Chapter 15: General Lewis

It has been many days since they have known the results.

Ryzel was well aware that the results of the matching tests were known to all academy students and those with connections.

They should have known that the matching test resulted in less than thirty percent (30%) of all of the high-level sentinel who participated.

They were all dumbfounded by the results. Knowing that Ryzel created a new record as one of the guides who was the hardest to match with sentinels.

Others didn't believe it, but Ryzel continued to have a match with other sentinels, but the result was still the same.

Ryzel had already undergone match tests four hundred and fifty (450) times, yet his compatibility with other high-level sentinels remained less than thirty percent (30%). As a result, Ryzel became increasingly frustrated.

Ryzel was very helpless about the results.

In the past few days, a lot of high-level sentinels who weren't from the academy expressed their willingness to have matching tests.

Most of them were high-level sentinels who knew someone in the academy.

His relatives didn't disappoint him either. They really did a lot to stop him from looking for a partner.

One of the things they did was stop the spread of his matching results to regular citizens.

They also stopped everyone they knew from even attempting a matching test. Even the army they are in charge of and connected to was not allowed to attempt a matching test.

They also stopped all their business partners from participating or helping him.

That's why it's already a week before his birthday, but he still can't find a partner.

His relatives stopped almost everyone who could perform a matching test. That's why no one came to him after his batch-match tests.

The sentinels only started to initiate a matching test after some sentinels known by the students came to him for a matching test.

The families of those who came have the same power as the Hanes family or higher than them. That's why his relatives can't stop them.

But even though they came, his match rate was still the same; it just changed the number of sentinels who had a match test with him.

Even the matching center was already watching him because of the number of failed test results.

After looking for high-level sentinels for almost a month and having matching tests with four hundred fifty high-level (450) sentinels, he still can't find a match.

His birthday is in six days, and he still hasn't found a partner.

The brother of Lyre, Luke, didn't respond to the message about him looking for a sentinel. They probably had a mission and couldn't send messages outside.

He was aware that Luke considered him a younger brother, and he also treated Luke as an older brother.

Knowing that his marriage had been annulled and that he was looking for a partner, Luke would not simply stand aside and watch. But until now, he still hasn't received a reply from Lyre's brother.

With his remaining time blocked by his relatives, he still has no idea where to search for more high-level sentinels.

Now, after concluding four hundred and fifty (450) matching tests without having a rate higher than 30 percent with any of them, he was unsure if he could still find a sentinel within five days.

"Haizz, why is it so difficult to find a partner? " Ryzel can't help but say it loudly.

Others don't even need to look for a companion; instead, their lovers find them.

The majority of them only need to run a matching test once, and they're good.

However, he still needs to find a high-level sentinel and has conducted numerous matching tests with no success.

***

In the dark space, a streamlined silver-plated spaceship was currently cruising the universe after a battle with the Zergs, going back to the capital star.

Inside the spaceship, General Lewis, and his adjutant, Mervin, were talking in the office.

Lewis looked at Mervin, waiting for him to report what happened.

"Well, Brigadier General Luke taught Colonel Dwight a lesson in the name of sparring," Mervin said while leisurely leaning on his chair.

"What I want you to report is why Brigadier General Luke taught Colonel Dwight a lesson in the name of a spar, making Colonel Dwight unable to perform properly in battle."

Luke was part of his special armed forces that he had been leading for years, so Lewis knew that Brigadier General Luke was not a man who would disregard military discipline just to teach someone a lesson. That's why he wanted to know the reason behind it.

Colonel Dwight was injured by Brigadier General Luke making him unable to properly control his mecha in the battle against the Zergs a few days ago.

"A few days ago Dwight canceled his supposed wedding with Ryzel, a friend of Luke's brother," Mervin replied.

"Ryzel?"

"You remember him, right?" Mervin gave a knowing glance at Lewis.

"Of course, I remember him. I never forgot him anyway." Lewis said seriously.

"You never forgot him?!" Mervin looked so surprised that he raised his voice.

His eyes looking at Lewis had just one meaning, wanting to know more.

Lewis gave a hard stare to Mervin and said, "Then, what happened next?"

Lewis asked to know more of what transpired and to avoid further questions from Mervin.

"Well you know Luke treated Ryzel as a younger brother so of course once he knew it, he was very angry."

Lewis was very sure that if it was just a cancellation of marriage then Luke would never break the military discipline rules.

"According to Luke's personality, he would never break the rules if it's just a cancellation of marriage. Guess? What do you think happened?" Mervin asked with a mischievous smile.

Even without Mervin asking. Lewis was already thinking about what might be the problem.

"How old is Ryzel?" Lewis asked just to confirm.

"Ryzel is currently nineteen years old (19)."

"Ryzel was born on February 18th. He'd be twenty in six days," Lewis stated with a chilly glare, his demeanor becoming more menacing.

His hands that were resting on the table clenched. While giving off a deadly aura.
