Chapter 1 - Home at Last

Earth 20XX

Somewhere in the California, USA

"I, I did it! The circle worked!" After a small flash of light, a tall figure appeared out of nowhere. As the dust started to settle, you could see the figure's appearance. He was a tall and rather normal-looking man, even though his attire was as if he had come from an anime cosplaying contest. After a minute, he looked up at the sky.

"I'm home now...", the man said as a tear rolled down his cheek. After seeing so much after so long, he was grateful for even being succeeding in a risky operation. He had achieved the impossible, he had come back.

At 18 years old, Aiden Kaytz was summoned to another world. He was also summoned along with two other people, Alex and Kate. They were all given the role of a hero and tasked to defeat the Demon Lord. They were promised to be returned home if they were to defeat the demon king. After a hard and grueling 8 years, they had succeeded in eradicating the demon race and killed the demon king. The heroes were ready to be welcomed by the King of Vest, the country that they had been summoned to.

Things should have been very simple from then on. The king had other plans, and he didn't need any more unnecessary heroes in the way. The king's secret forces were sent and they had kidnapped Alex and enslaved him to become the bride of the Princess, Avalre. They had kidnapped Kate and locked her in the dungeon, using her for experiments and their sick games. Aiden was able to survive by sheer luck. He was able to teleport away and was forced into hiding.

For the next 12 years, Hanzo had secluded himself to the empty Demon Lord's Castle and had started to come up with a plan. A plan to save everyone, including Alex. This involved going back in time and to change everything. To have never been summoned, to have never suffered the loss of Alex and the years of torture that Kate had to endure. After all of that planning, it was ready. The [Reverse Circle]. A magic circle that transported someone to a different time and place in the past.

Aiden's destination? A year before the summoning. The time right before the trio had met. If he was successful, then all of the bad would disappear, but so would their friendship as well. A small price to pay for salvation.

Thankfully, everything went off without a hitch.

Now, Aiden was more ready than ever to change fate.
