19 Chapter 17: Silver test 2- Tales from Hell

'twiiiiiiii!!!' a bright light engulfs the surrounding Sandy area

"Mmmmmmm"  a wounded Edward, mumbled.

The person healing him was a defeated looking Genevieve with her light magic.

Amaka was also there searching for any other surviver.

"Grrrrrr mmmmm" Edward's eyes open slowly and he sees his teammate's sad face.

"Gen... Genevieve! Sir! Where is he?!" Edward struggles upwards.

"He's gone just like the others" amaka answers bluntly.

"Couldn't you say it differently" Genevieve said pissed off.

"Well our current situation isn't looking good either, no back up, no information" amaka said.

"There's information..... We were attacked by an alchemist's assistant, she took sir and the others were captured and turned into philosopher stones, a source of power used by said alchemist" Edward finally came to his senses.

"Philosopher stones? Amaka! Do you think that what does salamanders took the others for?" Genevieve.

"salamanders and alchemists working together? I'm not from your world but that sounds like a fanfiction" amaka once again said bluntly. "Furthermore whether to pursue them or keep waiting is another matter entirely".

"Waiting? An Amazon doesn't wait when her friends are in trouble! If we don't hurry the alchemist will absorb those or worse!" Genevieve shouted..

"we aren't going anywhere without a plan? We're this close to silver rank and I wouldn't want to die due to ignorance" amaka pointed out.

"Silver rank doesn't matter when our friends lives are on the line!" Genevieve shouted.

"Would you two shut up! I hear something!" Edward yelled alerting the rest.

'rustle rustle rustle' the bushes around the lake start to move as suddenly...

"Shriiii" a black skeleton like figure jumps out holding a piece of blue cloth in it's mouth.

"What the hell Is that?!" Amaka quickly backs away.

"A chimera? Is that the same Chimera you talked about?" Genevieve asked.

"Yah but that cloth, it's sir's! Edward then tried to collect it but the chimera moved to the west.

"I think it wants us to follow it? Could it lead us to the others?" Genevieve asked.

"Well we've got no other choi....." Edward was about to take another step before...

{Body link} a strange sensation took over both his body and Genevieve's this was the doing of amaka's magic.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Genevieve shouted at the girl in a purple cloak.

"I said we can't act rashly, our chances of victory are still 50:50, but the chances with back up increase by 30"

Amaka says calmly holding both arms straight.

"Like Genevieve said, if we let the alchemist have more time there's a possibility he could take Remi's demon and the lives of everyone there which is a huge blow to our kingdom!" Edward shouts.

"How do I know your not just saying this due to your relationship with Remi? Honestly I could give more of a shit for a pack of goblins than him" Amaka admits her dislike towards Remi.

"Because I care about Remi just as much as I care about this kingdom, and I'm even willing to bet my life on his" Edward admits.

"Such loyalty,(why do people even like a guy like that?)" Amaka said confused.

"Hey your friends are there too! And if that's enough I can give you 50 gold coins as collateral" Genevieve said like a salary man "50+50 means 100:50 so our chances are more now!" She said happily.

"That's not how it works" Edward said with sweat in his head.

Suddenly they both get control of their bodies again

"Better not let me regret this" Amaka said in an intimidating voice.

"Yah..." they both said, Despite her Petit figure, this Igbo girl was a green snake in the grass.

The trio then followed behind the winged chimera which was surprisingly fast despite it's appearance.

In Edward's head there was only a single thought (what was happening to Remi right now).

Mountain base

This Rocky mountain was the void of life no trees no grass miles away from it, almost like the very earth was dead around it,

Inside was even worse, black stones decorated the cave floor, however these stones had spiral patterns on them and were cracked.

"Slickkk", "sliiick" the sound of wall climbing could be heard from within, this was the work of the salamanders they seemed to have made this Abandon mountain their home, however there was another presence here

'step step step' the gentle steps of a lady could be heard there as well she was wearing another black and white dress since the last one was dirtied with blood.

"Huhuhuhu, even though master looked furious he still accepted all the stones I gave him thankfully!" She laughed

"Homus you naughty girl, you can't think of your master like that huhuhuhu!" Homus covered her red cheeks and danced around the black stones.

"Now there's just one thing left to satisfy my master... That disgusting Chimera!" Homus shouted and the shout echoed through the whole hollow mountain.

