Don't Leave

Alexander tugged at Isabella's dress, blinked his eyes, and said softly, "Don't leave."

Isabella gently shook her head, "I can't, I really have to go to work."

Alexander bit his lip, looked at her with puppy eyes, like an abandoned little animal, "Don't leave."

The hand holding Isabella's dress tightened a bit, holding on even more tightly.

Isabella couldn't resist this, but she had plans for the day. After a moment of thought, she said, "How about you come with me?"

Alexander blinked, "Okay, let's go together."

He looked so innocent and adorable!

Isabella couldn't help it, she pinched his cheek, "Okay, we'll go together."

Today, Isabella had plans to meet with Claudia, a senior from the film school, mainly responsible for costumes and makeup. Although Claudia is not well-known now, she is a future big shot.

The film studio was in the suburbs, and it took Isabella and Alexander quite a while to get there.

Claudia, in charge of makeup, soon arrived after Isabella contacted her.

"Claudia!" Isabella pushed Alexander's wheelchair and greeted Claudia with a smile.

Claudia curiously looked at Alexander, "Who's this?"

Isabella explained, "This is my husband."

"You got married?" Claudia was surprised, "When? Why didn't you invite me to the wedding?"

"No, no," Isabella smiled, "It was a hasty ceremony."

Claudia looked at Isabella and then at Alexander. Her gaze lingered on Alexander's wheelchair for a few seconds, and she suddenly seemed to realize something. She leaned over to Isabella and whispered, "Did your parents disapprove, so you secretly got married?"

Isabella: ...

What could Isabella say? She could only play dumb.

Thinking she hit the mark, Claudia didn't dwell on the matter. She led the two to a makeup room.

"Sorry, the crew has been busy lately, we can only chat here for now, and there's no one here at the moment," Claudia said.

"It's okay, this place is fine," Isabella said.

She pushed Alexander to a dressing table, took out a Rubik's Cube from her bag, and said, "Alex, would you like to play with the Rubik's Cube here?"

Alexander looked at the Rubik's Cube, recalling the day of the wedding, his eyes filled with a smile, and he began to fiddle with the Rubik's Cube.

Isabella felt relieved seeing him behaving well.

Claudia looked at the two with some curiosity.

After finishing the business discussion, Isabella was about to leave. Just as they stepped out, they heard a loud "slap."

The sound of a crisp slap echoed on the set. In the nearby shooting area, a woman in a pink dress, full of anger, gave a fierce slap to another woman in yellow clothes.

"Oh, Director, I'm so sorry about that, I forgot my lines again. Let's do another take!" the woman in pink said.

The director shouted "Cut" and looked at the woman, wanting to say something but hesitating. Finally, he said, "Let's do another take."

Another loud slap followed, as the woman in pink gave another solid slap to the woman in yellow.

"Lisa, just because you ruined your appearance... Director, sorry, I forgot it again!"

Isabella narrowed her eyes, she could tell that the woman in pink did it on purpose.

Claudia explained, "That pink dress girl is Diane, the second female lead in this drama. She targets that girl just because the actress in the yellow dress is prettier than her."

Isabella pondered, "Was she forced in by the investors?"

With such chaos, the director couldn't say much. This actress was either a star or someone from the investor's side.

Claudia nodded, "The investor's girlfriend, Diane, is Liam from the Harrison family."

"Who?" Isabella was surprised.

"Liam Harrison!"

Alexander raised his eyebrows upon hearing this name.

Liam, who was rushing to the film studio, suddenly sneezed and mumbled, "Who is thinking about me?"
