that I just slapped.

"I feel like I'm going crazy baby. Xavier is messing with my head. And now I just don't know.... baby do you think I'm coward?"he asked me and more tears run down my cheeks. It hurts me so much seeing Alex like this. I can see him breaking down slowly and I don't know what the hell is the deal with him and Xavier but I have a feeling it's something really serious.

"No... honey. You are not a coward. You are the most brave person I know Alex. You are the most courageous person I have ever met."I told him massaging his hair.

"But I'm really scared right now. I don't know what to do. Xavier is really dangerous baby. He is a psycho. I'm not really scared of him, I'm scared that he will take you away from me. Did you hear what he said?"he asked and I smiled at him.

"He won't do such a thing honey. Because you will protect me just like you have been doing all this while. Nothing is going to happen to me."I told him but he shook his head.

"You don't really understand anything baby. You are now pregnant and Xavier can do anything. He is really dangerous."Alex said and I smiled at him.

"Don't listen to his threats. He's always been a dumb person and I don't think he's changed a bit. Just relax okay?"I told him.

"He was not bluffing when he said that he has become something else now. None of what he said  was a joke. You maybe only know the stupid guy from high school but now he's not stupid, he's a psychopath."Alex said and I my smile faded from my face.

"What are you saying?"I asked Alex.

"His father is the leader of the Mafia group after you."he said and my heart stopped beating for a second.

"What?"

"Yeah. There is more to that too. He is the one who killed my sister."Alex said and I brought my hands to my mouth tears flowing down my cheeks like a damn river. Oh my God.