Mountain core

Here sat on a throne of golden stone what looked like an old man in red robes, his white hair was braided by the sides of his head, one brilliant red horn stood out from his forehead his pale skin complimenting it, his red eyes looked dead inside and his fingernails were long and curly.

7 red philosopher stones and a blue one we're on a table facing him, he pick up a red stone and sucked on it.

The color soon vanished as it made contact with the man's cracked old lips.

"Stri stri strik!" The blue stone moved restlessly on the table alerting the old man.

"Hmohhh........ could it be...... A demon soul?" The old man reached and touched the stone however when he did something strange happened.

"Hmoooooooooo!" The man's eyes glowed blue as he's mental world was invaded by a foreign body.

Mental plane.

Pure darkness reigned here and two spiritual entities could be seen floating a blue one and a red one

"Rahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!" The anger wails of a young body finally echoed freely from the blue spirit

The old man in his red spirit form watched as the boy swung his arms in rage.

"You killed him! I saw you kill him!" Remi yelled his one blue horn grew bigger as his eyes had only hate in them.

"Brother..... It's me, don't tell me you've forgotten our mission?" The old man said with his red horn glowing fiercely.

The old man's horn then elongated and made contact with Remi's.

"What are....." Remi tried to fight but as soon as the old man's horn touched his, his mind was swallowed up.

Flashback Hell.

Remi then bore witness to an environment which could only be described as hell itself, bones everywhere countless black hands grabbing unfortunate souls and ripping them apart, alongside these black hands walked demons, some had wings others had tails, and a few only had claws, these particular group we're loitering around and acting idle compared to the other who were working.

The old man appeared next to Remi and said

"Our home, one we took for granted" he said sadly.

Next thing Remi knew a giant black hand flew past him and grabbed a handful of idle demons

"You worthless pieces of shit! Amongst all my minions you are the worse of them all!"  A disgustingly powerful voice spoke out, the voice irritated Remi but he couldn't say a thing

"I here fort banish you from my domain! However I will offer you all a chance to redeem thyselves" the massive darkness spoke out the hand still holding the demon made a black portal showing an image of the world Remi currently resides in.

"My father has once again created an abomination of a world! Within this world resides the 4 keys of apocalypse, retrieve the keys and I shall return you to my domain"  the darkness then flings the 100+ demons into the world.

"Reign havoc and kill as much as you have to! Find those keys" the darkness then vanished.

"All of us were tasked with finding those keys, all we knew is that the resided within special individuals of the world" the old man spoke again,

"The keys were artifacts with the potential to destroy worlds"

The demons arrived in the world corrupting it and it's people, numerous disgusting mutants were born from the blood of the demon dubbed "Monsters", while the corrupted humans who happened to get in contact with the blood developed features, longer hair, scales, fins, giant ears e.t.c, this divided the humans into different races making the demons job easier.

"We demons can only use our power once we find a host in this world, however it was a difficult task for most of us, demons come in 3 categories"

1st- Daimos(3 horned, the strongest type, allowing them to completely control their host and use all their demon skills)

2nd- Sinros(2 horned, only 7 existed the form of contracts with beings who are associated with the seven deadly sins, they can only uses their full power when they are in sync with their host)

"And finally us" the old man said happily

3rd-Impus(1 horned, we are the weakest, once we pick a host our mind fuses with the host and we become 1 being gaining both the goals of our own and the human's).

"Hehehe" he laughed "my human name was Carlson, an alchemist obsessed with immortality, the day and fused with my demon was the best day of my life, I created hundreds of homunculus(artificial humans) to create philosopher stones and Chimeras to capture humans however" Carlson's smile disappeared.

4 bright lights fell from the sky into the darkened world, carrying a group of people of different colored skin, cream,brown, white and black.

"These were humans brought from another world, God must have planned to abolish are reign because" Carlson hissed.

"These new humans we're something else, their strength were a 100 times more than normal, we demon viewed ourselves as immortals but we were wrong".

Demons have cores within them that contain their souls, Daimos have 3, Sinros have 2 and Impus have 1, once the cores are destroyed the demon turns into ashes and dies.

"Many of us died causing the Daimos to split into groups called the demon Lord factions, they each took a hand full of Impus and left, leaving us the weaker ones behind" Carlson said grimly.

"And what was worse was that the Sinros, switched sides! Those bastards, they joined the humans succumbing to their sinful desires! I'll kill all 7 of them!" Carlson cried.

