An Imoogi

Night had come again, for the third time Leon came to deliver food. This time Yena asked the bird to stay and accompany her. Yena feels lonely because Lucifer doesn't ride around. After all, Yena still resented him.

"Did you see Lucifer? Where is he?" Yena asked Leon who was sitting on the window sill. While Yena herself had just finished eating her dinner.

"I don't know. Is he not here?" Leon asked back.

"Hm, maybe he's downstairs. Leon, by the way, what kind of creature are you?"

"You can think of me as a demon." Leon said. The fact is that he is a demon.

"By the way, I haven't seen any other demons besides you and Lucifer. Isn't there anyone here except you guys?" Yena continued to ask curiously.

"The demon is only me, Lucifer is not the demon he is a creature that is a higher level than a demon," said Leon.

"What's the difference? You both can change between animals and humans. I call that kind of thing a demon." Yena chuckled.

"Lucifer is not an animal, he is an Imoogi." Leon argued again.

"Okay, whatever it is. You haven't answered my question, is there no other creature around here besides you?" Yena went back to her first question.

"Nothing. This is Lucifer's territory. Except for me, there's no one else here. After all, the current population of demons isn't much. The demons that still survive in this world choose to live in a place far from humans," explained Leon.

"Oh? So then don't you have a family? There's no way a crow demon is just one, right?"

"Oh?" Hearing Yena's question this time Leon's face was slightly disturbed.

The boy frowned and said plainly, "In the past, there were many crow species, but Lucifer has killed them all."

"Eh?" Yena gasped. She straightened her back and looked at Leon confused.

"What do you mean?"

"Forget it. I'll go first." Leon said then jumped out. Yena saw the crow fly and disappear into the darkness.

The girl furrowed her brows in surprise. Did he mean that Lucifer had killed them all? Is that true?

Yena was skeptical. Even though Lucifer looked cold and heartless, Yena felt that he wasn't evil. She always saw the tenderness deep in his red eyes.

"Ah! He hasn't been up since earlier? What is he doing down there?" Yena muttered then decided to follow him. It's late and time to sleep. Getting here Yena doesn't feel safe if Lucifer isn't in the room. especially now the window glass is broken and open. Yena felt a little horrified.

The girl walked back towards the place where Lucifer usually was. Sure enough, The Imoogi was soaking in the pool as usual.

"Do you want to sleep here?" She asked. Lucifer didn't move in there.

"You are okay?" Yena felt something was wrong. She crouched down and dipped her hand in the water. The girl pursed her lips as she felt the pool water was warm, unlike usual.

"Shh." Lucifer hissed softly. Its massive body moved and then shrunk in the water. A second later he came out with a human figure.

"Ah--" Yena closed her eyes reflexively.

"Can't you give a signal if you want to change?!" Yena grunted in annoyance. She almost saw a fresh sight for the second time.

Bruck

Lucifer threw his body on the bench by the pool. Yena opened her eyes and saw the man was already dressed. However, his slightly pale and dispassionate face drew attention.

"Are you ill?" Yena reached out her hand and touched Lucifer's forehead. for the first time, she felt the heat from Lucifer's body.

"You must be sick!" Yena exclaimed in surprise. Can cold-blooded creatures also have a fever?

"Hurry up!" Yena asked.

That night a cold wind from outside blew in through the broken window. Yena tied the curtain tightly so it wouldn't move in the wind.

She saw Lucifer lying on the bed still opening his eyes. The creature looked very docile and defenseless.

Yena sat on the chair and looked at him with furrowed brows. Hard to believe this creature could get sick.

"It's dry." Lucifer took the cloth compress that was stuck to his forehead and handed it to Yena.

Yena was surprised to see that the cloth compress was completely dry. She touched Lucifer's forehead again and felt the man's body very hot.

"What's the matter with you, really why do you have a fever like this?" Yena panicked. She immediately went to the bathroom to wet the compress. Lucifer's body temperature seemed to be very high, if it was a human he would have had a severe seizure. It's a miracle that he's still fine.

"I think I have paracetamol in my bag." Yena just remembered. She rushed to check her bag and luckily the paracetamol pills were still there.

"Drink this." Yena handed her two pills to Lucifer. Before Yena had time to get water, Lucifer chewed the medicine without blinking.

"Eh? Not bitter?" She was a bit surprised.

"Bitter!" The man smirked and stuck out his tongue. Yena laughed as she handed him a water bottle.

"Don't worry. You'll get better again. By the way, how come you got sick like this? Have you ever been sick before?" Yena asked curiously.

But what was asked did not budge. Yena saw that Lucifer had closed his eyes. The man seemed to be frowning thinly.

Must be a headache. Yena was a sensitive person, although she was a little hesitant she reached out and massaged Lucifer's forehead.

that night, he took care of Lucifer with care. Within an hour the compress has been moistened several times. The sleepy and exhausted Yena sat on the chair and fell asleep face down on the edge of the bed. A few seconds after falling the girl was fast asleep.

Lucifer's eyelids opened. His wistful neutral gaze slowly flashed a faint glow as he stared at Yena's innocent sleeping face.

He reached out and touched the top of the girl's head. Then a short smile crossed his lips as he noticed that Yena's impression of him was getting better and better.

His strong hand came down and caressed the girl's smooth cheek gently.

"Perhaps, the heavens won't punish me either if you stay by my side willingly. Isn't that right?"

...

Again, Yena only woke up after the sunlight broke through and brushed her face.

The girl squirmed a little and opened her eyes. The first thing he saw was Lucifer lying down with a slightly pale face.

Yena immediately checked his temperature and was relieved to know that his fever had gone down.

"Kwak!!!" Leon's loud voice was already heard from afar. The crow came in with breakfast.

"Kwak--"

"Syutt...." Yena put her index finger in front of her lips seeing Leon about to release his loud voice.

"Don't be so loud. He's sick," she whispered.

"Oh?" Leon widened his eyes hearing that.

"Are you kidding? Lucifer? Sick?"

"Yes. Why is that? He is also a living creature, of course, he can get sick. Please take care of him for a while. I want to take a shower." Yena asked. She grabbed her toiletries and rushed into the restroom.

Leon looked at Lucifer lying on the bed in astonishment.

"Now you can wake up." He said.

Lucifer's eyelids moved and he opened his eyes without difficulty. His blank expression was filled with coldness again.

"Come closer." He pleaded. Leon obediently flew over.

grep

"Khokk!"

Lucifer pressed his knuckles against the blackbird's neck and lifted it. Leon thrashed. Lucifer brought the bird close to his face, looked at him with a pair of emotionless red eyes, and whispered,

"Didn't I tell you to watch your mouth when you're around Yena? Would you benefit from telling Yena that I was the one who killed your entire species?"
