5 Chapter 4: Ryzel's Love Life

Lyre paused before he continued.

"I went shopping yesterday with my brother.

We saw them together in the restaurant; they were very close, and they even laughed together.

Both of them said that they were just friends.

Ryzel can't quite understand what Lyre shared with him a while ago.

So, from the time Lyre went out of his laboratory, which was two hours ago, until now, he was still lost in his thoughts.

Ryzel's boyfriend is Dwight Barlowe, a high-level sentinel who can be regarded as a talent because he is only twenty-four years old and is already a colonel in the army.

Dwight can be said to have grown up with the support of his family.

His parents were close friends with Dwight's parents. So when Dwight's parents died in a pirate attack when Dwight was twelve years old, his parents took him in.

He can still remember that his young self didn't want to be a guide but to stay as an ordinary person because he didn't want to be bound to others.

His parents are a sentinel-guide pair, so for someone like him who doesn't have a high physique, the chance for him to awaken as a guide is very high.

Even if he didn't want to, when he reached the age of fifteen (15), he still differentiated as a guide.

His relationship with Dwight can be said to be very normal; they are not even close to each other because they are busy with their own lives.

They still treat each other with respect, and when they meet, they just say hello to each other.

Starting three years ago, Dwight started getting closer to him.

After confirming their relationship, how they got along didn't change much, except for additional dates and messages.

Dwight was busy in the army, so he didn't have a lot of time to be with him, and he was also busy with his studies.

Not having a lot of time with each other is not an issue for him, as he actually likes spending more of his time in his laboratory.

Ryzel was already satisfied with how they got along, as he really wasn't clingy like others. So, when Dwight proposed to marry him six months ago, he readily agreed.

Their marriage to each other was already scheduled to be held next month.

That is why he didn't understand what Lyre told him. So he can't help but recall their conversation again.