"Years passed and my homunculus died out leaving only 1, my chimera knowledge began to fade from my mind with age, I was slowly dying without the necessary amount of stones, so I had my last homunculus search for a missing chimera I created 10 years ago" Carlson said again.

"During the war caused by Wruk! The demon of Wrath!" Carlson cursed.

"Wruk was that the name of my demon?" Remi pondered he didn't know Wrath had another name.

"Despite my hate for him it's due to his foolish war, I was able to create a chimera using a human from the other earth.... Now if I can just find it, I'll be able to make more and take over this kingdom!" Carlson smiled and put his hands on Remi's shoulders.

Remi's mind quickly went back to the docile chimera he met before, it was a human from his world.

"And with you my fellow Impus brother! We shall rule together now speak your name to me" Carlson's eyes flared up.

Suddenly Remi's spirit form started glowing dark blue and another entity emerged from his left side.

"Kyahahahaha! What an amusing history lesson I didn't think I was so popular kyahahhaha!" Remi's mouth moved on it's own the voice belonging to the demon of Wrath himself.

"Kisttttt! " Carlson backs aways and hisses "You bastard it was you all along! You dare mock me!" He cried.

"Blame your own foolishness, mistaking a Sinros as an Imp! Unforgivable!" Wruk yelled.

"Hehehehehe it seems your true powers haven't returned shown by your lacking of 2 horns, right now my power should be enough to eat your soul!" Carlson slapped his hands together.

'Grosssssososos' millions of red arms appeared from the darkness and charged towards Remi and Wruk.

Carlson yelled as all the hands grabbed the body of his enemy.

"All you demons are insane, how you mess with the lives of others is disgusting" Remi's voice came out despite being strangled.

"Kehehehe kid, this guy is just the tip of the iceberg, an Imp is nothing compared to the Daimos!" Wruk yelled.

"Despite how much I hate you Wruk! This Guy isn't someone I can beat without your power" Remi said hatefully.

"Using my name now are ya brat?! Hahahaha no worries as long as this battle gets me off I'll help you" Wruk said smiling like a maniac.

Both beings sharing the same body yelled at the same time looking at the alchemist.

"I'll kill you!!!!!!"

"I'll kill you!!!!!!!"

A bright blue light engulfed the entire mental Ares destroying the red hands as well 'skruiiiiiiiiiiiiii!'.

"What the?!" Carlson cursed as he was forced out of his domain.

Mountain core.

"Gahhhhh!" Was pushed off his throne of stones and fell to the hard ground.

The blue philosopher stone glowed white and took back it's original shape, Remi returned and quickly kept the remaining 6 stones in his bag, he knew exactly who was in these stones sadly the one he couldn't save was Reginald.

"You'll pay for everything you've done!" Remi pulled out his Abara sword.

Suddenly red lightning appeared on the ground and lifted Carlson up numerous weapons made of stone we're created took aim at Remi.

"I swear it now, I'll devour your soul Wruk!!!!" Carlson shouted.

Meanwhile

The cave began to rumble alerting Homus.

"My master is furious! Who dares to defy him she starts to walk deeper into the cave before...

{Air wall!} A massive wall of cyan air forces her backwards.

Homus turns and hisses "You! I left you for dead!" She cried.

"A hero can't be killed by a worthless homunculus" Edward says full of rage.

"Hohohoho  bold of you to guess my race! Let's go! Time for a round 2!" Homus takes her stance by putting her two hands forward.

"Trust me, it won't be much of a match" air starts to rotate around Edward symbolising his gathering Mana.

Unknown to these two the chimera was currently digging it's way past them in it's mole form, which gave it giant black claws, 'mogumogu mogu' the chimera crawled underground unnoticed.

Elsewhere in cave.

Genevieve had her hand full as well.

"Hmph!" She laughed as she was stared at by 10 red scaled salamanders.

"My mother would have been able to take on a 100 of you lizards" she said proudly.

Amaka then quickly slipped to the side, "It seems you've got this so I'll just go look for any other survivers in this cave" Amaka wasn't the fighting type and she doubted she could support the Amazon.

"Whatever! Come at me salamanders!" Light energy covered Genevieve's body as she  charged at the lizards.

Remi's goal is to kill the Alchemist,

Edward's goal is to defeat Homus and get to Remi,

Genevieve goal was to destroy the salamanders,

And Amaka was looking for hostages

Watch as all these things unfold next time!.
